Chapter 92.1

Editor: Jodi

As soon as Liu Bohuai received the call, he rushed over and carrying Li Qingzhou out of the villa, drove towards the hospital.

Li Qingzhou held his stomach as he lay in the back seat, whimpering softly. However the sounds he was making, while not loud as they were faint, were enough to drive Liu Bohuai to the edge of panic.

Fortunately, they arrived at the hospital quickly.

And after the examination, the doctor said, “It’s nothing serious, just overeating and indigestion. A drip should do the job.”

“Come, fill out these forms.”

Liu Bohuai filled the forms out then carried Li Qingzhou into a single ward.

Administering an IV took time, and with it already being midnight, they decided not to go back home for now, guessing that it would be dawn by the time the drip finished.

Liu Bohuai lay Li Qingzhou on the hospital bed gently, took his coat off, tucked him under the covers then wiped his sweaty forehead and hair with a dry towel he had found softly.

[Woo… it hurts, uncomfortable…]

——The little guy in the bubble curled up on the cushion, his eyes shut tightly, his little hands covering his stomach as his legs also curled up as if trying to shrink into a ball.

Li Qingzhou’s eyes were closed, however he opened them slightly when Liu Bohuai wiped his face gently, his consciousness that was blurred with pain clearing just a little.

Liu Bohuai turned him to his side gently, then reached behind to wipe his sweat-soaked back.

[Hug.]

——The little guy in the bubble whimpered, clutching his stomach as he rolled over on the soft cushion.

Liu Bohuai threw the towel down to hug him.

And immediately, Li Qingzhou snuggled into his arms.

Soon after, a nurse came in with a cart to start the IV.

However she froze for a moment when she saw one man hugging another at the bedside, then proceeded as she normally did, walking over to the side of the bed to whisper softly, “Sir, we can start the IV now.”

Liu Bohuai patted Li Qingzhou’s back slightly, then loosened his hold a bit.

After the nurse inserted the needle into the pale blue vein, she left the room quietly, closing the door behind her.

And the moment she returned to the nurses’ station, the other night-shift nurses gathered around her, their curiosity piqued as they bombarded her with questions.

“Sister Liu, aren’t those two particularly handsome? I couldn’t take my eyes off them when they came in, they’re too handsome right?”

“Was the man who was carried in not able to walk…. does he have a problem with his legs?”

“Definitely, otherwise why else would one man be carrying another? His legs did seem weak, so he might be disabled.”

“Ah, what a pity.”

The two young nurses couldn’t help but have looks of sympathy on their faces.

They were gathered around the desk, talking so quietly that if one didn’t get close enough to listen, they wouldn’t be able to hear what they were saying.

And in the deep silence of the night, the hospital, though still with people moving about, was notably quieter.

Sister Liu, the nurse who had just administered the IV to Li Qingzhou, shushed them, telling them, “Go and do what you’re supposed to be doing.”

“It’s none of our business how they are. Less talking, more working.”

There were still rounds to be made.

Sister Liu was the head nurse, what’s more she had worked in the hospital for more than ten years, hence her words commanded respect.

Because as soon as she finished saying this, the others stopped their chatter and dispersed to do their respective tasks.

And Sister Liu, while reviewing other patients’ records, couldn’t help but be a little distracted. Those two looked like a couple.

Two men being in a relationship was nothing unusual to her. After all, after years in the hospital, what sort of situations had she not seen?

However what surprised her was the identity of the two men — Her son was a fan of robotics and had been following the artificial intelligence robot competition avidly.

And at the end of the international competition, C Country had won, and the one who had won seemed to be the one who was receiving the IV…..

Unfortunately, he had been buried in the arms of the other man, causing her to be unable to see what he looked like, and she also didn’t dare stare for too long either…..

In the single ward,

Li Qingzhou was half-lying in Liu Bohuai’s arms, in a state between sleep and pain.

He had been in excruciating pain at first, however he was much better now.

Hence he was resting with his eyes closed, trying to regain some energy.

And one of Liu Bohuai’s hands was on his stomach, warming him up, making him feel much more comfortable.

And two hours later, Liu Bohuai rang the bell and a nurse came to remove the IV.

After the equipment was cleared away, it was left with just the two of them in the ward again.

And Liu Bohuai, holding Li Qingzhou, moved his body so Li Qingzhou could lay down more comfortably, and then covered him with the quilt again.

By this time, Li Qingzhou’s stomach had long since stopped hurting, and he had even managed a trip to the bathroom.

And during the IV session, Liu Bohuai had stepped out to call Li Hanyu.

–He had explained Li Qingzhou’s situation, told her that everything was fine, that she and Liu Xusheng should rest early, and that there was no need to worry.

With Third Master Liu by her big brother’s side, Li Hanyu knew that everything was under control and so relieved, hung up then went to put her little brother to bed.

“We won’t go to the office tomorrow, we will stay home and rest.” Liu Bohuai whispered.

“En.” Li Qingzhou nodded.

“Aren’t you sleepy?” Liu Bohuai asked him.

Because he had noticed that Li Qingzhou, despite being awake and showing signs of improved energy, didn’t seem tired at all.

“I’m not too sleepy. Ah Huai, hurry up and sleep…..”

And saying this, he moved his body sideways to make more room for Liu Bohuai to lie down.

However Liu Bohuai didn’t do as he wanted and instead straightened up, sitting up a bit straighter.

And looking at Li Qingzhou, asked, “What did you eat tonight?”

Li Qingzhou’s eyes wandered a little, “Nothing much, just….. a normal dinner.”

“The doctor asked earlier too. I ate a bit too much and had some problems with digestion.”

He had been vague when the doctor had been questioning him.

Because it was really somewhat difficult to answer.

After all, one of the reasons why his stomach had been upset, might have probably also been because those street snacks were unclean.

However what was weird was that while he suffered from unbearable stomach ache, his little siblings didn’t show any signs of discomfort, not even the slightest bit of reaction.

[….. woo, I can’t even compare to my little siblings in terms of health. But I’m not weak, I’m not weak at all.]

–The cheeks of the little guy in the bubble puffed out as he clenched his fists.

And Liu Bohuai saw, and heard all of this.

He asked: “You really didn’t eat anything?”

“I didn’t.”

[As long as I don’t say it then it means it never happened.]

Liu Bohuai took one of his hand, and rubbing the back with his thumb slowly, told him, “When you were taking the IV I spoke to Hanyu on the phone.”

He lifted his eyes to look at him, his eyebrows raised slightly.

And hearing this, Li Qingzhou’s heart thumped.

–The eyes of the little guy in the bubble widened, and his mouth opening, he stumbled back two steps in a row, falling against the wall. Finished.jpg.
