Chapter 176.1 Battle (3)
Editor: Jodi
The speed of the two mechs was too fast, as it seemed as if in just the blinking of an eye, the War God and the other mech had already reached the front of the Zerg Emperor.
[Overestimating yourself!]
The Zerg Emperor’s contempt, mixed with anger, spread with its mental energy. Almost at the same time, General Yun and General Feng Ming charged forward one after the other, then the simultaneous self-detonation of the two level-10 mech warriors that followed was more than twice as powerful as the one that had happened before, then after the sky was filled with falling mech debris, the mental shield around the Zerg Emperor finally cracked open, then Lieutenant General Lin, not missing the opportunity that had been created for him by the three Generals’ self-destruction, rushed into the crack with his black mech and exploded loudly.
Flames surged up into the sky once more. Sheng Heng could even feel the turbulence in space, however all this wasn’t what he was concerned about, as he forced himself to watch the dazzling flames, where the goal they had to achieve at all costs was located.
Had they killed the Zerg Emperor?
Everyone held their breaths, staring unblinkingly at the slowly dissipating flames in space, then….. they saw a golden colour. A golden colour that was much dimmer, but still moving.
The Zerg Emperor wasn’t dead!
Three Generals, two Lieutenant Generals and two star level weapons. This was already the strongest force the Federation had, yet the Zerg Emperor was still not dead?!
Despair and terror enveloped the entire starry sky in that moment, and even the Marshal of the Federation, Yu Xiu Yuan lost confidence.
Was the Federation really finished?
“Marshal, the Zerg Emperor is injured. Just two more, no, one more star level energy cannon would do.” Sima Ming Xuan said loudly.
“We still have energy cannons, but can we still hit it?” Yu Xiu Yuan’s tone was full of despair, seemingly already foreseeing the Federation’s dark future.
Yes, could they still hit it?
The first star level energy cannon had hit because the Zerg Emperor hadn’t been on guard, and the second had hit through the sacrificing of three level 10 mech warriors. The Federation still had star level energy cannons, but where could they find three more level 10 mech warriors?
Sima Ming Xuan’s expression also dimmed. He had gone to great lengths to get his S level mental energy, could it be that in the end, it was all just to become the Zerg Emperor’s extra food?
The despair that enveloped the entire starry sky seemed to have materialized into substance, as everything seemed to be suppressed by this despair, with time stopping.
Until…..
An azure blue streak of light sliced through the void.
Was that Sheng Heng? At this moment, all those who were familiar with Sheng Heng recognized this streak of light, and Yu Xiu Yuan, quickly snapping out of his despair, yelled into the communicator:
“Sheng Heng, what are you doing, get back here for me!”
“Marshal Yu, the Zerg Emperor has to die.” His mech was fast, however Sheng Heng’s voice was steady.
“You are now the Federation’s last hope. As long as you don’t die, the Zerg Emperor won’t enter the Divergence Stage, and with the Federation’s current military power, we can still delay for some time.”
“Marshal Yu, the Zerg Emperor has to die today, but don’t worry, even if I die, I will detonate my mental energy first. The Zerg Emperor won’t enter the Divergence Stage because of me.” Then after saying this, Sheng Heng cut off the internal channel’s connection directly.
“Sheng Heng, Sheng Heng!” Yu Xiu Yuan shouted continuously, however Sheng Heng didn’t respond anymore.
“Marshal Yu, the Zerg Emperor seems to want to escape.” At this moment, someone noticed the Zerg Emperor’s movements.
And shocked, they all looked at the video screen hurriedly— when the Zerg Emperor, who had been roaring continuously because of its injury saw Sheng Heng approaching, it stretched its claws out to tear open a wormhole in the void, and it wasn’t clear if it was because of its injury, but the wormhole it created was half its usual size, and it couldn’t even fly into it immediately.
“It’s afraid!” Sima Ming Xuan suddenly shouted.
Not just Sima Ming Xuan, many people noticed the Zerg Emperor’s fear, as its gaze constantly moved between Sheng Heng and the wormhole, seeming to calculate whether the wormhole would expand faster or whether Sheng Heng would reach it first.
Perhaps there really was hope.
Unconsciously, hope was rekindled in all of them.
However what exactly was Sheng Heng going to do, how could he kill the Zerg Emperor? In this moment, no one dared to delve too deeply into this question except for General Admiral Sheng and Sheng Zhuo. As soldiers, they wouldn’t stop Sheng Heng’s actions and would even do the same if they were in his place, however as his father and big brother, they were worried, sad, but also proud. There were too many emotions in their hearts at this moment, however there was nothing they could do. The only thing they could do was watch silently.
