Chapter 179.2

Editor: Jodi

The table was filled with pastries, fruits, and drinks for everyone to enjoy while chatting.

By now, everyone was familiar with each other, unlike the awkwardness of the first day, so they laughed, talked, and played games, creating a lively scene.

Then the program team, having captured enough footage, began interviewing the guests one after the other about their first date experience.

Although Lin An Lan and Cheng Yu were a real couple, they also had to do the interview separately, and so went into different rooms.

“How did it feel spending the past two days with your boyfriend?” The hostess asked.

“It was great.” Lin An Lan replied. “I am very happy.”

“Are you satisfied with his performance over the past two days?”

“Of course I am.”

“Then which moment with him in the past two days touched you the most or left the deepest impression?”

“Every moment touched me and every moment was very memorable.” Lin An Lan said. “We’ve been together for so long, however each day actually feels new to me, and I cherish it.”

Hearing this, the hostess felt that his emotions were really sincere.

“Then what do you think Teacher Cheng Yu’s strengths and weaknesses are?”

“He has many strengths.” Lin An Lan laughed. “He’s gentle, considerate, funny, very responsible, and determined. And of course, he’s also very handsome.”

“Teacher Lin, you’re also very handsome.” The hostess told him.

“I think he’s even more handsome.” Lin An Lan said in reply. “He’s been handsome since high school.”

“It seems you still remember his high school days well. Then, did you have a crush on him back then?”

“If I hadn’t been so focused on studying, I might have. But at that time, all I thought about was the university entrance exam, so I didn’t get close to him. But I remember how he looked in high school. He was very attractive, and I liked it a lot.”

“I’m sure Teacher Cheng will be very happy when he hear this.”

Lin An Lan thought so too.

He looked at the hostess. Last time he had been interviewed together with Cheng Yu, but now he was alone, and though it felt a bit lonely, it also allowed him to say things he hadn’t been able to before.

“I remember him at every stage—high school, university, and when he started acting. Some people are remarkable, so much so that even if you don’t like them, don’t pay much attention, or don’t know you’ll be with them later, you’ll still remember them, even if it was just a passing moment.”

“He’s always been outstanding, excellent and impressive, so I remember him at every stage. But I also regret it. If I had known that we would be together, I wouldn’t have wasted so much time. I would’ve paid more attention to him and been with him earlier.”

“But maybe you had to go through those times to be together now.” The hostess voiced her opinion. “At this stage, you’re capable and brave, the best and most mature versions of yourselves. That’s why you found each other now and are together——because this is perhaps the most suitable time.”

“After all, early love often fades before it grows.”

Lin An Lan nodded. “You’re right.”

Then he added, “If I wasn’t in a relationship myself, I would have agreed with you, but now that I am, I wish we had been together from the start. Then I could’ve experienced more with him and given him more of what he wanted.”

“I missed a lot of his time and gave him less of what he wanted. Before falling in love, you think starting now is enough. But after falling in love, you wish you’d been there from the beginning to share all his experiences.”

“If possible, I think most lovers would want to have known each other early, preferably from childhood, so they could grow, experience and share together, not missing their happy or sad moments. At least, that’s how I feel.”

He spoke calmly, with a slight smile, looking gentle and charming.

And as the hostess listened, she was very touched. If she were Cheng Yu, she would definitely be very happy to have such a lover.

Because just like now, even as an outsider, she was moved by Lin An Lan’s words.

“What you just said makes a lot of sense.” She concluded.

“One last question though: if ten is a perfect score, how would you rate Cheng Yu as a boyfriend?”

“One hundred!” Lin An Lan laughed. “Ten is too little. He deserves at least one hundred. He’s definitely the best boyfriend in the world.”

“There’s nothing that needs to be corrected?”

“Nothing.”

“No flaws?”

“Not in my eyes.”

The hostess felt helpless. “Alright, it seems Teacher Lin really likes Teacher Cheng. I hope you both stay happy and grow old together.”

“We will.” Lin An Lan replied.

Meanwhile, Cheng Yu was having a similar interview.

“How did it feel spending the past two days with your boyfriend?”

“It was wonderful.” Cheng Yu replied. “I wish we could be together every day.”

“Then which moment with him in the past two days touched you the most or left the deepest impression?”

“All of them. I remember everything he does.”

“What do you think Teacher Lin’s strengths and weaknesses are?”

“He has so many strengths: he’s a good student, loyal, values affection, is soft-hearted, and very caring. Most importantly, he accepts me.”

“You’re also excellent, so it’s natural for Teacher Lin to accept you.”

Cheng Yu shook his head. “That’s because you don’t know how many people like him. There have been and are an endless stream of people who have liked him since high school. I’m just one of them, but I’m the luckiest.”

Only he had clearly deceived Lin An Lan and still received his forgiveness and was still with him.

This kind of honor, Cheng Yu felt, was something he would remember for the rest of his life.

No one else could deceive Lin An Lan and walk away unscathed. He was the only exception!

And hearing him say this, the host thought to himself that he must really like Lin An Lan.

“Do you think Teacher Lin has any flaws or areas for improvement?”

“Of course not. He’s perfect to me.”

“Then if ten is a perfect score, how would you rate Teacher Lin as a boyfriend?”

“Full marks! Plus ninety bonus points, so one hundred!”

“There are even bonus points?”

Cheng Yu nodded. “I like him a little bit more every day we’re together. I knew he was great and liked him a lot before, but now, I feel like I love him more every day. No matter what he does, I feel happy and satisfied just looking at him. That’s why I’m giving him bonus points, because ten is too little. If you had asked me this nine years ago when we were just classmates, I’d have said ten. But after nine years, it’s naturally ninety bonus points, so one hundred sounds about right.”

The host: ….This is definitely true love.

“I’m sure Teacher Lin will be pleasantly surprised when he sees this part.”

“Then you guys have to remember to not cut this part out.” Cheng Yu laughed.

“Teacher Cheng, don’t worry. We will definitely broadcast it in its entirety.”

“That’s good then, thank you.”

Cheng Yu’s interview finished quickly, and after he was done with it, he waited outside Lin An Lan’s interview room.

However it wasn’t long before he heard Lin An Lan’s ‘One hundred’. He couldn’t help but smile as he thought to himself that they were really in sync. They both gave each other one hundred.

Then he heard the hostess ask, “There’s nothing that needs to be corrected?”

“Nothing.”

“No flaws?”

“Not in my eyes.”

He couldn’t help but lean against the wall, the corners of his lips curving into a smile slowly.

How wonderful. The person he liked also liked him, what’s more he also said he was perfect, with no flaws in his eyes.

Cheng Yu felt that he was really very happy!
