Chapter 175.2 Battle (2)

[Zerg Emperor, you’re back.] This time, it was Sheng Heng who spoke first.

[You called me back. Is it that you have already decided?] The Zerg Emperor flew out of the wormhole slowly, saying in response.

[Sort of.]

[Then you agree to my terms of exchange?]

[Fight one battle.] Sheng Heng said in an arrogant manner.

[Alright.] The Zerg Emperor replied with the same arrogance.

In its eyes, Sheng Heng was far from being its opponent. The reason it had negotiated with Sheng Heng, was because although Sheng Heng’s mech was merely a prototype of a biological mech, with his powerful mental energy, if he chose to flee or detonate his mental energy, it would be somewhat troublesome for it to stop him. Sheng Heng was too important to it. He was the key to it entering the Divergence State, so it couldn’t afford any mishaps.

[I can let you choose how you die, but there’s one condition: you’re not allowed to detonate your mental energy. You should know, that it’s your mental energy that intrigued me, that’s why I allowed negotiations. If you detonate your mental energy during the fight, the terms I agreed to will be void and I will destroy the entire federation in the shortest time possible.]

Sheng Heng frowned, strong doubt surfacing in his mind. However the moment he remembered that he was currently connected to the Zerg Emperor’s mental energy, in order to avoid exposing their specially designed mech, he quickly agreed and then withdrew his mental energy.

At this moment, the Zerg Emperor had already flown out of the wormhole, then it sensed two mechs approaching it. However the humans in those mechs were too weak, so weak that the moment they entered the range field that it could use its mental energy to attack, a mere thought from it would kill them.

Thus, it didn’t pay them any mind, allowing them to approach. Its entire attention on a certain direction in the atmosphere.

This was the delicacy it had waited for for three hundred years, it couldn’t wait.

However just in that moment, a strong mental energy riot suddenly moved towards it, causing the Zerg Emperor to freeze, then it finally diverted a bit of its attention to the two mechs that were approaching it. One was red and the other black, and the one that was in the lead, was the red mech from which the mental energy riot was coming from, as they closed in rapidly.

You think you can hurt me by detonating your mental energy? You overestimate yourself.

The Zerg Emperor stayed still proudly, waiting for the red mech to come close.

And piloting the red mech was Lieutenant General Yang, who timed his approach. Before entering the Zerg Emperor’s mental energy range of attack, he had triggered a mental energy riot, then dashed forward recklessly. What’s more before setting off, the pharmacist had told him that once he took the phantom elixir and his mental energy went out of control, he would only have about two minutes of clarity, hence he had to make good use of this time to gauge the distance between him and the Zerg Emperor so as to make sure he reached it before his mech’s energy cannon exploded.

It was now. Lieutenant General Yang pressed a button firmly.

“Energy cannon charging, one minute to full charge.”

A relaxed expression appeared on Lieutenant General Yang’s face, and he even showed a small smile.

And at this moment, everyone was watching this scene as the counted down together.

60S, 50S…. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.

“Boom!!”

The Zerg Emperor swiped at the red mech casually, causing a devastating energy explosion to occur, engulfing everything in flames.

What happened? Was the Zerg Emperor dead?

Everyone asked themselves as they watched, until a wave of incomparably angry mental energy burst out from the void and shot straight to the interior of the planet. The expression on Sheng Heng’s face changed dramatically, as he shouted immediately, “The Zerg Emperor is not dead.”

And just as the Zerg Emperor roared, the black mech that was waiting in the void suddenly moved, heading straight towards the lingering flames.

This was the strategy that Lieutenant General Lin and Lieutenant General Yang had discussed before they left.

No one had fought the current Zerg Emperor before, so they didn’t know whether the energy cannon could kill it, so to be on the safe side, the two agreed to attack one after the other. If the first explosion didn’t kill it, then they would try a second one.

The fact that it had been injured by an insignificant ant made the Zerg Emperor furious. If it hadn’t reacted quickly, using its mental energy to form a barrier, it would have probably been seriously injured by now.

They actually dared to carry out a sneak attack on it, kill, kill them all.

Strong killing intent flowed through its mental energy, and the moment it did so, all the zergs nearby on the periphery, as if on command, began to fly towards Planet X-18 crazily. Then just then, another wave of a mental energy riot came from afar, nearing it quickly.

They still dared to carry out a sneak attack on it?

The Zerg Emperor flapped its wings, then flew in the direction of Planet X-18.

“The Zerg Emperor is coming.” Sheng Heng told them, and as he said this, he maneuvered his mech to fly out at full speed, turning into a streak of azure blue lightning as he entered space. He only had one thought, and that was to prevent the Zerg Emperor from nearing the planet.

“Sheng Heng, come back here.” Yu Xiu Yuan’s voice suddenly sounded through the communicator.

“Marshal, Lieutenant General Lin has activated the energy cannon, I have to make sure it hits.” This was an attack being made by a level nine master mech warrior at the cost of his life. Sheng Heng couldn’t bear to think that such an important shot would go to waste.

“Go back!” A purple mech past Sheng Heng. It was General Xiao’s level ten mech, Purple Lightning, “I’m here.”

“General Xiao?!”

Purple Lightning turned and fired a shot in Sheng Heng’s direction, who dodged subconsciously, and by the time he looked again, Purple Lightning had already flown far away.

And having being stopped, Sheng Heng’s speed slowed down somewhat, and coupled with Marshal Yu’s continuous commands for him to withdraw through the communicator, he eventually stopped in his tracks. However he didn’t fly back and instead stayed where he was, looking in the direction of the Zerg Emperor.

“The Zerg Emperor has wrapped itself in its mental energy, which proves the energy cannon can hurt it.” General Xiao’s excited voice came through the channel, “We just need to break through this mental energy shield.”

However how were they going to break the Zerg Emperor’s mental energy shield?

Just as this thought surfaced in Sheng Heng’s mind, he heard the mech alarm that General Xiao failed to mute: “Alert, pilot’s mental energy is abnormal, warning…..”

The second warning was cut off as the channel was closed abruptly, however everyone who heard the alarm realized what it meant. General Xiao had detonated his mental energy. He had blown up his mental energy, using himself as a mental energy bomb in an attempt to breach the Zerg Emperor’s mental shield.

The Zerg Emperor was flying towards Planet X-18, one, driven by fury to hunt the humans there and two, to deter the black mech that was approaching it. After all, Planet X-18 housed nearly all of humanity’s elite combat forces.

Then it saw the purple mech coming out from the atmosphere and could guess what the human inside wanted to do. But so what? A mental energy riot that was two levels lower than its own wanted to break its mental energy shield? They should just keep on dreaming.

Finally, the two strands of mental energies collided, and Sheng Heng could clearly feel the Zerg Emperor’s mental energy shield shake violently, however it was just a shake, as the shield didn’t break.

The Zerg Emperor was stopped for a split second, then sensing the mechs behind it closing in, turned and flew towards Planet X-18.

What if I blow myself up? Will it be enough to destroy the Zerg Emperor’s shield?

Just as this thought came to Sheng Heng, he saw two mechs break through the atmosphere, heading towards the Zerg Emperor, and he was extremely familiar with one of them– it was the War God.

It was the symbol of the Sheng family, of the War God Legion, and it was currently being piloted by General Yun. And alongside General Yun, was General Feng Ming.

Sheng Heng’s eyes widened in shock. What were they trying to do? Were they planning to do the same thing General Xiao had done? They were the Federation’s only three level ten mech warriors.
