Chapter 127.1 Neglect and stupid idiot
Editor: Jodi
Manbao City was a very ordinary city on Z Star Planet, not far from Wamu City, just a two-hour drive away, and this was where Yan Hao was born.
Before dinner, the four of them returned to their home in Manbao City, and as soon as they entered the house, Yan Hao went straight upstairs to his room and then closed the door.
Seeing him like this, Lu Si Ying’s brows furrowed but she didn’t say anything. She just asked Yan Fei to take Sima Ming Xuan to the guest room to see if they needed anything then went to the kitchen with the household robot to prepare dinner. She had started the preparations earlier on the way back, so it was almost ready now, hence she just added two dishes that Yan Fei liked, and in less than half an hour, a table full of delicious food was ready.
“Xiao Fei, call Ming Xuan down for dinner.” Lu Si Ying stood at the stairs and shouted, then Yan Fei and Sima Ming Xuan, hearing her voice, came downstairs together.
“Mom, let me help you.” Yan Fei saw Lu Si Ying carrying the dishes and quickly ran over, reaching out to take the plate from her.
“There’s no need for you to help, just sit and eat. The robot will bring it over in a moment.” However although she said this, she was still extremely pleased to see her son being so thoughtful.
“What about Yan Hao?” Looking around, Sima Ming Xuan didn’t see Yan Hao.
“He’s still in his room.” Lu Si Ying replied.
“I’ll go and call him.” With that, Sima Ming Xuan turned and headed upstairs. He had observed where Yan Hao’s room was when Yan Hao went upstairs earlier.
Walking up to the door of Yan Hao’s room, he knocked twice lightly.
The door opened and Yan Hao was somewhat surprised to see Sima Ming Xuan standing outside.
“Auntie is calling you for dinner.” Sima Ming Xuan told him.
“It’s that she’s calling the two of you, right?”
Sima Ming Xuan froze for a moment then was just about to say something when Lu Si Ying’s voice came from downstairs, “Yan Hao, come down and eat.”
Sima Ming Xuan immediately had an expression that said, ‘See, I didn’t lie to you.’
“I’ll wash my hands, you go ahead.” Yan Hao told him.
“No problem, I’ll wait for you.” Saying this, Sima Ming Xuan’s gaze seemed to wander toward Yan Hao’s room.
Yan Hao frowned, and no longer concerned about being polite, slammed the door shut in his face.
The smile on Sima Mingxuan’s face twisted for a moment, but he quickly regained his composure as he took a deep breath then turned to go downstairs.
A moment later, Yan Hao came down from upstairs. Yan Fei and the others had already started eating, so he went straight to an empty seat and picked up his bowl and chopsticks, ready for a quick meal.
“Do you need a guest to come and call you to eat? And what were you doing in your room for so long?” Lu Si Ying looked at him disapprovingly.
“Tidying up my room.” Yan Hao replied.
“What’s there to tidy up in your room…”
“Auntie, this dish tastes great.” Sima Ming Xuan interrupted Lu Si Ying’s scolding. He had come this time to get Yan Hao’s help to configure the medicinal bath, however although Yan Fei had assured him repeatedly that Yan Hao would definitely agree as long as Lu Si Ying asked, seeing how tense their relationship was, he was starting to have doubts.
Sima Ming Xuan’s obvious move to help Yan Hao didn’t escape Yan Fei’s notice, and it made him uncomfortable. He was obviously Sima Ming Xuan’s boyfriend, and he was obviously the pharmacist while Yan Hao’s talent in pharmacy was clearly inferior to his. Moreover he had already switched to repairing mechs, so why was Ming Xuan insisting on asking for Yan Hao’s help? Even believing strongly that the mysterious pharmacist who had helped Sheng Zhuo with his medicinal bath was Yan Hao.
“If you like it, have some more.” Lu Si Ying pushed the dish Sima Ming Xuan had just tasted over to him enthusiastically.
“Auntie, did you cook this yourself?”
“No, it was made by the household robot.”
“Household robot?” Sima Ming Xuan was surprised. “We have one at home too, but the taste of the dishes it makes is completely different from this. Is it a new model?”
“No, we’ve been using this household robot for many years.”
“Then why does the food taste so good? Has it been debugged?”
The settings for household robots’ culinary output were usually the same, hence the taste of the food they made were usually similar, so if there was any difference, then it meant someone must have debugged the internal settings.
“I’m not sure about that.” Lu Si Ying couldn’t remember. She waved to the household robot standing nearby and asked, “00965, have you been debugged by someone?”
“Yes, Mistress, on February 10th, 591 Interstellar Year 591, Little Young Master Yan Hao debugged my settings so that you and Master could enjoy delicious food.” The robot replied in a mechanical voice devoid of emotion but with a reason filled with emotion.
This reason left everyone present stunned.
Lu Si Ying didn’t expect to hear this from the robot, causing her emotions to suddenly become very complex, accompanied by a very distant memory. When was it? Was it five or six years ago? Yan Hao had learned cooking for a while, and every day after school, he would make dinner for them happily, however his culinary skills were average at best, and the taste of the dishes he made was similar to that of the household robot’s.
So it was because he had changed the household robot’s settings, that was why the dishes he made tasted the same as the robot’s?
Lu Si Ying was moved by this revelation, and seeing him eating his food quietly, a sense of guilt welled up in her. Picking up a piece of vegetable, she placed it in his bowl, “Don’t just eat rice, have some vegetables.”
The sudden warmth made Yan Hao somewhat uncomfortable, then he looked blankly at the eggplant in his plate and suddenly smiled.
This smile was bitter and self-deprecating.
If it had been in the past, he would have been overjoyed, but now, apart from feeling uncomfortable and awkward, he had no other feelings. “I don’t eat eggplant.”
Yan Hao told her, then picking the eggplant out of his bowl, placed it in an empty bowl on the side.
The atmosphere instantly turned cold.
“Mom, I love eating eggplant the most. Can you give me some?” Yan Fei, seeing Lu Si Ying’s embarrassment, offered his own bowl coquettishly.
“Of course I’ll give you some.” Lu Si Ying thought in her heart, sure enough, it was her youngest who was sweet.
Yan Fei indeed loved eggplant, or rather, it should be said that almost all the dishes on the table were his favorites.
Lu Si Ying looked at Yan Fei, who was eating the food she had given him happily, then at Yan Hao who only knew how to lower his head to eat rice and felt a burst of unhappiness in her heart. Deciding to ignore him, she engaged in conversation with Yan Fei and Sima Ming Xuan.

So cold…
Lu Si Ying only dotes on whichever son she considers the better bootlicker, no wonder Yan Fei acts like such a sycophant with her.
