Chapter 59 Lin Qin’s Background
Outside the window, the morning light had already spilled down, and the clear and ethereal song of birds woke up a new day.
Meng Chao wiped the tears that had fallen from Lin Qin’s eyes away gently, and seeing Lin Qin sleeping peacefully in his arms, he wanted to hold him tightly but was afraid of making too much movement and waking him up.
However in the end, he couldn’t resist leaning down to kiss his cheek.
“Sleep, when you wake up, everything will be new.” Meng Chao whispered softly.
Lin Qin seemed to have heard him, because he nuzzled against Meng Chao’s chest, finding a comfortable position with a completely at ease expression on his face.
Meng Chao’s heart, however, still felt like it was being squeezed tightly, and it hurt.
Just thinking about the despair and suffering Lin Qin had gone through made him wish he could travel back in time to protect Lin Qin securely by his side.
He couldn’t even bear to imagine what would have happened if Lin Qin had really given in to the despair that day. Would he still have been able to meet him?
Meng Chao couldn’t suppress the emotions billowing in his heart and pulled Lin Qin into his arms tightly, pressing their bare skin together, because it was only in this way that he could feel a sense of security.
Lin Qin, woken up by Meng Chao’s movements, yawned as he asked sleepily, “What’s wrong?”
Meng Chao shook his head. “Nothing, go back to sleep.”
Lin Qin had already been tossed once a lot last night, and coupled with him talking to Meng Chao until well past 4 in the morning, he was now so exhausted that he could barely keep his eyes open. He kissed Meng Chao on the chin then closed his eyes, quickly drifting into dreamland.
This time his dream wasn’t filled with dark and haunting memories, just sweetness, filled with dreamlike colors.
An hour later, a car stopped on a mountain road and a middle-aged man got out of the car, looking very handsome in his well-tailored suit. His face wasn’t unfamiliar to people in the entertainment industry.
He was Lin Cheng Du, the head of the Lin Group and the big boss of Chu Tian Entertainment.
When the director heard that Lin Cheng Du was coming, although he was puzzled as to why this big boss was visiting their small production, he still went to welcome him warmly.
“President Lin, what brings you here?”
Lin Cheng Du said with a smile, “You don’t need to mind me. Carry on with your work. I’ve come to pick up my son.”
Lin Cheng Du’s son? The director muttered in his heart: How come he didn’t know that Lin Cheng Du’s son was in the production team?
Just then, Chu Hong came out and, seeing Lin Cheng Du, she was surprised, “Uncle, why are you here?”
“Xiao Qin will be done with the recording today, right? I came to pick him up to take him home.” Lin Cheng Du said as he walked to Chu Hong’s side, then he looked into the villa, “Where’s Xiao Qin? Shouldn’t he be up at this hour?”
The director and the crew members hadn’t yet reacted to who the Xiao Qin Lin Cheng Du was talking about was. However once they connected the dots between his surname and how Chu Hong addressed him, the answer became clear: Lin Qin!
Lin Qin was actually the young master of Chu Tian Entertainment, the heir of the Lin Group!
This background was too big. No one in the industry even knew this. Lin Qin was really too low key right?
Whether others were surprised by Lin Qin’s identity didn’t concern Chu Hong. She explained what had happened last night to Lin Cheng Du then said, “He was probably frightened last night, and so is still resting.”
Lin Cheng Du’s face darkened immediately, and he asked with fury in his eyes, “Where is that dog Fang Ming Hui right now? This old man will destroy him!”
“He’s in the hospital.” Chu Hong didn’t stop him. “Movie Emperor Meng beat him up last night.”
“Well done!”
Just then, a clear but angry voice of a woman came from the bamboo grove.
All eyes turned in that direction, only to see another familiar face– Chu Ge, the CEO of a certain international luxury brand in the Asia-Pacific region.
“Auntie, why are you also here?” Chu Hong was surprise once again.
“What brings you here?” Lin Cheng Du asked dryly, but he couldn’t help sneaking glances at Chu Ge.
Chu Ge answered, “I came to take Xiao Qin home.”
The director and crew members who were watching had turned into statues. Both Lin Qin’s parents were so impressive and powerful. These backgrounds were unparalleled in the entertainment industry.
It had to be known that behind Chu Ge was that big boss who was in charge of the Chu family.
And then adding Meng Chao’s Meng family…..
At this point, the onlookers couldn’t help but feel sorry for Fang Ming Hui, but he had brought it on himself. No one was to blame.
…
A little over ten minutes later, Meng Chao came down from upstairs but was surprised to see Chu Ge and Lin Cheng Du. Instead, he sat down with them and it wasn’t known what they were discussing.
Chu Hong who was watching from a distance couldn’t help but feel a chill run down her spine, having a feeling that these three big bosses were going to do something.
“Cousin, what’s wrong with you?”
Lin Qin had come down from upstairs and seeing Chu Hong standing on the staircase, he couldn’t help but look into the living room then stopped just behind her and asked.
Chu Hong turned around, “You’re awake. How do you feel?”
Chu Hong was simply concerned about Lin Qin’s mental state, but because Lin Qin had a guilty conscience, he misinterpreted her question and blushed profusely, stammering, “I… I’m fine. I’m very okay.”
Chu Hong immediately realized that Lin Qin had misinterpreted her question and flashed him a knowing smile, saying cheekily, “Cousin, you’ve finally got your wish. I wish you and Movie Emperor Meng a long and happy relationship.”
Lin Qin nodded with a red face, “Thank you, cousin.”
When the three people on the other side who were having a discussion heard them, they stopped and called Lin Qin over.
When Lin Qin saw his parents, he was a little surprised, “Mom, Dad, why are you here?”
“To take you home.” Both Chu Ge and Lin Cheng Du said simultaneously, their attitudes somewhat cautious.
Their hearts were filled with guilt toward Lin Qin and they had blamed each other in the past, but in the end, they both realized that it was their fault. If they had set aside their work and put aside their so called self-esteem back then and paid more attention to Lin Qin, none of this would have happened.
Instead, by the time they realized it, it was too late.
Over the years, although Lin Qin hadn’t explicitly shown any resentment towards them, he had also distanced himself from them.
“Lin Qin will leave with me later.” Meng Chao stood up and said politely to his future in-laws.
All eyes in the living room immediately focused on Meng Chao.
Meng Chao walked over to Lin Qin calmly, held his hand and said, “Next month, Lin Qin and I will be joining the same project and we have some scenes together, so I was thinking to rehearse a bit during these remaining days.”
He gave a seemingly valid reason, but it carried a strong undertone of authority.
From Meng Chao’s perspective, he couldn’t directly blame Chu Ge and Lin Cheng Du, but he couldn’t help but show his disapproval.
Chu Ge and Lin Cheng Du both looked at Lin Qin at the same time, their eyes clearly asking the question: Baby, do not want mom and dad because of this man?
“I’ll go with Meng Chao.” Lin Qin replied. It was really for the reason of rehearsing scenes with Meng Chao, as he had been wanting to see Meng Chao’s acting skills up close.
Chu Hong watched her aunt and uncle sympathetically, feeling as though she could hear the sound of glass hearts shattering.
