Chapter 81.1

Editor: Jodi

Shortly after the domestic service robot competition ended, the rescue competition wrapped up as well, with Rescue One emerging as the winner once more.

Next up was the melee match in the combat zone, which was scheduled for two days later.

By this time, the weather had turned colder, causing people to don their coats for warmth before going outdoors.

Li Qingzhou’s wheelchair had an extra small blanket for covering his legs.

On this rare day of rest, Ge Yue sent Li Qingzhou a message to celebrate – his comic book [Into the Trap] winning an award.

Because even though his family had held a celebration for him, he still wanted to share the joy with his friend.

Moreover, the villain character in the comic [Into the Trap] was inspired by Li Qingzhou himself.

Hence there was no way Ge Yue would celebrate without Li Qingzhou.

So, after finally waiting for his friend to have some free time, he invited him over.

The location was Ge Yue’s villa, where they set up a small garden barbecue.

Besides Li Qingzhou, he had also invited his uncle He Jianxun, Uncle Liu, Zhou Xingwei, Fang Xiyan, and Zou Ming.

Zhou Xingwei had initially hesitated to join, however Ge Yue was his good friend, so he couldn’t refuse just because he was heartbroken.

No, it couldn’t even be called heartbreak, considering the fact that President Li had no idea about his feelings…

Hence he still came and willingly grilled some meat with Fang Xiyan.

In the small garden, there was a barbecue stove that kept the surroundings warm, hence there was no trace of cold.

And with the sizzling skewers and dishes, staying here, chatting and eating, truly became a delight and was enjoyable.

Zhou Xingwei looked discreetly at Li Qingzhou several times.

Li Qingzhou and Liu Bohuai were sitting together, not too close, yet not too far from each other.

And at first glance, there seemed to be nothing special, however Liu Bohuai would often lean in to say something to Li Qingzhou, who would then respond in kind, creating a harmonious and intimate atmosphere.

Zhou Xingwei couldn’t help but lower his head in disappointment after a few more glances.

Poking the charcoal in the fire with tongs, he couldn’t help but ask Fang Xiyan who was beside him, “Assistant Fang, can I ask you a question…”

Fang Xiyan nodded, “Go ahead.”

Zhou Xingwei: “If someone hasn’t confessed their feelings to the person they like but they’re already heartbroken… should they still express their feelings?”

“And if they do… will it make things difficult for the person they confess to?”

But if he kept it to himself, his feelings might go unnoticed and fade away.

So confusing.

Fang Xiyan asked, “Does the person who is going to be confessed to have feelings for someone else?”

Zhou Xingwei: “……. Yes.”

Fang Xiyan: “In that case, I don’t recommend that your… I mean your friend, express their feelings. Not only might it cause trouble, it could make future meetings awkward.”

“Of course, that’s assuming that you, or they, have to continue working together or maintain a friendship.”

Zhou Xingwei, even more disheartened, lowered his head further and muttered, “You’re right.”

He decided to keep his feelings to himself.

Fang Xiyan, noticing his dejection, focused on grilling the meat – he wasn’t sure who Zhou Xingwei had feelings for, but it sounded like someone from their company…

Young people, who hadn’t gone through heartbreak at some point?

Finishing a skewer of barbecue, Li Qingzhou patted his stomach.

[Drank too much beer, I need to use the washroom.]

–The little guy in the bubble covered his little belly, jumping about anxiously.

The washroom was naturally inside the villa’s living room, so Li Qingzhou maneuvered his wheelchair to turn and leave.

However when Ge Yue saw that he was about to leave, he shouted, “Qingzhou, where are you going?”

Suddenly, Li Qingzhou became the center of attention of the entire garden, with everyone, from those who were grilling, to drinking, to chatting all turning to look at him.

[Ah ah ah, are you dumb! Why did you have to ask me that question?]

–The little guy in the bubble, took out his inflatable red hammer then with a red face, hit it in Ge Yue’s direction.

However he replied calmly on the surface, “I’m going to the washroom.”

Burping from the beer, Ge Yue chuckled, “Oh oh, I remember that our first meeting was in the washroom.”

“Qingzhou, do you want me to accompany you? Coincidentally, I’ve also had a bit too much to drink and want to…”

[No, you don’t want to! Are you a child? That you have to go to the washroom together? Can’t you wait for me to finish before you go?!]

–The little guy in the bubble dragged a pillow with Ge Yue’s face on it over and then covered Ge Yue’s pillow mouth with his chubby hands forcefully.

And then finally, out of frustration, he clenched his little fists then thumped the pillow’s head lightly.

Ge Yue was about to stand up to accompany his friend to the washroom when a gaze swept over him from the left, making him sit back down immediately.

Then getting up leisurely, Liu Bohuai pushed Li Qingzhou’s wheelchair while saying, “I also need to use the washroom.”

Ge Yue: Then I’d better sit here quietly.

After the two of them left, he sidled up to He Jianxun and asked in a hushed tone, “Uncle, you said before that Uncle Liu and Qingzhou seemed to be having a conflict.

But with the two of them like this now…… it should have already been resolved, right?”

He Jianxun nodded: “It seems it has.”

He could see that the atmosphere between the two was harmonious today.

Moreover, from their conversation, it seemed that Bohuai had even gone to the Yanjing Century Pavilion to watch the AI Robots competition.

–He just didn’t know what it was they had been fighting over?

He Jianxun was curious.
