Chapter 163.1 Senior, wait for me
Editor: Jodi
“What’s the situation now?” General Admiral Sheng strode into the command center.
“General Admiral.” Seeing General Admiral Sheng enter, Sheng Zhuo walked to him hurriedly, then briefed him on the current situation quickly, “Ten minutes ago, a large number of zergs suddenly appeared in various parts of the Federation, and they are all above level seven, including an increase of five cyan zergs.”
“Five? In addition to the three from yesterday, that makes them eight.” General Admiral Sheng said in shock.
The Federation had yet to complete its assessment of the combat power of the cyan zergs. Managing three was already troublesome, and now with five more, the situation had become even more severe.
“How many have appeared within our garrison?” He asked.
“Two.” Sheng Zhuo replied.
“Pass down my order.” General Admiral Sheng commanded decisively, “All level nine mechs are to deploy immediately to eliminate the cyan zergs as quickly as possible.”
“Yes!” Sheng Zhuo gave a military salute then turned to leave the command center, and being a level nine mech warrior himself, he had to join the battle.
However as he hurried to the port and was about to board the battleship, a voice called out to him.
“Big brother.” Sheng Heng, dressed in combat gear, ran over.
“Why are you here?” Sheng Zhuo asked him.
“I heard that the newly emerged cyan zergs have strong mental attacks, so I’m here to request to join the battle.” Sheng Heng told him.
Ever since Sheng Heng accidentally discovered the method of using mental energy to counter-attack level nine zergs a few years ago, his mastery of the use of mental energy had become more profound, especially against the zergs and it could be said that wherever he was present, the mental shockwaves of the zergs would always almost be rendered ineffective.
“You can’t go.” Sheng Zhuo refused without even thinking about it.
“Why not?”
“For this operation, Dad has mobilized all the level nine mechs, and after we leave, he will be the only one at the base. You have to stay here to protect him.” Sheng Zhuo told him.
“All the level nine mech warriors?” Sheng Heng hadn’t been privy to the order General Admiral Sheng had issued in the command room because of his current rank, and so hearing it now, he was shocked. It was just two cyan zergs, was it necessary to deploy all the level nine mechs? Unless the cyan zergs were stronger than they had estimated.
“Major General, the battleship is about to take off.” One of Sheng Zhuo’s guard at the entrance of the battleship urged loudly.
“I have to go now, remember, stay with Dad.” And after saying this, he turned and ran towards the battleship.
And standing still in place, Sheng Heng watched the battleship fly away before he turned and run towards the command center.
Then after requesting permission, he was allowed into the command center, and then went to stand beside General Admiral Sheng.
“Your big brother asked you to come?” Sheng Heng had always been disciplined and so had never set foot in areas where his rank didn’t permit during his years at the base, hence his sudden request to enter the command center today must have been at Sheng Zhuo’s behest.
“Big brother asked me to follow you.” Sheng Heng told him.
General Admiral Sheng glanced at him but didn’t pursue the matter further. Instead, he pointed to the screen in the command center and said, “Take a look, these are the newly emerged cyan zergs.”
The zergs had suddenly attacked three planets, and although these planets weren’t large, they had a significant number of inhabitants, hence many of the inhabitants had used the terminals of their light brains to record the zerg invasion and then uploaded the footages to Starnet, and because the zerg attack had been so sudden, the Federation’s ZF hadn’t been able to prevent the videos from leaking online in time, and so now there were numerous videos and discussions about the cyan zergs on Starnet.
However the footages in those videos were far less clear than the live feeds in the command room, and in the current live feed, a cyan zerg was engaged in a battle with a level nine mech. It moved swiftly and reacted quickly, almost piercing through the mech several times with its tail.
“The foreclaws and tail of cyan zergs can penetrate the defenses of a level nine mech easily?” Sheng Heng couldn’t help but shout, “Are they level ten zergs?”
The defense of a level nine mech was designed to resist attacks from level nine zergs, so if the cyan zergs could breach this defense easily, then it meant they were stronger than level nine zergs. And above level nine, was level ten.
“No.” General Admiral Sheng shook his head, “Above level nine zergs, is the Zerg Emperor. These zergs are a mutated version of level nine zergs.”
