Chapter 149.1 Phantom Spirit Stone

Editor: Jodi

Yan Hao called Old Zhong on the communicator, explained the situation to him briefly, and in less than ten minutes, Old Zhong got the activity area of the phantom beast from the past.

“So fast?” Yan Hao was shocked when he received the information. Wasn’t this a top class level classified secret of the Federation? And it was obtained so easily.

“I am a level ten Mech Builder.” Old Zhong said somewhat proudly.

“Saying it as if you’re the only one who is.” Old Pang couldn’t stand seeing a certain someone being so smug.

“Then why didn’t you go and ask for it? Why did you ask our disciple to call me?”

“There’s no other way, who made me like being an idle person?”

“Hmph.” Old Zhong couldn’t be bothered to argue with him and after expressing his disdain with a cold snort, continued talking to Yan Hao, “I have already spoken to the Federation, so you can search by following the annotations on this. If there are any problems you can go to the local government or the stationed troops, they will cooperate with you fully.”

“Thank you, Master.”

“Contact me again if there’s anything else.” After saying this, Old Zhong hung up.

Yan Hao clicked on the information that had been sent by Old Zhong, checked the coordinates marked on it against the interstellar map of the Federation, then found that several of the coordinates were on uninhabited planets.

“Why is there no one there? Are they deserted planets?” Yan Hao couldn’t help but find it a little strange. After all, according to the records, these coordinates were where the phantom beasts were found the most.

It wasn’t known what Old Pang thought of as he frowned: “Xiao Hao, search the flight routes and see if there are any spaceships flying to these planets.”

“Okay.” Yan Hao also had this intention, hence he opened the official website for interstellar flights immediately, entered the coordinates of one of the uninhabited planets and clicked to search.

[Sorry, there are no flights to this planet at the moment.]

Yan Hao froze, then after the Master and disciple exchanged glances, he went on to enter the second coordinate.

[Sorry, there are no flights to this planet at the moment.]

After entering four coordinates in a row, the results were the same: no flights.

“Master, what’s going on? Is it because the Federation has set up restrictions to protect the habitats of the phantom beasts?” Yan Hao speculated, however he felt in his heart that it was unlikely, because these were places that no longer had phantom beasts, hence it was simply unnecessary to restrict human entry.

“There are only two possibilities for an uninhabited planet to have no spaceships entering its space. One, that planet has become a waste planet and is used to dump garbage, hence no spaceship goes there.” Old Pang paused then continued, “The other, is that that planet is lost.”

“Lost? The zergs?” Yan Hao reacted immediately.

“Hmm. Only military personnel will know information about these kinds of planets. It seems we need to ask the military for help with mining.” Old Pang told him.

“Then I’ll go and ask senior first to see if these planets are either waste planets or occupied by the zergs.” Yan Hao said.

“That’s good, Sheng Heng is from the War God Legion, so he will definitely know this kind of information.” Old Pang told him.

At lunchtime, the four sat down to eat together after a long time. The reason why it was after a long time was because they had all been busy this year. Yan Hao and Sheng Heng aside, Cheng Wenkang was participating in battlefield trials and hardly spent twenty days at school in a semester, while He Shao, although mostly at school, had had his grades lifted to the top five of the class because of the antics of the mech warriors he had partnered up with as they were really too troublesome.

“I checked, several of the planets that are located at those coordinates are indeed occupied by zergs, however most of them are low level zergs. It’s only one that is a bit tricky.” Sheng Heng said.

“Then let’s pick one to confirm first to see if this kind of ore is indeed a companion stone to phantom beasts.” Yan Hao said.

“Okay, I’ll talk to big brother later to see if we can get a small team over.” Sheng Heng told him.

“Okay.” Yan Hao didn’t act any polite with him and agreed with a smile.

“Boss, the low level zergs you just mentioned, what exactly are their levels?” Cheng Wenkang couldn’t help but ask.

“Below level six.” Sheng Heng answered.

“Then why bother Big brother Zhuo?”

Sheng Heng turned to look at fatty who had suddenly turned ingratiating and asked, “What do you mean?”

“I mean, we don’t need to trouble big brother Zhuo, we can handle it ourselves.”

“Although the level of the zergs on these planets isn’t high, there are quite a few of them, so going there would require at the very least a twenty-person team.” Sheng Heng told him.

“Isn’t it just twenty people? Our class has a total of forty-five.” Cheng Wenkang said in response.

Sheng Heng understood immediately: “You mean…. no. Independent missions can only be done when you’re a senior year student.”

“We, have to wait until our senior year, but you don’t. You already have the rank of lieutenant, and you’ve even killed a level nine zerg, so you can graduate right away. As long as you go and talk to our homeroom teacher, he will definitely agree. Besides, we’re just going to explore the ore veins this time. If we can’t beat them, we’ll just run, so there isn’t much risk.” Cheng Wenkang continued to persuade him, “Senior year is almost here, and after that, we have to choose the Legions we want to intern in ourselves. Half of our class has chosen the War God Legion, what’s more you promised to incorporate us into the team you’ll lead, so just consider this as an early practice.”

Sheng Heng frowned, still hesitating.

And seeing that he was still not agreeing, Cheng Wenkang glanced at Yan Hao who was sitting across from him and whispered in his ear: “Heng Ge, don’t you want to do something for our little junior with your own strength?”

His eyes lighting up, Sheng Heng stared straight at Yan Hao who was sitting across from him.

“What’s wrong?” Yan Hao noticed his gaze.

“Nothing.” Sheng Heng’s gaze softened, and it seemed as if nothing was wrong, however Cheng Wenkang who knew him well was already sure that his persuasion had succeeded by 80%.
