Chapter 28.2

After the meal, Lu Ye left with an enthusiastic Qiao Yuan.

Once they were gone, Fu Shen picked up the little toy in an extremely natural way and handed it to Tang Zhou.

Tang Zhou raised an eyebrow, “What’s the meaning of this?”

Fu Shen’s expression was sincere: “It won’t fit in my room, so can senior keep it for me?”

He looked up at him with a handsome face, his eyes showing no traces of acting. If Tang Zhou didn’t know that what he was saying was an excuse, he might have been fooled.

“The toy is small, you can squeeze it in.” Tang Zhou deliberately refused, just to see what else Fu Shen would say.

Fu Shen smiled, and his amber eyes seemed to reflect only the figure of Tang Zhou, as if there was room in his heart and eyes for only this person.

“Lonely toys need a friend, can you help it find one?” Fu Shen said.

Tang Zhou couldn’t help but smile, “I’ll accept it reluctantly.”

He took the soft toy, entered his bedroom, and placed it next to the small whale and the big brown bear.

The three toys had vastly different sizes and were made of different materials, but together they looked very harmonious.

Perhaps it was because they were all related to the same person.

Tang Zhou closed the cabinet door gently and returned to the living room.

In the living room, Fu Shen was already sitting at the table, holding a few sheets of draft paper. Under Tang Zhou’s meaningful gaze, he remained unfazed and asked, “Is senior free now?”

Tang Zhou grabbed a chair and sat next to him, “Which ones aren’t you able to do?”

Fu Shen pulled out a draft of paper with a handwritten question on it.

Tang Zhou looked at it. Isn’t it simple?

He felt that Fu Shen was teasing him, but when he met Fu Shen’s eager to learn eyes, he reluctantly wrote down the formula and finally got the answer: 522.

“Is this a middle school question?” Tang Zhou had an expression that said, ‘Are you insulting my intelligence?’

Fu Shen smiled, “It’s not difficult, but the number 522 is somewhat special.”

The light cast a gentle glow on his brows and eyes.

“Oh?” Tang Zhou only knew that 520 was somewhat special.

Fu Shen stared at him, his gaze as deep as ink.

“It’s 1314 in hexadecimal 11314 is a homophonic pronunciation of ‘一世一世’ which roughly translates to — Being with you and loving you forever.”

Tang Zhou was stunned.

In the quiet living room, only the sound of his heart beating remained in his ears as he was suddenly speechless, then as if he had been scorched by Fu Shen’s eyes, turned his face away.

After a while, he regained his composure and said somewhat irritably, “You can’t even solve such a simple problem. Pay more attention in class from now on.”

Fu Shen’s smile deepened. “En, I got it.”

He was slowly testing Tang Zhou’s limits, and in the process was pleasantly surprised to find that Tang Zhou wasn’t disgusted.

But he still couldn’t be certain whether he really wasn’t disgusted or if it was because he was sympathising and tolerating him.

The ambiguous atmosphere made Tang Zhou a little uncomfortable and he attempted to change the subject, “Fu Shen, if the project goes smoothly, how long do you estimate it will take?”

Fu Shen’s answer was decisive, “Within a year.”

Tang Zhou sighed inside. This would be two or three years earlier than in his dream.

In his dream, after Deep Blue’s strong rise, Fu Shen had begun his revenge plan.

He couldn’t help but ask, “What are your plans after the project succeeds?”

Fu Shen didn’t even think about it, “Starting the next project.”

“And what else?”

“And….” Fu Shen’s expression was serious, “There’s something very important I want to do.”

Tang Zhou nodded seriously, “I’ll help you.”

If, by that time, the Sheng family still hadn’t dealt with Qiao Chengan, he would help Fu Shen.

For a brief moment, confusion flickered in Fu Shen’s eyes, then after carefully studying Tang Zhou’s expression, he was certain that Tang Zhou must have misunderstood.

“How will you help?” He asked cautiously.

Tang Zhou didn’t hesitate at all, “By providing whatever you need.”

Fu Shen’s heart was hit, as he thought to himself, ‘How can he be so sweet?’

He was afraid that if they continued, he might not be able to resist taking a bite, so he said, “Senior, let’s leave it at this one question for tonight. I’m going back to my room first.”

“Okay.”

The moment Fu Shen got inside his room, he couldn’t get Tang Zhou’s expression and words out of his mind, and he couldn’t focus on his book at all.

Lost in thought, he found himself smiling unconsciously.

A message notification startled him and he picked his phone up casually.

[Tang Zhou]: Call me when you’re about to take a bath tonight.

[Fu Shen]: I can do it myself.

After replying, he quickly changed the contact name.

[Sweet Porridge]: Oh. 2I’ve changed ‘Porridge Tang’ to ‘Sweet Porridge’ because it suits more

He chose this name because Tang Zhou had used this username when he had looked for Mi Shu online to investigate him.

He thought it was quite fitting.

[Fu Shen]: But I do have a favor to ask.

[Sweet Porridge]: Go on.

[Fu Shen]: You know that when developing a game, it’s essential to understand the players’ preferences. Both Liang Cheng and I are longtime players of ‘Chivalry’, so our subjective experience with the game has made it challenging for us to develop new games.

[Sweet Porridge]: So?

[Fu Shen]: Could you, as a new player, help us by experiencing the game and sharing your feedback?

This request was real, but he could have asked someone else. The reason he wanted Tang Zhou to experience it was to let him feel the joy of the game.

He remembered that Tang Zhou had a great time playing in the dorm at that time. Unfortunately, after that Tang Zhou didn’t actively engage with games but continued to focus on work.

He didn’t want him to be confined to busy work and have no room for fun.

[Sweet Porridge]: But I don’t know how to play.

Fu Shen smiled at the response and decisively went to his bedroom door, knocking on the door.

The sound of slippers shuffling on the floor sounded, and then the door opened, revealing that handsome face.

“What is it?”

Fu Shen looked up at him, “I’ve come to teach you.”

[Love Interest Pursuit Strategy 2: Acting a bit silly can elicit the other person’s tenderness, but don’t overdo it. To win the other person’s interest and attention, you have to showcase your strengths, shine in your own light, and make the other person genuinely admire you.]

He had already sought Tang Zhou’s guidance on questions, so now of course it was time to make Tang Zhou happy in his own area of expertise.
