Chapter 126.2 Eldest Senior Brother
Editor: Jodi
Soon, the three of them finished eating and someone came to clear the dishes and refill their tea, and noticing that Yan Hao still hadn’t returned, Sima Mingxuan couldn’t help but mention, “Why hasn’t Yan Hao returned yet?”
Lu Si Ying glanced at the empty seat beside her in surprise, as if she had just remembered Yan Hao, “He really doesn’t make people rest. Just getting some food and it’s taking him forever.”
“I’ll go and look for big brother.” Yan Fei said then made to get up.
“What are you going to look for him for? Are you afraid he’ll get lost or something? He could even find his way back home across half a planet by himself when he was eight years old, much less this spaceship that’s just this small and you’re afraid he’ll get lost?” Lu Si Ying asked.
“Little junior Yan Hao got lost when he was a child?” Sima Mingxuan asked curiously.
“Yes, mom, how come I don’t remember?” Yan Fei was also curious.
“He didn’t get lost, he was just throwing a tantrum.” Lu Si Ying told them, “When you were seven years old, I took you both to the amusement park in Walla City, and when it was time to leave, Yan Hao insisted on riding the high-altitude spaceship. At that time we had already bought tickets for the ride back home, and if we didn’t leave, we wouldn’t be able to catch the hover car, so your father refused. Who knew that he would take advantage of us being distracted and ran away on his own.”
“And you guys didn’t go back to look for him?” Sima Mingxuan asked.
“We only realized he wasn’t in the car when we got off, then your uncle bought a ticket to go back to look for him. However before your uncle reached Walla City, Yan Hao had already found his way home on his own. I asked him why he wasn’t in the car and guess what he said? He said he had wanted us to come and find him. Simply utter nonsense! He has never allowed people rest since he was a child. He’s not even one-tenth as sensible as Yan Fei.” The more Lu Si Ying spoke, the more she became angry as she remembered Yan Hao’s past behavior.
“Mom, big brother was still small back then.”
“Is being small an excuse? You’re a year younger than him, but why don’t I see you acting like that? He just likes causing trouble and has been like that since he was small. Of all the eachers and classmates at school, which one of them had anything good to say about him?”
The more Sima Mingxuan listened, the more his brows furrowed. The teachers and classmates at school didn’t like Yan Hao? But from what he knew, Yan Hao was very popular in the Mech Building Department. Were they really talking about the same person?
At this moment, Yan Hao returned, holding a few snacks and a cup of hot milk, and having returned didn’t say anything. He just sat back in his seat silently and started eating quietly.
“Why did it take you so long?” Lu Si Ying asked.
“I wanted to drink milk, but they didn’t have any outside, so the waiter had to fetch it from the kitchen, that’s why I had to wait a bit longer.” Yan Hao told her.
“I thought you were going to hide again like when you were a child then wait for me to find you.” Lu Si Ying said.
Yan Hao froze for a moment, then a not so great memory resurfaced in his mind. Smiling, he replied, “Not anymore. I know you won’t come looking for me.”
Back then, he had only wanted to play a little hide and seek, thinking that if his parents noticed that he was missing or turned around and called him, he would follow them back immediately. However all the way until they boarded the hovercar, even as the car drove away, they just held Yan Fei in the middle and never looked back at him.
Now, he wouldn’t use such childish tricks to attract his parents’ attention, nor would he feel lonely or scared about being left behind at a station.
Three days passed in the blink of an eye, and the spaceship arrived safely at Z Star Planet.
Returning to this planet after so long, Yan Hao didn’t feel much of a sense of belonging, as most of his memories of this planet had been unfriendly.
Just as the four of them left the port, a soldier in uniform walked up to them immediately. He saluted them first, then asked Lu Si Ying respectfully, “Are you Mrs. Yan?”
“I am.”
