Chapter 208.2

Cheng Xiao called Cheng Feng to tell him that Yu Hanshuang had come home and ordered him to come back that night. “You’ve been sulking with Xiao Shuang long enough! This whole mess was your fault, yet you’re the one throwing a tantrum?! Xiao Shuang has done more than enough for you. She’s spent years taking care of Xiao Yu, supports your decisions at work, and even now, she hasn’t told the Yu family about the crap you’ve pulled. She’s done right by you, so pull yourself together! Get back here right now!”
As soon as Cheng Feng heard that Yu Hanshuang was back, he rushed home without delay.
So when Yu Hanshuang came downstairs, the first thing she saw was Cheng Feng, who had just arrived home.
Their eyes met, but Yu Hanshuang was the first to look away.
Cheng Feng wanted to say something, but with the children around, he held back.
Cheng Yu, on the other hand, shot Cheng Feng a fierce glare and made sure to sit right next to Yu Hanshuang at the dinner table.
Cheng Xiao saw that, for once, the whole family was gathered at the dinner table, so he spoke up. “We’re all family. The kids are still young. Even if you two don’t care about each other anymore, at least for their sake, stop making things so ugly.”
Yu Hanshuang nodded. “I understand.”
“Mhm.” Cheng Feng responded. “I won’t do this anymore.”
Cheng Xiao poured a glass of wine for both Yu Hanshuang and Cheng Feng, then poured some juice for Cheng Yu and Lin An Lan. “Alright, let’s eat. Dinner is actually pretty good today.”
Lin An Lan sipped his drink, thinking it tasted pretty good today.
Cheng Yu kept glancing between his mom and dad. He noticed that Cheng Feng picked up some food for Yu Hanshuang, but she didn’t eat it.
Sure enough, Mom was still mad at Dad. He felt a little disappointed. Although he said he didn’t want Dad, he was still a kid at the end of the day, so of course, he hoped his parents could get along. Now that he realized they were still upset with each other, he couldn’t help but feel uneasy.
What exactly did Dad do to make Mom this mad?
He didn’t have any idea, so he sulked as he ate but still didn’t forget to pick up food for Lin An Lan.
After dinner, Cheng Feng called out to Yu Hanshuang before she could go back to her room.
Yu Hanshuang told Cheng Yu and Lin An Lan to go ahead to their room first. She would come find them later.
Cheng Yu had no choice but to pull Lin An Lan along. But he really wanted to eavesdrop again, so he tried to persuade him. “An An, don’t you want to know why Mom and Dad are fighting?”
Lin An Lan, already knowing the truth, was very alert. “I don’t want to.”
“But I want know! Just let me listen for a bit, okay?”
“No.” Lin An Lan held onto his hand tightly. “You haven’t even finished telling me what the teacher taught today.”
“I’ll tell you when I get back.”
Lin An Lan shook his head. “Right now. Right now.”
And as he said this, he dragged Cheng Yu back. Cheng Yu was helpless. “How do you have no curiosity at all?”
“I don’t need curiosity.” Lin An Lan’s voice was soft and sweet. “I just want big brother to be happy.”
“But big brother is already unhappy.” Cheng Yu poked his cheek. “If you don’t let me go, I’ll be even sadder.”
Lin An Lan held out his hand in a very natural manner. “Then you can squeeze it.”
Cheng Yu: …
He looked up helplessly, then looked at him angrily. “Who wants to squeeze a hand?!”
After saying this, he pinched his face, then pinched it again, and again, until Lin An Lan’s face turned red from all the pinching. Only then did he finally stop.
Lin An Lan just let him do it, staying obedient as his fair little face quickly turned pink, like flower petals on snow.
Cheng Yu looked at his reddened face and suddenly felt a little guilty, so he quickly rubbed it for him.
“Does it hurt?” He asked, feeling a little guilty.
Smiling at him, Lin An Lan shook his head, his eyes curving into crescent moons.
He knew very well that Cheng Yu liked him, which was why he liked to pinch his face or hold his hand. He never used much force, just a soft touch, so Lin An Lan didn’t mind.
“Big brother, you’re not sad anymore, right?” He asked gently.
Cheng Yu saw that even though his face had been pinched red, he was still smiling and worrying about whether he was sad. His heart practically melted.
He pulled Lin An Lan into a hug and kissed the spot he had just pinched several times. “How are you so good?”
Lin An Lan smiled sweetly. “I just want big brother to be happy.”
Hearing this, Cheng Yu laughed too. “Now I’m really happy.”
He rubbed his forehead against Lin An Lan’s. “So cute, An An, you’re so cute. I really like you.”
“I like big brother too.” Lin An Lan said with a smile.
Cheng Yu couldn’t help himself. He kissed his face again, then hugged him tightly.
Cheng Feng looked at Yu Hanshuang, coughed lightly, and hesitated. “You… you’ve forgiven me?”
Yu Hanshuang’s expression was cold. “You’re overthinking it.”
She stepped forward. “I didn’t come back because I forgave you or missed you. Xiao Yu is still young. If I don’t come back, he’ll think I don’t want him anymore.”
