Chapter 26.2 The goddess’s expression is strange

Editor: Jodi

Min Song was a supermodel and a second-generation celebrity, considered a senior in the entertainment industry. She rarely accepted domestic invitations, preferring international catwalks. However, this didn’t diminish her fame in the country, where she was renowned as the top level goddess.

Seeing her today in person, she was undeniably stunning.

After striking a few poses, she softened her icy demeanor and aura, revealing a gentle smile as she welcomed everyone to the auction.

“Haha, Xiao Ci, when she smiles, she looks a bit like you.” Wei Shuo chuckled and added, “Her eyes also form crescents when she smiles.”

Sitting in the front row, his voice might have been a bit loud, because Min Song happened to hear him. She looked over, and when her gaze landed on Shen Ci, she was slightly stunned, not looking away.

The appearance of this young man triggered an oddly familiar sensation in Min Song, as if it had stirred a distant memory in her mind.

Xiao Ci… right?

She felt like she had seen this person before.

Shen Ci had been stared at by her for quite some time that he touched his face a little uncomfortably. “Is there something on my face…?”

Lu Xiao reached out to wipe the corner of his mouth gently. “En, there’s a little bit of cream.”

Shen Ci’s whole demeanor changed. “What! That’s so embarrassing. Shuo Shuo, why didn’t you tell me earlier?”

Wei Shuo: “???”

What f*cking cream? He didn’t want to just get any blame, but seeing Lu Xiao’s seemingly nonchalant yet subtly warning gaze….

His survival instincts kicked in as he said hurriedly, “I was wrong, I was wrong. I’ll definitely tell you next time.”

Suddenly, the young man was blocked by the tall man beside him, so Min Song couldn’t see his face anymore.

Although he appeared relaxed and casual, the look he gave her was incredibly dangerous, like a wild beast issuing a warning to an intruder.

He seemed to be very concerned that someone was coveting the young man next to him.

Min Song couldn’t help but chuckle inwardly. She had grown up in the hands of her ruthless father, so she wasn’t afraid of him at all.

As a result, she became even more curious about the identity of this young man.

Min Song shifted her gaze away, engaging in some interaction as directed by the host before preparing to leave the stage.

Before turning around, she cast a meaningful glance at Shen Ci.

Shen Ci was confused: “Could it be that she knows me?”

Lu Xiao was quiet, but Wei Shuo sighed and fretted, “Do you have some sort of attraction that lures people in? Why do you keep attracting women?”

Laughing, Shen Ci knocked him on the head. “Be serious!”

Glancing at the graceful figure of Min Song growing distant, Shen Ci was still confused.

The subsequent performances varied in quality, with many clearly being newcomers who had recently started practicing. It was evident that certain gold masters had put people in to participate.

Wei Shuo played with his phone and snacked on sunflower seeds out of boredom, while Shen Ci started to feel drowsy.

His head nodded ever so slightly, almost leaning completely on Lu Xiao’s shoulder.

Lu Xiao lowered his head to look at Shen Ci, calculating that when he nodded off and leaned his head on him, he would logically pull him into his arms to sleep.

“Eh? Why is it Bai Ziwei!”

Wei Shuo casually glanced at the stage then shouted in a shocked whisper.

Shen Ci was awakened by his shout. Blinking, he sat up, looking at the stage. “Huh? Who?”

The temperature around him seemed to drop suddenly. Wei Shuo shivered inexplicably and muttered, “What the h*ll….”

But he was so upset that he didn’t care, “Wasn’t Bai Ziwei’s contract terminated before? How is he performing here?”

Shen Ci was equally puzzled. He had heard about Bai Ziwei’s contract termination from Wei Shuo. Perhaps Bai Ziwei had managed to sign with another entertainment company through connections with Shao Jinhuan.

Fortunately, Lu Xiao had listened to his words the last time and just terminated the contract.

He looked discreetly at Lu Xiao and probably because he had met his nemesis, the main character again, he looked expressionless, and not happy.

Shen Ci sighed in his heart.

On the stage, Bai Ziwei had just appeared, dressed in a simple white shirt and clothing. His makeup was light, and his youthful appearance had a touch of familiarity that anyone with keen eyes could discern.

Wei Shuo was furious: “D*mn, he’s copying your style from the last time that became so popular?!”

Shen Ci was a bit speechless. Did it have to be like this?

Bai Ziwei held the microphone and began to sing, his voice fresh and gentle, complemented by the guitar. It sounded quite pleasant. Many in the audience who weren’t familiar with the entertainment industry swayed and nodded along, and there was a lot of applause, creating a harmonious atmosphere.

Wei Shuo sneered as he watched Bai Ziwei on stage, finding him increasingly unpleasant to look at.

During the instrumental interlude, Bai Ziwei finally had a chance to take a breather and observe his surroundings.

This charity auction was attended by many celebrities and socialites, and it was possible for aspiring small stars to network here and potentially rise to fame by getting close to the children of wealthy families.

Therefore, not many people had the opportunity to perform on this stage. Many had fought tooth and nail for it without success, while he had secured it effortlessly.

Albeit with some compromise with his new company’s greasy boss. But he had achieved his goal.

Hmph, he just wanted Shao Jinhuan to know that even if he didn’t want to help, he could still follow the original plot and secure his position! He had fantasized more than once about Shao Jinhuan begging for forgiveness and reconciling with him on his knees, and every time he did, it made him so happy.

Furthermore, he had heard that Shen Ci had never had the chance to perform here. In the end, a cannon fodder was still a cannon fodder. This time, no one could steal his spotlight!

Just thinking about it made him want to burst out laughing.

As the stage lights slowly moved and illuminated the audience, the faces in the front row became clear and Bai Ziwei was excited to see Lu Xiao!

He had probably come here after hearing that he was to perform and had come to support him.

However beside him… why was it Shen Ci again?!