“I’m Yan Rong from the Z Star Planet Armed Escort Team. Several waves of interstellar pirates have been captured near Wamu City recently, hence the city is currently under martial law and all personnel have to stay in Wamu for one day for inspection. We’ve been ordered to guide you and your party to leave through a special channel.” The young man explained in an articulate manner.
Before they had disembarked from the spaceship, there had been a broadcast about the martial law situation in Wamu, hence they had all been prepared to find a hotel to stay for the day after disembarking. Who would have expected that someone would come to pick them up as soon as they got off?
And he was from the military. Apart from Sima Mingxuan, who else could it be?
Lu Si Ying looked at Sima Mingxuan with a pleasantly surprised expression. “Mingxuan, when did you arrange this?”
“Yes, why didn’t you tell even me?” Yan Fei was smug. This was the man he liked, so powerful and influential even outside the Sima Legion’s headquarters.
Sima Mingxuan frowned, shaking his head. “I didn’t arrange this. Who sent you here?”
Sima Mingxuan asked Yan Rong.
“I am here on the orders of Lieutenant Colonel Cong Yi to escort his little junior brother, Yan Hao, the Level 6 Mech Building Master and his mother.” Yan Rong looked at Yan Fei. “May I ask if you are Master Yan Hao?”
Of the three people present, it was only this teenager in front of him that he didn’t know the name of, and although he looked very young, the Colonel had said that his little junior brother was a teenage genius.
“….” Yan Fei.
“Hello, I’m Yan Hao.” Yan Hao, who had been following behind the three of them, came forward when he heard his name.
“It turns out you’re Master Yan Hao. I’m here on the orders of Lieutenant Colonel Cong Yi to escort you out of Wamu City.” Yan Rong’s eyes that looked at Yan Hao couldn’t help but become warm.
Sure enough, he was a teenage genius and was even more handsome than the teenager he had just seen.
“How did Eldest Senior Brother know that I was coming?” The Lieutenant Colonel Cong Yi that this soldier had just mentioned was Old Zhong Eldest Disciple. Eldest Senior Brother Cong Yi had left the Mech Research Institute a long time ago to establish his own path, hence Yan Hao hadn’t met him. However they had spoken to each other once through a video call Old Zhong had made.
“Lieutenant Colonel Cong spoke with Old Zhong yesterday and after learning about your return to Z Star Planet, checked your flight number in advance and had me wait here. The Lieutenant Colonel originally wanted to come and pick you up in person and take you out for a few days of fum, but he had some last-minute matters and couldn’t make it, so he sent me instead. Master Yan Hao, please get in the car.”
Nodding with a smile, Yan Hao bent down to sit in the car then turned to look at the three people who were still standing and asked, “Do you guys want to get in?”
Yan Fei pursed his lips, his expression complex, not moving.
Lu Si Ying had a shocked look on her face, as if she hadn’t come back to her senses yet.
It was only Sima Mingxuan, who, hearing Yan Hao’s words, chuckled and got in directly. “Then I’ll take advantage of little junior’s light.”
Although Yan Fei was unwilling, seeing that Sima Mingxuan had already taken his seat, pulled his mother in with him.
Then Yan Rong got behind the wheel of the military vehicle and, using a special route, drove the four of them out of Wamu City.

Oh, the face-slapping has already begun XD
Wow, they are more trash than I expected, is Yan Hao an accident baby or not biologically theirs or what? Seriously, what scumbag parents and so does the brother.
Yan Fei is the typical golden child who could do nothing wrong. The parents are looking at him through rose-colored lenses. Judging from the age gap between Yan Fei and Yan Hao, most likely Yan Fei was the “miracle baby” or something. But I agree, why are they even treating Yan Hao as if he didn’t exist?
It’s interesting that SM has been set up as an antagonist from the beginning, but he’s the one clearly noticing YH’s unequal treatment and is getting disturbed by it. Whereas YF was initially portrayed a clueless and self-centered but not malicious, but is now currently encouraging that kind of behavior from his parents.
