Chapter 174.1 Battle (1)

How to kill the Zerg Emperor?
Yu Xiu Yuan convened the military’s top brass, as well as all the experts in zerg research for an overnight meeting, however they weren’t able to come up with a foolproof method. When dealing with the Zerg Emperor, they had to achieve a one-hit kill.
However just as the Federation was thinking of strategies against the Zerg Emperor, the Zerg Emperor was also devising ways to counter the Federation.
“Marshal, not good, Planet H-18’s Starnet has been connected.” A soldier with a pale face rushed into the conference room to report.
Planet H-18 was one of the six planets that had been invaded and occupied by the Zerg Emperor yesterday, and usually, in order to prevent overly gruesome images from leaking and potentially causing pan-wide panic, the Federation would immediately block any planets that had been invaded by the zergs. Hence the six planets from yesterday had also been blocked.
“What’s going on? Was it Capital Star that turned it on?” Yu Xiu Yuan demanded.
“No, it’s a special military channel. Someone activated the special military channel, bypassing Capital Star’s blockade and reconnected to the main network.” The soldier explained anxiously, “Now, the scene of the zergs hunting civilians on Planet H-18 is being broadcast live across the entire network.”
“What?!” Yu Xiu Yuan’s voice rose in anger, “Then hurry up and block it.”
“But this is a military channel, and once blocked, the main military server will have to be put to sleep and then restarted, which would result in us losing internal communication for ten minutes.”
Meanwhile, the hunting scene from Planet H-18 was also relayed into the conference room. However before they could all get a clear view of the video, they were shocked by the piercing screams. Then what followed was a sight full of red, full of dismembered limbs, with the zergs stepping on humans that had nowhere to hide as if stepping on ants. Then suddenly, the camera zoomed in, giving a close-up of a zerg with a child impaled on its foreclaw. The child, looking to be about seven to eight years old and still in school uniform, had been pierced through by the zerg’s foreclaw but wasn’t yet dead as he was brought slowly to the zerg’s mouth.
What happened next, was something that everyone couldn’t imagine.
“Stop!” An irascible Lieutenant General couldn’t help but yell at the video, however the result was the zerg in the video biting off half of the child’s body in one go.
It gnawed only on the child’s upper body and then, not eating the rest, casually threw it to the ground, its foreclaw reaching out again to pierce a woman.
“Beast, bastard, damn it!!!”
“Block it, block the signal!” Yu Xiu Yuan could no longer care about the military server’s restart. These images couldn’t be broadcasted anymore.
“Yes.” The soldier bowed his head immediately, said a few quick words into the terminal of his light brain then moments later, the special military channel was blocked, with the bloody massacre live broadcast replaced with a flicker of static.
And as if they had also been blocked, everyone in the conference room turned a ghastly grey, silent.
“Marshal Yu.” The soldier who had come in to report didn’t leave immediately, as he continued to report to Yu Xiu Yuan, “There was a segment in the live broadcast just now that I think you need to see.”
Yu Xiu Yuan frowned.
“At the beginning of that broadcast, the Zerg Emperor transmitted a message.” And saying this, the soldier projected the video he had pre-recorded for everyone to see.
The footage was of a square, with a close-up of a giant shopping mall in the center of the square, and on the exterior wall of the mall was a line of large red letters that were extremely eye-catching:
[These people died, because of you.]
Sheng Heng suddenly stiffened. Although no name was mentioned or written in the message, Sheng Heng knew it was addressed to him. It was the Zerg Emperor, warning him.
And not just Sheng Heng, everyone else in the conference room understood as well, as once again, all eyes converged on him.
“It’s not your fault.” Sheng Zhuo was afraid Sheng Heng would think too much.
“I know.” Although Sheng Heng understood, his heart still felt uncomfortable.
“Marshal Yu, we can’t wait any longer, let’s use the method we discussed earlier.” Feng Ming was the first to stand up, “I’m willing to be the first to try.”
They had discussed the battle plan all night and, although they hadn’t come up with a complete plan, they had thought of a way that could indeed injure the Zerg Emperor. The Zerg Emperor’s use of mental energy was too powerful. It could directly shatter mental energies that were below the S level, causing their seas of consciousness to break, and even those with S level mental energy would experience a brief loss of consciousness. Currently, only Sheng Heng’s mental energy could barely hold up in front of the Zerg Emperor, therefore, if they wanted to be able to get close enough to the Zerg Emperor to injure it, two conditions had to be met.
First, the mental energy level had to be S level.
Second, a weapon that could injure the Zerg Emperor had to be used.
And given the combat power displayed by the Zerg Emperor, they all agreed that the weapons carried by level 10 mechs were no longer capable of harming the Zerg Emperor, a more advanced weapon was required, and the only weapons that were much more powerful and advanced than ones used by level ten mechs were star level weapons, and at present, it was Old Pang’s Tianhe One warship that met the standard.
However once Tianhe One started charging, it couldn’t change its firing direction, and with the Zerg Emperor’s reaction speed as well as its ability to create spatial wormholes, it would be difficult for Tianhe One to injure it, so to solve this problem, they could only think of one solution—human bombs.
Simply put, a mech warrior with S level mental energy would have to carry a star-level weapon, fly within a certain range of the Zerg Emperor, and then detonate. In this way, they would definitely be able to injure the Zerg Emperor, however the mech warrior responsible for this attack would also definitely be obliterated.
It was a tactic that would kill an unknown number of enemies but would also result in significant self-harm.
“General Feng, you’re a level 10 mech warrior, what’s more the Federation still needs protection. Let me carry this mission out.” A Lieutenant General with a full beard said. He was the same person who had roared out in anger just now when he saw the footage of the zerg massacre.
“Lieutenant General Lin, although you’re a very outstanding soldier, your mental energy level, isn’t up to par.” General Feng said.
