Chapter 91.2

Editor: Jodi

Director Li was eccentric and difficult to get along with.

And if it wasn’t for the fact that his films were exceptional, with almost every one of them winning awards and that he had a strong family background, it was estimated that the people he had offended would be enough to line up from the east to the west side of Yanjing.

And although Ji Feng was a celebrated actor with several awards to his name,

He was relatively new to the film industry and so didn’t dare challenge Director Li’s authority.

And so he didn’t have any other choice.

His agent, however really didn’t want to give up on the Li Group Corporation’s advertisement.

To his knowledge, this advertisement for the robots in Auto City was just the beginning.

If the ad received a positive response, then there was a chance that the Li Group Corporation might continue their contract with the person who had filmed the ad.

In this way, it could lead to repeat endorsement deals for the AI domestic service robots.

Li Qingzhou’s team had won the AI Robots Exchange Competition’s International Grand Finals.

And the intelligence level of the three number one robots exceeded that of international standards, as had been demonstrated clearly during the competition.

Moreover he had learned that the Li Group Corporation’s production of the service-type robots was supported strongly by the government.

And that these three robots had already applied for national patents, with the rescue and combat robots being housed at national research institutes.

What’s more it was a done deal that there would be a mass production of Service One.

And with time, it was possible that every household would own a service-type intelligent robot.

Hence this filming of this first ad was a golden opportunity, one with potential benefits that could cause one’s heart to skip.

And the Li Group Corporation had approached Ji Feng again because of the success of the advertisement he had filmed previously for their smart AI cars.

Unfortunately, the circumstances were unfavorable this time.

If the Li Group Corporation decided to publicly look for someone else for the advertisement, Ji Feng would miss out on the opportunity.

His agent: “No, I have to find a way.”

And with that, Ji Feng’s studio started leveraging their connections and relationships.

Li Qingzhou received a call from Xu Mengning who had already come back from Yuancheng, wanting to give him some local specialties.

The two of them agreed on a time and place to meet, and it was near the hospital where Xu Mengning was interning at.

Recently, Liu Bohuai had been busy with work, and so after work, it was Fang Xiyan who drove Li Qingzhou to the hospital.

And instead of a wheelchair, Li Qingzhou, wearing an exoskeleton support, walked out of the car by himself.

Xu Mengning was already waiting near the hospital.

And when she saw him walking, her expression was a mix of emotions– joy, nostalgia, and guilt…. in short, it was complicated.

And when Li Qingzhou got close, she composed herself and smiled, handing him a bag, “Qingzhou, these are specialties from Yuancheng for you.”

And most of them were edible treats.

“Thank you.” Li Qingzhou accepted the bag.

However he didn’t leave immediately but sat down nearby.

There was a small garden near the hospital that was adorned with pavilions and wooden chairs– the two chose a relatively secluded spot to sit and chat.

Xu Mengning asked about the intelligent exoskeleton support.

She was an intern in the hospital and had heard some news about it and so was naturally curious.

Li Qingzhou spoke about it briefly.

And after he finished speaking, Xu Mengning’s face lit up with joy, but then her expression fell, her eyes dimming slightly.

She whispered, “I had originally planned to enroll in the medical department so that when I was finished with my studies, I would be able to find a way for your legs……hoping you can stand up again.”

“But now, you can already stand up and walk…”

She had always harbored guilt towards Li Qingzhou, guilt which had driven her decision to pursue medicine in high school.

However the goal she had been striving for, Li Qingzhou had achieved on his own.

She couldn’t do anything for Qingzhou…..

Li Qingzhou: “Don’t think too much, my legs will get even better.”

He would definitely be able to run and jump again in the future.

Now, his relationship with Xu Mengning was simple – just friends who had known each other since childhood.

Unlike in the original story where the original host had been desperate, committing many legally questionable acts and never managing to improve the strained relationships with his family.

Not to mention, the Li family eventually falling into the hands of Li Chengkang….. all the truth and conspiracies being buried.

The two chatted for a while longer before parting ways.

Xu Mengning still had a night shift to attend to while Li Qingzhou had to go home.

However on the way home, Li Qingzhou suddenly asked Fang Xiyan to stop the car.

Then without the expression on his face changing, he said, “There’s a night market here, I’m going down to buy some snacks to take back…. Hanyu and Shengsheng mentioned before that they wanted to try some.”

Li Qingzhou had never visited a night market before, let alone eaten at street food stalls.

And so Fang Xiyan, not suspecting anything, pulled over and parked the car.

Then he followed Li Qingzhou around the night market.

On their return, they were both carrying several bags full of food.

And when Li Qingzhou got home, Shengsheng had already been picked up from school by Li Hanyu.

Li Hanyu was surprised, “Big brother, what did you buy?”

Because seriously, Li Qingzhou’s appearance at the moment was surprising.

–Sitting in the wheelchair, he had bags hanging from the handles at the back and on both sides of the wheelchair.

Fang Xiyan had offered to help bring the food inside, but Li Qingzhou had refused.

And the moment he entered the villa’s living room, the scent of the street food spread out quickly.

And inhaling, Li Xusheng couldn’t help but run over to the side of Li Qingzhou’s wheelchair and tug at one of the bags.

Li Qingzhou said without the expression on his face changing, “These are snacks from the night market. Shengsheng saw them on TV before and said that he wanted to try them. I happened to be passing by the night market today, so I bought some.”

Li Xusheng looked up in confusion. He had said that?

He thought about it. He seemed to have watched a show and had been curious about the night market that they had featured, so maybe….. he had said that?

So, he said, “Thank you, big brother.”

“…..You’re welcome.” Li Qingzhou froze, then rubbed his little brother’s hair gently.

Really good, helping big brother out like this.

It was actually him who wanted to eat them.

He had watched that TV program with Shengsheng….. cough.

Li Qingzhou finally got to indulge his cravings, however he unknowingly ate too much.

–At first, he was fine, however by midnight, he began to suffer from stomach pain and an upset stomach.

The noise caught the attention of Li Hanyu who rushed over to check.

However by then, Li Qingzhou was clutching his stomach, sweating profusely from the pain, unable to move.

And unable to carry her big brother, she was at a loss then remembered to call Liu Bohuai for help.

Then Liu Bohuai came to take Li Qingzhou to the hospital.

Meanwhile, Li Hanyu stayed home to look after their little brother.
