“Yu Lan is real, hooray for double candy!”

“And you’re practicing these set of questions?” Jing Huan was surprised.
Gu Shuyu smiled, “It’s this year’s college entrance exam paper, the teacher asked us try it out, so I’m giving it a try.”
Jing Huan looked at the test paper which had almost all the answers filled and said softly, “Then you must have done well.”
“Not bad.” Gu Shuyu said modestly, “What about you? It’s your turn to answer me.”
“Seventeen.” Jing Huan replied as he thought of the question he had just asked him.
Gu Shuyu wasn’t surprised, “You dropped out of school?”
“My grades weren’t good and my family’s condition wasn’t good, something like going to school isn’t that necessary for me.” He lowered his head, his eyes dropping gently as his tone carried an unconscious self-deprecation in it.
Gu Shuyu looked at him and didn’t say anything.
He picked up a cut apple from the table and handed it to Jing Huan who thanked him then walked to the side to stop bothering him.
He sat down on another chair, took out his phone and started playing with it.
Gu Shuyu didn’t pay attention until he finished his water and when Jing Huan put his phone down to pour another glass for him, he inadvertently glanced at the contents of Jing Huan’s phone and saw that it was an electronic version of a car repair guide. Gu Shuyu thought to himself, so this is what he does.
As it was late in the night, Gu Shuyu stayed Jing Huan’s mother’s ward.
There was a cot in the adjoining room so when Jing Huan saw that he was staying, he gave him the bed.
“Aren’t you coming to bed?”
“I’d rather sleep on the table.”
