Chapter 32.2

Jiang Xu really didn’t expect him to be angry for so long this time. Besides, even if he had gotten angry after he had suggested that to him, wasn’t he still doing what he had asked?

So how could he be still angry with him?

However whenever Lin An Lan was angry, Jiang Xu had never been able to do anything about it so he could only nod his head and say, “Okay then.”

“Then that that, I’ll go back first.”

“Wait.” Jiang Xu called out to him, “How have you been?”

“Quite well.” Lin An Lan replied then added, “You finally know to ask if I’m okay.”

Jiang Xu froze for a moment, only realizing then that Lin An Lan actually cared about this.

“I know he won’t hurt you.” He said, “He’s always liked you quite a bit, so I know he won’t hurt you.”

“That’s true, Cheng Yu treats me very well.”

“And has he taken you home yet?”

“Home?”

“Yes, back to the Cheng family’s house.”

Lin An Lan frowned, “Why would he want to take me back to the Cheng family’s house?”

“Of course he won’t take you there of his own accord, that’s why you have to ask him.”

Lin An Lan:???

“I don’t think we’ve reached the stage where we can meet the parents, right?”

It wasn’t like he was planning to marry Cheng Yu this year.

Jiang Xu sighed, “Xiao Lan, I don’t want you to be around him for too long so just talk to him in a few days and let him take you home.”

Lin An Lan felt that he couldn’t understand again, “What does me meeting his parents have to do with you?”

“Of course it has something to do with me.” Jiang Xu took his hand in his. “After all we’ve done, isn’t it just to get him to take you home? When the time comes Cheng Feng will definitely be angry and then you can leave him after your work is done.”

“What do you mean?” Lin An Lan looked at him suspiciously, “Cheng Feng is?”

“Cheng Yu’s father, I told you that already.”

“So you mean Cheng Feng wouldn’t like me and Cheng Yu being together?”

“Of course not. Cheng Feng wouldn’t accept his son liking a man, so even if you take a step back, even if Cheng Yu hangs out with whichever guy any way he wants, if he brings a man home with him, Cheng Feng would definitely not accept it.”

“You want me to piss Cheng Yu’s father off?”

“It depends.” Jiang Xu smiled a little, “But you could also do more than just simply pissing him off.”

Lin An Lan looked at his face and suddenly remembered what he had said earlier, ‘Although you’re with Cheng Yu now, it’s just for show’, and couldn’t help but turn a little pale and now on the alert, he looked at the person in front of him warily and cautiously.

“Jiang Xu, do you know something?”

Jiang Xu was puzzled, “What do you mean?”

“Nothing, I’m just curious, but you telling me this now, aren’t you acting a bit too rash?”

“I just don’t want you to stay by Cheng Yu’s side all the time. I want you to end this quickly and come back to me.”

Lin An Lan nodded, “So what you’re saying is, I’m with Cheng Yu for show; I don’t like him and my motive is just to piss his father off?”

Jiang Xu responded, “Pretty much, but you’re doing it mostly for me. Xiao Lan, I acknowledge what you’re doing for me — in this world, you’re the only one who treats me the best.”

Lin An Lan smiled slowly.

He said, “Alright, I understand.”

“I’ve been busy lately, and you’re on my blacklist so it’s better if you don’t call me and don’t call Zhuo Siya either. As for text messages, maybe I’ll reply or won’t, but you shouldn’t send too many otherwise Cheng Yu will see it and it wouldn’t do any good, right?”

Jiang Xu nodded, “Hmm.”

“Then I’ll leave first.”

“Ok, you can call me anytime if something comes up.”

Lin An Lan nodded but before getting out of the car, he warned him again, “Don’t come to visit the set in the future, go about your own business.”

Jiang Xu responded in the affirmative, thinking he was concerned about him, “Got it.”

Satisfied, Lin An Lan got out of the car, walking back to the set.

He felt that Jiang Xu had probably guessed from someone, or from him that he had lost his memory, that was why he couldn’t wait to make up such a lie, wanting to break he and Cheng Yu up.

After all, if he had lost his memory, there was no way to prove that he was telling a lie, moreover if Cheng Yu heard such a thing, he would inevitably imagine things.

It was just too bad– if it had been someone else, they would have probably believed such nonsense because a person who had lost his memories was most likely to have his memories tampered with by others.

Especially by the people around him.

Jiang Xu was his best friend, and people always trusted their friends.

But not Lin An Lan.

He only believed in himself.

He didn’t believe that he was a scumbag who deceived and played with people’s feelings before he lost his memory. He had lost his memory, but that didn’t mean he was a different person, he believed that the person he had been before he lost his memory was at the very least a person of good character.

What’s more, Cheng Yu was one of the only memories he had left.

There was no reason for him to trust someone else instead of trusting himself, especially if the other person didn’t like Cheng Yu and was h*ll bent on breaking them up.

Lin An Lan thought Jiang Xu was quite clever, unexpectedly able to come up with such a lie, unfortunately the person ge was trying to lie to was him who wouldn’t fall for or care about such a petty trick.

“Before I lost my memory, was I the kind of scumbag who played with other people’s feelings?” Lin An Lan asked the assistant beside him.

Yang Wang shook his head hurriedly, “How is that possible? Lin Ge, you were never like that. There have even been actresses in the entertainment circle who have confessed to you but you would simply reject them, not even saying a word to them.”

Lin An Lan thought in his heart, right, this was his style. To deliberately deceive Cheng Yu, to play games with him, what’s more because of Jiang Xu, was he Jiang Xu’s long-lost father?

Even if he was he wouldn’t play with someone else’s feelings for the sake of this cheap son!

He would only break Jiang Xu’s dog legs so that he would never dare to have such immoral thoughts again.

Tsk, how did this give him such a Jack-Su persona?

Lin An Lan thought to himself– Jiang Xu really dared to think of anything. With that brain of his, it was a pity that he wasn’t a scriptwriter.
