Chapter 75.1

Editor: Jodi

The situation seemed somewhat unfavourable because when the collapse happened, Rescue One had already ventured deep into the ruins.

“Captain, Rescue One is calling for captain.”

After a moment, there was a steady electronic sound from Rescue One: “Rescue One has successfully located the injured, but the injuries are too severe and require immediate treatment.”

The images were first transmitted to the laptop and then displayed on the big screen.

Li Qingzhou: “Permission granted.”

From the transmitted images, one could see thick and sturdy mechanical arms extend from Rescue One’s body.

Then they suddenly separated into five to six solid mechanical arms which quickly formed a circle around the victim.

Then immediately afterwards, they detached and supported themselves from Rescue One’s body.

And during the bandaging process, one of the mechanical arms with small wheels at the back of Rescue One’s body automatically detached itself again.

This mechanical arm was still connected to Rescue One, however it had chains that could stretch freely, allowing it to change direction.

Hence while Rescue One was bandaging the injured, it simultaneously re-excavated a passage leading out of the ruins….

[D*mn! It turns out Rescue One’s arms has had so many improvements made to them! A two pronged approach, it can rescue people without delaying the excavation.]

[Impressive, and this shows that Rescue One’s intelligent system is really advanced!]

[Ah ah ah, Rescue One isn’t slower than Simon! The impact of the second collapse can be completely ignored! Rescue One you can do it!]

On the one side, Rescue One was making good progress while on the other, Bernie’s team had run into a difficulty.

—Simon made a mistake while moving a critically injured victim, causing the sensor inside the dummy victim representing vital signs to disappear instantly.

Bernie’s face paled.

And among the judges, someone couldn’t help but shake his head, deducting the corresponding points.

[Sigh, Bernie’s team is going to lose.]

[I originally thought that the second collapse on Rescue One’s side might bring the scores closer or even lead to a reversal, however it didn’t have much impact. Instead, Bernie’s team has made a rescue mistake, which is undoubtedly fatal…]

[In comparison— although Simon responded immediately when the second collapse occurred, there was a delay because of the time spent reinstalling the metal plates. However Rescue One handled the critically injured victims very well, so the time gap wasn’t widened.]

[Then after that, Rescue One encountered a second collapse incident, and its response was timely, but Simon didn’t have a corresponding way to handle its critically injured victim…..]

[So, this led to a gap in the scores, and the number of rescues also diverged.]

[Upstairs, well said! Let me summarize it—Simon can’t match Rescue One, our Rescue One has won!]

The outcome was no longer in doubt.

Rescue One won the match.

Shouting, the live audience applauded enthusiastically.

Li Qingzhou and Bernie shook hands in the arena.

Bernie said, “Your Rescue One is excellent. I lost, fair and square. Congratulations.”

Li Qingzhou: “Thank you, Simon is also impressive.”

Bernie added, “I look forward to meeting you in the Domestic Service Robot Zone, I’m curious to see what kind of service robot Mr. Li’s team can create.”

Li Qingzhou replied, “You will.”

…

After the competition ended, the audience began to leave.

And Liu Bohuai stood up, intending to head backstage.

However just then, someone suddenly walked by in front of him, someone who, despite the sunglasses on his face, one could tell that his expression was dark and heavy.

Liu Bohuai heard someone mutter behind him.

“Ey, isn’t that guy Po Nan Zhi from H Country? He also came to watch the competition?”

“Where? How come I didn’t see him?”

“He just walked by a moment ago….”

Thinking back, Liu Bohuai realized that that profile indeed matched Po Nan Zhi.

He walked out of the audience area without paying much attention, with Zou Ming following behind him.

And soon after, met up with Li Qingzhou to discuss where to have lunch.

“How about celebrating a bit?” Yu Zhe suggested.

However he dismissed the idea immediately, shaking his head, “No, no, never mind.”

“I’m afraid of tempting fate. The finals have just begun, so celebrating isn’t appropriate…..”

After all, they had only won one match.

Lu Mei Shan patted his shoulder.

Because they had just defeated an important top ranked opponent, a smile couldn’t help but appear on her face. She told him, “What are you afraid of? Have confidence in our team’s robots.”

Dong Lin chimed in from the side, “Yes, yes, have faith in President Li!”

Li Qingzhou, “This doesn’t really count as a celebration, but let’s go and eat.”

[The competition has been going on for so long. I’m already hungry.]

—The little guy in the bubble lay down on the wall without energy, rubbing his little stomach with both hands.

“Okay, President Li.” Yu Zhe and the others nodded.

Liu Bohuai walked over to him and pushed the wheelchair outside, “What do you want to eat?”

Li Qingzhou: “I want to eat….”
