Chapter 187.2

Editor: Jodi

The wedding ceremony was somewhat intricate, however neither Lin An Lan nor Cheng Yu showed any impatience. In fact, they both felt that time flew by, because before they knew it, they had already reached the moment where they would exchange rings.

Cheng Yu took the ring from the box Yu Heng was holding, then slipped it onto Lin An Lan’s finger.

And Lin An Lan, also taking the ring from the box Pei Qiu was holding, slipped it on his ring finger.

The audience erupted into thunderous applause.

Then amid the sea of blessings, Cheng Yu kissed Lin An Lan’s lips and held his groom tightly.

He had walked through high school, through university, through adolescence and youth, and finally, had arrived in front of the person he loved most, earning the right to spend the rest of his life with him.

His eyes sparkled, filled with excitement and happiness that couldn’t be contained, and in Lin An Lan’s eyes, they reflected like a brilliant galaxy.

Before meeting Cheng Yu, he had never imagined what his love might look like. But after being with Cheng Yu, his love took on Cheng Yu’s form.

He patiently and gently taught him what love was—love was understanding, love was tolerance, love was possession and letting go, love was getting hurt over and over again but still moving forward, love was knowing the pain yet never blaming the other.

Love was also respect and compromise.

Lin An Lan learned about love from him, and then entrusted all of his love into his hands.

His love was precious and rare, and he entrusted it all to him, boldly and without reservation.

And so, they became the most suitable and perfect match.

I never doubted that the most beautiful scenery in my life was meeting you.

Lin An Lan smiled as he leaned in to kiss Cheng Yu.

The wedding finally concluded in the afternoon, and after the guests had left, Lin An Lan and Cheng Yu discussed with the photographer about taking a few more pictures.

Xu Sheng insisted on joining in and even dragged Hua Rong in to join the fun.

Lin An Lan laughed as he watched, then suddenly remembered something and asked Cheng Yu, “Do you need to take pictures with your father and grandfather?”

Cheng Yu was in a good mood, and so for once, was willing to ask Cheng Feng about this.

Cheng Feng thought it was a good idea. Then he looked towards Cheng Xiao, who didn’t refuse, which meant he agreed.

The four of them took a family picture together. Cheng Xiao looked at the picture of his grandson and Lin An Lan standing together—it was indeed pleasing to the eye, a perfect match, except… they were all men! Sigh!

He was getting on in years, and after sitting here all morning, was feeling tired, so he decided to go home.

And Cheng Feng, seeing that Cheng Yu and the others were still having fun, said a few words to Cheng Yu, then prepared to send Cheng Xiao to the car.

However just as he was leaving, he caught sight of Jiang Xu from afar. He glanced at him but didn’t stop, walking forward as if he didn’t know him.

Cheng Xiao also noticed and said as he looked at him, “You really are heartless. He’s after all still your son, don’t you feel even the least bit of sympathy?”

Cheng Feng responded calmly, “I never wanted him to be born, and I never thought he would be. If it hadn’t been for his overly clever mother, he wouldn’t even have the chance to stand here.”

“Earlier, when he came to see you twice, I thought you might have some feelings for him.”

Cheng Feng thought back to those two times and explained, “Because at that time, Xiao Yu and Lin An Lan had just gotten together. Just barely.”

He was actually still very aware of many things about Cheng Yu, such as his love for Lin An Lan, and also that he had entered the entertainment industry because of Lin An Lan.

At first, he didn’t take this liking seriously. After all, he had also liked Yu Hanshuang once, however that didn’t stop him from getting entangled with other women. Among the wealthy, relationships were never that clean, so he didn’t object when Cheng Yu wanted to play around.

It wasn’t until Cheng Yu entered the entertainment industry for Lin An Lan, then poured resources into becoming a top star that he realized Cheng Yu’s feelings for Lin An Lan might be different from his own feelings for Yu Hanshuang.

And sensitive to the danger, he didn’t refuse when Jiang Xu came looking for him and instead met with him so as to restrain Lin An Lan.

After all, he knew what Jiang Xu was after and understood the connection between Lin An Lan and Jiang Xu.

So, he intended to use Jiang Xu to separate Lin An Lan and Cheng Yu.

However both he and Jiang Xu had miscalculated. Jiang Xu underestimated Lin An Lan’s integrity, and he had underestimated Cheng Yu’s love, so in the end, they both lost.

He opened the door of the car and got in with Cheng Xiao.

Jiang Xu glanced back at them, feeling a sense of irony in his heart. He had never imagined that they would meet again in such a setting—at Cheng Yu and Lin An Lan’s wedding.

He no longer had the energy to lament the father-son relationship that never really existed. What made him sad, was that his best friend had left him—not only had he left him, he had also married the one person he could never reconcile with.

Lin An Lan walked over to him, handing him the wedding favors that they had prepared for their guests.

Even though both he and Cheng Yu were men, they still wanted to liven things up and so had prepared wedding favors for all their friends and family.

Jiang Xu accepted the gift, looking at him deeply.

While Cheng Yu wrapped his arms around Lin An Lan subtly, smiling gently at him with an air of kindness and warmth. “We’re going to take some more wedding pictures. Do you want to join us? My friends are about to head over.”

Lin An Lan also said with a smile, “En, it’s more lively with more people.”
