Chapter 76.2

Editor: Jodi

Just as the two were going to pick the children up, Po Nan Zhi paused the video, freezing the scene with Rescue One rescuing a simulated victim from the rubble.

His brows furrowing, his expression soured.

One of the team members behind him said, “Captain, in the Grand Finals, they will select the first place team from each region, and then the final champion will be determined based on overall scores and popularity…..”

“Does our, does our robot Jensen have a chance to outperform Rescue One?”

The team member asked with a noticeable lack of confidence.

Po Nan Zhi replied, “Jensen is an underwater rescue robot, and Rescue One is for post disaster ruins rescue….”

“Although the final outcome depends solely on the scores, it’s ultimately about how well the robots perform in the scoring tasks.”

“Comparatively, underwater rescue is more challenging, but that also means it might have a slight advantage.”

Because of the greater difficulty, the scoring system might be relatively lenient.

This also meant that Jensen might find it easier to earn points….. so it wasn’t impossible to win the competition.

Of course, this was just Po Nan Zhi’s own perspective. His team members clearly lacked confidence.

However despite saying this, Po Nan Zhi’s expression didn’t improve in the slightest.

He said, “We might not be necessarily paired with the Unique Studio team in the second round draw. But before that….. we still have time to think of a solution.”

At the Zhuang family’s residence.

Li Xusheng held Xia Yijun’s hand as he introduced him to his little cousin, Zhuang Youhe and his big cousin, Zhuang Danming.

The two children were dressed in matching outfits and the same little white shoes, and standing together, they looked like brothers.

Zhuang Youhe nibbled on her finger as she asked curiously, “Big brother, is this your school uniform?”

Li Xusheng shook his head, “No, this outfit that Jun Jun and I are wearing was bought by Uncle Liu. Do you think it looks nice?”

Smiling, he adjusted the small tie on his shirt.

Zhuang Youhe nodded honestly, “It looks nice.”

Seeing this, Zhuang Danming whispered to Li Hanyu, “It looks like cousin and Mr. Liu have a good relationship.”

This could be seen by just looking at his little cousin.

Li Hanyu nodded, “En, it is indeed good.”

She thought for a moment– it seemed that recently, big brother and Mr. Liu had often come home together, then Mr. Liu would only leave after dropping off big brother.

Li Xusheng’s birthday party was a simple family gathering.

After all, it was during Li Qingzhou’s competition period, and too much time couldn’t be spared.

What’s more if they had planned a bigger celebration, it would have been rushed and poorly organized.

During the birthday party, Old Master Li and Grandpa Zhuang drank a little bit.

They had watched Li Qingzhou’s live competition together today and were happy for him as he had won, so they couldn’t resist having a little more to drink.

And the both of them were quite appreciative of Liu Bohuai and so spent the meal talking and drinking with him.

Li Qingzhou and his uncle, Zhuang Wenwei, tried to persuade them, but they couldn’t change their minds.

In the end, Old Master Li got a little tipsy and decided to spend the night at the Zhuang family’s house, then return to Xicheng tomorrow morning.

The only ones in the family who didn’t drink were Zhuang Wenwei and Li Qingzhou.

However Li Qingzhou couldn’t drive, so the task of taking them home fell to his uncle, Zhuang Wenwei.

Zhuang Wenwei said, “Mr. Liu, I’ll drive you and Jun Jun back first. You can leave your car nearby then tomorrow morning, I….”

Liu Bohuai, “There’s no need to trouble yourself. I can sleep at Qingzhou’s place tonight, and Jun Jun and Shengsheng can sleep together.”

“Tomorrow morning, someone will come to pick up the car.”

It was already late in the evening, and Liu Bohuai could have asked Zou Ming to come over, however he decided against it.

—A considerate boss, letting his assistant get a good night’s sleep.

[Wh-what?! Sleep with me?!]

—The little guy in the bubble who had been drowsy suddenly woke up in a flash, blinking his big eyes, as he covered his small face.

Liu Bohuai raised an eyebrow slightly.

If he remembered correctly– he had just said, ‘I can sleep at Qingzhou’s place’, not ‘sleep with’.

No…. maybe he had misspoken or remembered it wrong.

Zhuang Wenwei froze at his words, then looked at Li Qingzhou who had no objection and nodded, “Alright, I’ll go get the car and be back in a moment.”

Then turning around, he left.

Liu Bohuai walked over to Li Qingzhou at this time and whispered, “Qingzhou, you wouldn’t mind….. if we sleep together, right?”

[If I mind, then Third Master won’t sleep with me. No, even if I did mind, Third Master would still sleep with me! So…. I don’t mind.]

—Blushing, the little guy in the bubble lowered his head, pinching his fingers together nervously, as he twirled his foot.

His eyes softening, Liu Bohuai reached out to rub his hair.

Li Qingzhou looked up.

Li Hanyu had originally been watching Shengsheng and Jun Jun on the sofa.

The two children had exhausted themselves playing and were now dozing off, leaning against each other on the couch.

Then she happened to look up and saw this scene.

—Mr. Liu’s expression was undeniably gentle, his head bowed slightly as he lowered his eyes while her big brother raised his head, their eyes locked on the other’s.

Li Hanyu couldn’t help but be stunned, feeling that the atmosphere between Mr. Liu and her big brother…

Just then, the horn of a car sounded from outside.

Liu Bohuai turned to look.

She quickly retracted her gaze, then when Liu Bohuai came over to pick Jun Jun up, she also reached out to carry Shengsheng.

Then, carrying him, followed behind her big brother and Mr. Liu.

Liu Bohuai sat with Xia Yijun in the front passenger seat while Li Hanyu sat in the back with her little brother, with Li Qingzhou beside her.

Once they were in the car, Li Qingzhou couldn’t help but rub his forehead.

[Tired…]

—The little guy in the bubble yawned repeatedly, rubbing his eyes as he lay on top of a small blanket, just short of crawling under it.

Turning slightly, Liu Bohuai reached into the back seat and held out his palm which had a sour and sweet plum candy on it.

He whispered, “Want to eat?”

“En.”

The corners of Li Qingzhou’s lips rose slightly, but it wasn’t very obvious.

He reached for the plum candy, unwrapped it, then put it in his mouth. The tangy sweetness cleared his mind a bit.

Li Hanyu looked over, and the strange feeling she had felt in the living room a while ago suddenly rushed back to her.

“Is there more?” She couldn’t help but ask.

[Ah, my little sister also wants some? I wonder if Third Master still has any…]

Liu Bohuai said softly, “I don’t have any more here.”

“I took that candy from Jun Jun’s pocket just now, so you can feel Shengsheng’s pocket. There should be some inside.”

Hearing this, Li Hanyu reached over and sure enough, found a plum candy in her little brother’s pocket.

She thought for a moment. In order to be fair, it was better she ate one as well.

En….. the strange feeling from earlier was probably just her imagination.
