Chapter 228.2

“I should go instead.” Cheng Feng looked at his gentle wife. “I’m afraid Dad will lose his temper. He’s rather traditional in his thinking, so he’ll definitely get angry.”

“Sigh, it would be so much better if An An were a girl.” Cheng Feng sighed. “If he were a girl, everyone would be happy, and your grandfather would definitely have no problem with it.”

“If he were a girl, he never would have entered our family in the first place, okay?” Cheng Yu reminded him. “I wanted a little brother back then, not a little sister.”

“So you knew you wanted a little brother.” Cheng Feng looked at him. “I thought you wanted a child bride!”

Cheng Yu: …

Cheng Feng snorted. “Really impressive, fooling us into raising your wife from childhood.”

Cheng Yu replied righteously, “That’s still better than some scumbags who don’t even care about their own wives.”

Cheng Feng: …

“I’ve said many times that those were mistakes I made when I was young. Who doesn’t make mistakes in their lifetime? Being able to recognize and correct mistakes is also a virtue.”

Cheng Yu: “Is that so? I don’t think that’s necessarily true.”

Cheng Feng was speechless.

Yu Hanshuang raised her hand to interrupt their bickering. “Alright, let’s leave it at that. In a few days, your father and I will talk to your grandfather. Don’t go yourself, in case you end up arguing and make your grandfather angry. That wouldn’t be good.”

“Fine. But there’s one more thing.” Cheng Yu said.

“What?”

“After An An’s birthday, I want to register our marriage with him.” Cheng Yu smiled. “Is that okay?”

“You really can’t wait.” Cheng Feng complained. “You want to register as soon as you reach marriage age.”

“Isn’t this normal? I like him, and he likes me. Getting married early is good for everyone.”

“Fine.” Yu Hanshuang had no objections. “Then I need to talk to your grandfather soon.”

“Are you sure you don’t want me to go?” Cheng Yu asked her.

“No need.” Yu Hanshuang smiled. “Mom has her ways. Don’t worry.”

Cheng Yu wasn’t entirely reassured, but since Yu Hanshuang had said so, he could only agree.

After finishing their conversation, and calculating that Lin An Lan should have finished his shower, he prepared to return.

Cheng Feng couldn’t wait to send him away.

However Cheng Yu asked him, “Aren’t you leaving?”

“Don’t I need to discuss with your mother how to talk to your grandfather?”

Cheng Yu thought about it and realized that made sense, so he let him stay in Yu Hanshuang’s room and left.

As soon as he opened the door, he saw Lin An Lan leaning against the wall. Seeing him come out, he immediately stood up straight.

Cheng Yu was surprised. Closing the door, he walked over, and asked, “Why are you here?”

“After I finished showering and came out, I saw you weren’t there. I guessed you must be talking with your parents. There was no one in the study, so it could only be here.”

After speaking, he asked somewhat anxiously, “What did your parents say?”

Cheng Yu smiled and pulled him into his arms. “Didn’t I tell you? Don’t worry. My parents like you so much – they naturally agreed.”

“Really?” Lin An Lan was overjoyed.

“Of course it’s true.” Cheng Yu smiled and pinched his face. “I told them we’d register after your birthday, and they agreed to that too.”

Lin An Lan’s anxious heart finally settled, and he hugged him excitedly.

Cheng Yu hugged his waist and smiled. “Now you can relax, right? I told you there wouldn’t be any problems. You should trust me.”

Lin An Lan buried his face in Cheng Yu’s shoulder, smiling and nodding, hugging him even tighter as he could barely contain his joy.

Cheng Feng pushed the door open and came out to see exactly this scene.

Lin An Lan noticed him and immediately let go, rarely showing shyness as he pushed Cheng Yu to make him turn around.

Seeing how quickly he had been kicked out, Cheng Yu mocked, “Wow, you came out pretty fast.”

Cheng Feng: …

Cheng Feng felt like beating up the lovebirds right then! What kind of trash son was this?!

“An An, you want to be with Xiao Yu, right?” He looked at Lin An Lan gently.

Lin An Lan nodded and said quietly, “I’m sorry.”

“It’s fine.” Cheng Feng said calmly. “Dad doesn’t object to you being together. Dad just hopes you can help Dad with one thing.”

“What?” Lin An Lan said quickly, “I’ll definitely do it.”

Cheng Feng smiled slightly. “Help me control Xiao Yu’s mouth, so he won’t be so disrespectful.”

He had been annoyed with his son for a long time! Did only he have a mouth in the whole world?!

Just as Cheng Yu was about to open his mouth to retort, Lin An Lan instinctively covered his mouth. “Alright.”

Cheng Feng watched Cheng Yu’s shocked expression and immediately felt better. Perfect, he liked this very much.

Sure enough, he still had to rely on his little darling.

“Well done. You can get married, but you’re in charge.”

“Oh.” Lin An Lan responded.

Only then did Cheng Feng walk forward with pride and his head held high.

Watching him leave, Lin An Lan lowered his hand.

Cheng Yu looked aggrieved. “Why are you helping him?”

Lin An Lan kissed his lips placatingly. “Don’t be silly. You can argue with him when I’m not around. This was just a strategic move.”

Only then was Cheng Yu satisfied. He kissed Lin An Lan’s face. “But he did say one thing right.”

“What?”

“That you should be in charge.” Cheng Yu smiled. “When we get married, you’ll manage everything at home. You’ll be in charge.”

Hearing this, Lin An Lan couldn’t help but smile too, looking at him with affectionate eyes.

Cheng Yu felt his heart itch from that gaze and scooped him up in his arms. “Come on, back to the room. It’s late, and we should do some things that couples should do.”

Lin An Lan silently buried his head in Cheng Yu’s chest, smiling as he held him tightly.
