Chapter 176.2

Editor: Jodi

The next morning, Lin An Lan was woken up by Cheng Yu, and as he was still dazed, he thought there were still at home and so he leaned against Cheng Yu’s shoulder, his voice soft, “Let me sleep a bit more.”

Cheng Yu looked at him with amusement, then scratched his face gently as if he were teasing a cat, “You just said the same thing.”

Lin An Lan ignored him, hugged his waist, and buried his head in his chest, continuing to sleep.

Cheng Yu, not knowing whether to laugh or cry, could only coax him gently, “We still have to film the show today, remember?”

Lin An Lan mumbled, “Hmm.”

Seeing this, Cheng Yu kissed his ear lovingly, “How about I go make you breakfast? You can sleep a bit more, and I’ll wake you up when it’s ready.”

“No.” Lin An Lan held him tighter, humming softly like a spoiled child, “Stay with me.”

And seeing how drowsy he was, Cheng Yu feeling helpless, but also unable to do anything, could only lay back down with him for a while longer.

He was always gentle and patient with Lin An Lan, and thus very indulgent, so even though he knew they would be pressed for time if they didn’t get up soon, he couldn’t bring himself to wake him up harshly.

Fortunately, Lin An Lan still had some awareness and remembered their filming schedule.

Because after lying in bed for another five minutes, he opened his eyes reluctantly, but looked grumpy from not having had enough sleep.

Cheng Yu cupped his face, rubbing it gently, “We’ll come back early today and rest early.”

Lin An Lan nodded, but the resentment of waking up early was still there.

Cheng Yu smiled, hooked his arm around his neck, kissed his lips and face softly, and said, “Be good.”

Lin An Lan, feeling a bit aggrieved, hugged him and rubbed against his face, which made him feel better.

Then he sat up slowly, but just as he did, there was a knock on the door.

Lin An Lan: !!!

“Why are they here so early?” He asked in shock.

“It’s not early,” Cheng Yu chuckled, “I’ve already called you twice.”

Then he got out of bed and said to Lin An Lan, “Go wash up. I’ll go open the door for them.”

Lin An Lan nodded helplessly, then got out of bed slowly.

Cheng Yu opened the door and the cameraman walked in, and seeing him still in his pajamas, asked, “Did Teacher Cheng just wake up?”

Cheng Yu nodded, “I’m going to wash up now.”

The apartment had a three-bedroom, two-bathroom design, so Lin An Lan went to the master bedroom’s bathroom, while Cheng Yu took his things to the other bathroom.

The cameraman followed him hurriedly m, wanting to film his bare face.

And Cheng Yu, being very open, allowed the filming and even winked at the camera while continuing to brush his teeth with a smile.

After washing up and changing clothes, Lin An Lan turned on the camera and walked out of the bedroom.

He toasted the bread prepared by the production team, opened a carton of milk, then waited for Cheng Yu in order to finish breakfast together before leaving.

**

Today was the first official date day, and the production team had already chosen the dating spots for them—an amusement park, a cinema, and a coffee shop.

“However, each place can only accommodate two couples at most, so to be fair, let’s play a game to decide the order of choosing the date spot,” The director announced.

“What game?” Lin An Lan asked curiously.

The director smiled at them, “It’s a game often played by couples, charades.”

Lin An Lan nodded. He hadn’t played this before.

The director had the staff bring out the boards with words, then because Lin An Lan and Cheng Yu were standing at the front, they were chosen as the first couple to guess the words.

Lin An Lan looked at Cheng Yu eagerly and asked, “Do you want to guess, or should I?”

“You guess,” Cheng Yu said.

“Alright.” Lin An Lan walked to the opposite side quickly.

The others watched them, whispering, “I wonder if the words are difficult.”

Cheng Yu looked at the board and saw that it read: ‘Impressive display of manpower.’

He looked at Lin An Lan, “Four words, the first and third are numbers. After hundreds, the last word is this.”1The ‘Impressive display of manpower’ is ‘千军万马‘ in Chinese, and the first character, ‘千’ – means thousand, and‘万‘ – means ten hundred

He mimicked riding a horse and said, “Neigh.”

“Horse?”

“Yes.”

“Impressive display of manpower.”

“Correct.”

The staff quickly changed the word. Cheng Yu looked at it and said, “Four words, the third word describes a direction, the first word is a color, red, orange, yellow, green, blue…?”

“Purple? Purple air comes from the east?”

“Correct.”

The staff changed the word again quickly.

Zhang Qihan couldn’t help but say to Jiao Wenxiu, “They’re so in sync and cooperate very well. Just once and Lin Ge is able to guess it right away.”

Jiao Wenxiu had originally had a favorable impression of Cheng Yu, but after being disliked by both him and Lin An Lan yesterday, it had all turned to malice, so although he didn’t show it on the surface, he was inwardly sarcastic, thinking to himself, ‘of course the words are easy. Anyone could guess them’.

“Single-celled organism,” Cheng Yu said.

“Paramecium?” Lin An Lan guessed.

Cheng Yu nodded, and Sun Qianqian who was standing next to Zhang Qihan was stunned, then she whispered, “How did he guess that? I wouldn’t have known.”

“It’s probably because they’re just very in sync,”

“And also because they are top students right?” Sun Qianqian added, “I forgot, but I obviously also learned this in school.”

That’s right, Zhang Qihan said to herself silently, she hadn’t realized it either.

Cheng Yu and Lin An Lan were very in sync. In the end, Cheng Yu smiled and said, “Three words.”

Then he raised his hand, made a heart shape over his head, and tilted his head slightly. Sun Qianqian grabbed Zhang Qihan’s arm excitedly as she whispered, “So cute, so cute, Cheng Ge is so adorable. This part must be kept; I want to make it into an emoji!”

Zhang Qihan nodded. It was indeed cute.

Nie Jia, standing next to Sun Qianqian, looked up helplessly, thinking to himself that anyone who didn’t know would think Cheng Yu was her boyfriend, not him who was her temporary variety show boyfriend.

So Nie Jia, showing a great sense of variety show spirit, said, “Your boyfriend is standing right here, but you’re praising someone else for being cute.”

Sun Qianqian cooperated quickly, leaning closer to him, “I’m sorry, I won’t say it anymore.”

Nie Jia nodded, “That’s more like it.”

Meanwhile, Lin An Lan who had already guessed it smiled, “I love you.”

Cheng Yu also smiled, “I love you too.”
