Chapter 179.1

Editor: Jodi

The lunch at the park was mostly fast food, so the four of them ordered quite a lot of things, then after they were done eating, they went out to play again.

They continued playing until five o’clock when the creative director reminded them that it was time to head back, then they got in the car and rushed back.

Tonight’s itinerary included a group dinner, and to create a cozy atmosphere, the program team chose a Western restaurant and set up five tables for a candlelight dinner, which of course required the guests to attend in formal attire.

Lin An Lan and Cheng Yu had already prepared their clothes, hence after returning, they changed into suits, styled their hair and applied a bit of light makeup before heading to the restaurant.

And as they had arrived first, they got to choose their seats, so Lin An Lan unhesitatingly picked a window seat and sat down.

And sitting on the sofa and looking at the candlelight and roses in front of them, they unexpectedly had the feeling that they really were on a date.

Lin An Lan fiddled with the single rose in the vase— it looked somewhat lonely.

He remembered how Cheng Yu had surprised him with ninety-nine roses on Valentine’s Day this year, which had shocked him at the time.

“Why so many?” He had asked.

“For a long-lasting relationship.” Cheng Yu had replied with a smile. “Actually, I wanted to buy 1,314 roses.”

Lin An Lan: …. That’s really not necessary!

Ninety-nine roses were already difficult to hold. Looking at the beautiful flowers in front of him, Lin An Lan eventually placed them on the coffee table.

However Cheng Yu, being more playful, divided 21 roses into a vase, then scattered half of the remaining 78 in the bathtub and the other half on the bed.

That night, rose petals clung to Lin An Lan’s body, and his nose was filled with the scent of roses.

Then Cheng Yu, without restraint, tossed him around for most of the night. So much so that even after he fell asleep, he could still smell the scent of the roses faintly.

Thinking about this, Lin An Lan felt a bit shy. He withdrew his hand and turned to look at the scenery outside.

However he hadn’t looked for long when he heard the sound of high heels. Then Zhou Bingqing, wearing a cocktail dress, walked in with her variety show boyfriend.

Then gradually, others arrived, and the evening’s recording officially began.

As the violin music started, the waiter asked what they would like to order politely. Lin An Lan and Cheng Yu ordered steaks and a bottle of red wine.

They sipped their wine, and Lin An Lan, listening to the music and looking at the person in front of him, felt that the ambiance was quite pleasant.

Sitting opposite each other, they enjoyed the rare peace and relaxation, not needing to think too much, just feeling their emotions.

He smiled at Cheng Yu, who stood up and run the curve of his finger over the bridge of his nose gently, “Stop seducing me.”

“I’m just looking at you.”

“But your eyes are clearly asking me to kiss you.”

“They’re not.” Lin An Lan denied then turned his head. However not long after, he glanced back silently, “So, will you kiss me?”

Chuckling, Cheng Yu walked over and bending down, kissed the side of his face. “Of course.”

Lin An Lan held his hand, made him sit beside him, then leaned against him slightly.

They stayed that way until the steaks arrived, then Cheng Yu returned to his seat.

And having played all day, they were hungry, so after clinking glasses, they began eating their steaks.

They ate leisurely and, after finishing, ordered a soup to sip slowly.

The gathering had two parts: a private date for the couples and then a group dinner.

So when the time was right, the program team reminded everyone to change tables for the group dinner.

However before that, they had arranged a couples’ showcase segment.

This segment involved dancing. They didn’t need to dance for long, just a simple dance for the transition.

Lin An Lan and Cheng Yu had practiced at home, having decided with rock-paper-scissors that the loser would take the female steps. Lin An Lan lost, so he had to learn the female steps.

Luckily, he had learned to dance for a movie before. Which meant that although he had learned the male steps then, he had a foundation and had seen his female partners dance, hence it didn’t take long for him to learn it.

So now, when they heard the creative director indicate for everyone to move to the dance floor, they stood up and walked forward together.

And as they were the only same-sex couple on the scene and the most famous, they naturally stood in the center.

Sun Qianqian watched them, with more interest in their dance than in her own.

Her eyes sparkled, as did those of the other girls.

However neither Lin An Lan nor Cheng Yu was shy, because as soon as the music started, they moved, with one arm around the other’s shoulder, dancing slowly.

The music was gentle, and Lin An Lan and Cheng Yu danced tenderly, and as they looked into each other’s eyes, they saw themselves reflected there.

Although small, each occupied the entirety of the other’s gaze.

Cheng Yu smiled slightly, and wrapping his arms around his waist, spun him around.

Then when the song ended, he hugged him.

The staff applauded the guests and in the midst of the excitement, led them to a long rectangular table.
