Chapter 67.1

In the evening, Liu Bohuai came to pick up Li Qingzhou.

Li Qingzhou had already made a call to Li Hanyu in advance.

—Telling her that she would be the one picking up their little brother from school as he was a little busy and would be home late.

Li Hanyu told him that it was okay.

As Li Qingzhou came out of the office, Liu Bohuai was waiting at the entrance, his eyes fixed on him, his usually emotionless gaze now clearly holding a hint of a smile.

[Sheesh, he’s so happy. As if he’s afraid I wouldn’t notice.]

—The little guy in the bubble twisted his little body and pouted in Liu Bohuai’s direction.

Suppressing the smile that was tugging at the corners of his lips, Liu Bohuai walked up to Li Qingzhou and taking the handle of the wheelchair from Fang Xiyan who had let go, said, “Assistant Fang, you can go home first. I’ll have dinner with Qingzhou, then I’ll take him home.”

Nodding, Fang Xiyan said goodbye to the two Presidents then left.

Lowering his head, Liu Bohuai whispered in Li Qingzhou’s ear, “I’ll prepare dinner tonight, so Qingzhou, what would you like to eat?”

With that, he pushed Li Qingzhou towards his car.

[What?! We’re even going to have dinner together?! Shouldn’t, shouldn’t we just hurry up and fulfill the bet?]

—The cheeks of the little guy in the bubble immediately turned rosy, his little hands clenching at his chest nervously as his head lowered gradually.

Li Qingzhou: “Anything is fine.”

[Can I not eat?]

Liu Bohuai chose selective hearing as he asked, “Hmm, then let’s have steak with red wine for dinner. What do you think?”

Li Qingzhou responded with a nonchalant ‘En.’

In reality, he was grumbling in his heart as he climbed into the car.

**

The Liu family’s Old Mansion.

Unlike the bustling scene at the birthday banquet the last time,

This time, apart from Li Qingzhou and Liu Bohuai, even the butlers and nannies in the Old Mansion were all on vacation.

However, Li Qingzhou didn’t find it quiet.

Because Liu Bohuai had put on some soothing music, cut a plate of fruit, prepared red tea and snacks and even turned on the TV to a program featuring stand-up comedians for him.

Then carrying him to the couch, placed a small blanket on his legs thoughtfully then said, “Stay here for a while, I’m going to prepare dinner.”

“Ah, en.”

Li Qingzhou leaned back into the couch, looking somewhat stunned.

From the moment he had entered the room, he hadn’t really reacted yet, and then this….

—Third Master is too, too considerate, woo.

Li Qingzhou picked up a piece of fruit from the plate while at this moment, Liu Bohuai was already bustling around in the kitchen.

A stand-up comedy show was playing on the TV. Li Qingzhou looked up— coincidentally, it was the two comedians he had found especially funny last time.

So he chose to temporarily forget that he had a bet to honour later and watched the TV with rapt attention.

Every now and then, Liu Bohuai would stick his head out from the kitchen, only to see Li Qingzhou engrossed in the show while maintaining a serious expression, with the corners of his mouth hooked up in a barely contained smile, but still controlled, not too wide.

—It was the little guy in the bubble who was laughing so hard because of the show that he was rocking back and forth in pure joy.

Before long, dinner was ready.

And turning off the noisy TV show, Liu Bohuai picked Li Qingzhou up, sat him properly in the wheelchair, then pushed him over to the dining table.

The amount of fruit he had cut wasn’t too much, perfect for eating before a meal and the red tea and snacks had also been in small quantities.

And considering the hectic afternoon work schedule, it had been just right to fill the stomach.

Hence when Li Qingzhou smelled the aroma that was wafting continuously from the kitchen, he stopped eating. After all, how could fruits and desserts compete with steak?

Liu Bohuai was a novice when it came to dating, without any experience.

And so for this, he had specially searched online before tonight to learn how to set up a candlelight dinner— candles, music, flowers, red wine, all were indispensable.

Going over to the bar, he cranked up the old record player.

Soft music filled the room, the candlelight flickered, and the dining table was sprinkled with pink petals….

[Pff, this setup looks like something that was learned online, haha.]

—The little guy in the bubble giggled behind his hand, his big eyes squinting with amusement.

Liu Bohuai paused, then lowered his head and adjusted his glasses with his index finger.

[But, Third Master is actually weirdly cute like this…..]

—The little guy in the bubble rubbed his rosy cheeks then looked expectantly at the steak, rubbing his little belly.

Walking over, Liu Bohuai sat down then pushed the dinner plate closer to Li Qingzhou: “Qingzhou, have a taste.”

“En.” Li Qingzhou nodded.

As he cut into the steak and tasted it, his eyes lit up immediately.

[Wow, delicious!]

—The little guy in the bubble gave a thumbs up.

Li Qingzhou praised Liu Bohuai’s culinary skills highly.

During the meal, the atmosphere between Li Qingzhou and Liu Bohuai was harmonious as they chatted pleasantly while eating, which momentarily made him forget about fulfilling the bet.

It wasn’t until after dinner that…..

At this point, the candles were half burned, the bottle of red wine was half finished, and the record player had had a few spins.

That as Liu Bohuai rose slightly to clear the table that Li Qingzhou finally remembered the main ‘purpose’ of his visit to the Liu family’s Old Mansion— respecting and fulfilling the bet.

[You can do it! Go for it! I’ve watched the video multiple times. Isn’t it just a kiss, who doesn’t know how to do it?]

—The little guy in the bubble lifted his arms to cheer himself on, a red band tied on his head with a large word in the middle– ‘Brave’.

However when it came to the moment of truth, Li Qingzhou couldn’t help but become nervous.

So he subconsciously began to wheel himself around aimlessly.

—Gliding from this end to that in the living room, then from there towards the bar in the corner….

Until Liu Bohuai stood in front of him and his rolling wheelchair hit a ‘wall’.

Raising his head, he blinked.

[Ner, nervous…..]

—The red ribbon with the word ‘Brave’ that the little guy in the bubble had tied around his head had already vanished, replaced by a black one with a distinctively bright red character— ‘Corward’ in the middle.

“Third Master…” Li Qingzhou wanted to say something but then stopped.

Reaching out, Liu Bohuai rubbed his head. The strands of his hair slipping gently through his fingers as he said softly, “Qingzhou, if you’re afraid…..”

[Uh-huh? Is it that if I’m afraid, the bet can be nullified?!]

—The little guy in the bubble couldn’t help but clench his fists and press them against his chest, his eyes looking at Liu Bohuai expectantly.

Li Qingzhou couldn’t help but show a hint of anticipation as well.

Then he heard Liu Bohuai continue, “….. we can fulfill it later, I’m not in a hurry.”

—The little guy in the bubble wilted visibly.

Lowering his lashes slightly, Li Qingzhou said, “No, Third Master, now…. you sit on the sofa.”

[I’m super brave, I won’t delay!]

—The little guy in the bubble clenched his little fists, puffing up his round face to make himself feel more spirited.

  1. It was so sweet that Liu Bohuai even looked online how to have a romantic dinner date, so although it was a bit cheesy, it was still very romantic and earnest on his part. At least his actions are showing Li Qingzhou how much he clearly likes him, which will serve as a good stepping stone for his own feelings toward Liu Bohuai.

    Thanks for the chapter! 😀
