Chapter 79.2

Editor: Jodi

Li Qingzhou was picked up by Liu Bohuai after the martial arts competition in the arena ended.

On the way back, Liu Bohuai said, “The draw for the third round of the international finals is about to begin, but it seems that the martial arts competition doesn’t require draws for match-ups, right?”

Nodding, Li Qingzhou replied, “The martial arts competition has the fewest participants, and after the first and second rounds, there aren’t many left.”

“Hence the organizers decided to have a free-for-all battle for the combat robots, which is also the final match.”

“As for the rescue and domestic service type competitions, they have more participants, so it might take about four to five rounds before we can reach the finals.”

However there was no need to worry about the rescue competition. Rescue One had no competitors.

As for the domestic service category, Bernie’s team was worth keeping an eye on.

[I really hope the competition ends soon. The military has been urging us to bring the Number Ones back quickly…]

Liu Bohuai continued, “After the international finals, it would be almost New Year.”

Li Qingzhou froze, then calculated the time.

That’s right, the ending of the AI Robots Exchange Competition’s International Grand Finals would indeed coincide with the approaching New Year. Thinking about it this way, time had really flown by…

From the time he met Third Master until now, it was just left with the breaking of a paper layer between them.

[How does Third Master spend New Year’s?]

–The little guy in the bubble poked his finger shyly.

Li Qingzhou couldn’t help but ask: “What does Third Master do for New Year’s?”

[Spend it with Liu Xiahui?]

–The little guy in the bubble lay on the wall of the bubble with a curious expression, his head resting on his arm, his cheeks puffed slightly.

Liu Bohuai: “We go abroad. My mother is recuperating overseas, so the family gathers for a New Year’s dinner, then after we come back, I take Xia Hui to the Xia Residence.”

Their New Year celebration was quite ordinary, so it seemed there wasn’t much difference whether they celebrated it or not.

Li Qingzhou couldn’t help but think of the New Years he had spent in the hospital room.

Although he had been happy to have family around him, he could only watch the fireworks, hear the firecrackers, as well as the noisy crowds through the window….

[Fireworks, firecrackers, putting up couplets, pasting the character ‘Fu’ for good luck, carrying red lanterns…. I want to play, cough, experience all of it myself.]

–The little guy in the bubble suddenly changed into a festive and beautiful red cotton jacket, holding his chubby cheeks in his hands as he squinted his big eyes, daydreaming.

They had reached their destination.

Liu Bohuai stopped what he was about to say, lowered the car window, and gave his ID to the guard at the gate.

Then after a moment, after the guard confirmed their identities, the car drove into the Research Institute.

The place they had arrived at was the Biological Research Institute where Li Qingzhou collaborated with the National Medical College— that was currently specializing in two projects.

–Intelligent exoskeleton support and artificial organs.

The reason they had come here today was because Grandpa Zhuang had called to tell them that the materials for making the exoskeleton support were ready.

That both flexibility, as well as resilience had already met the standards.

And that if there weren’t any problems, the next step would be the follow-up phase of the intelligent exoskeleton support project— that was research, production, and market deployment.

Because of this, Li Qingzhou and Liu Bohuai would have to stay at the Institute until late in the evening.

Hence the task of picking up their little brother was left to Li Hanyu.

Fortunately, Li Hanyu’s freshman courses were relatively light, leaving her with plenty of time.

After Li Xusheng said goodbye to Xia Yijun, he got into the car and then they left.

The moment they were home, Li Xusheng asked, “Big sister, will big brother be home for dinner tonight?”

Li Hanyu: “No, big brother said he’ll be busy until late and so said we should have dinner first and then go and rest, that there’s no need to wait up for him.”

After all, Shengsheng had to get up early for school the next day.

Hearing this, Li Xusheng nodded his little head.

Just after, the nanny arrived to prepare dinner for the two siblings, then after waiting for them to finish eating, she tidied up and left.

Li Xusheng had some elementary school homework to do, and after he was done, he watched TV for a while before he started rubbing his eyes, feeling a little sleepy.

Seeing this, Li Hanyu told her little brother to go to his room to wash up and sleep.

Looking at the door, Li Xusheng mumbled drowsily, “When will big brother come back? I want to sleep with him.”

Li Hanyu had expected that this would happen, so she took out her phone, found her previous chat records with Li Qingzhou, and played a voice message – “Shengsheng, go to bed early. You’ll see big brother in the morning.”

“Otherwise, you won’t be able to get up, and you won’t be able to have breakfast with big brother and big sister.”

Li Hanyu patted her little brother’s head gently, “You’ve heard it this time, right? Go to bed quickly.”

This was the voice message she had specifically asked big brother to send.

Li Xusheng held his head, blushing as he smiled shyly, before going to bed obediently.

After Li Xusheng got under his blankets, Li Hanyu checked on him discreetly and it was only after confirming that he was really asleep that she left his room quietly, reassured.

Li Qingzhou had also sent a message to Li Hanyu to tell her to go to bed early.

However she wasn’t a child, so even though she agreed on the surface, she still left a small lamp on in the living room.

And covering herself with a small blanket, she lay on the couch, playing with her phone as she waited for him to come back.

Then around ten o’clock, she heard the sound of a car stopping outside the villa– big brother was back!

Li Hanyu instantly became alert. She sat up from the couch, slipped into her slippers, then went to the front door…

However the moment she opened the door a crack, she froze behind it.

Outside the door, Li Qingzhou and Liu Bohuai were kissing goodbye, their movements intimate.

And even, after the kiss, there was still a pinkish atmosphere around them, as they looked reluctant to part.

This kind of closely intimate atmosphere made it impossible for Li Hanyu to deceive her own eyes. Her big brother, actually with Third Master Liu….

It, it was Third Master Liu who seduced her big brother away right!

Li Hanyu instantly gripped the doorknob tightly.

[Third Master, bye-bye, mua mua, be safe on your way back.]

–The little guy in the bubble blew a kiss and waved goodbye.

Li Qingzhou: “Then I’m going inside. Third Master, after you get back…… remember to say goodnight to me.”

[So I’ll know you’ve arrived home safely.]

Liu Bohuai’s expression softened as he said, “Okay, you go in first.”

“En.”

Li Qingzhou manoeuvred his wheelchair and turned to leave.

However just as he was about to enter the villa through the door, he couldn’t help but turn back and wave.

–The eyes of the little guy in the bubble were especially reluctant, and he couldn’t help but reach out a small hand in Liu Bohuai’s direction in a grabbing gesture.

That little move…

Liu Bohuai almost didn’t leave.
