Chapter 34.2

Tang Zhou had never been to Deep Blue since its establishment.

When Tang Zhou arrived, Pi Xiu was just coming out of the pantry with a cup of water and seeing him, Pi Xiu’s eyes widened, “Tang Shen, why are you here!”

The others, engrossed in their work, suddenly looked up.

There were some Tang Zhou knew, some he didn’t.

Li Fengyu waved, “Tang Shen, are you here for Shen Ge? There’s a machine malfunctioning inside, Shen Ge is fixing it.”

As soon as he finished saying this, Fu Shen came out from an inner room, his hands dusted with ash, held flat against his chest.

Seeing Tang Zhou, his footsteps paused, then he said calmly, “I’ll go to the restroom first.”

Pi Xiu chuckled, “Maybe Tang Shen can wait in Shen Ge’s office?”

Tang Zhou nodded and walked towards Fu Shen’s office with a cool demeanor.

Compared to the office in his dream, this one was much more modest and cramped.

On the office desk there was a laptop, with several stacks of files on either side. A smartphone had been put on the desk casually, probably hastily put there by Fu Shen because of the sudden malfunction of the machine.

Tang Zhou’s emotions slowly climbed halfway up the slope.

—He didn’t intentionally not reply.

The office door opened from the outside and Fu Shen entered, closing it neatly behind him.

“Sorry for not replying in time, the machine broke down just now.”

Tang Zhou, expressionless: “If you didn’t reply, then you didn’t reply.”

He didn’t come here because of this.

Fu Shen, seeing his little awkwardness smiled, “So President Tang is here to inspect the work?”

“No.” Tang Zhou leaned back in his chair, looking up at him, “Summer is here, I came to invite you all out for swimming.”

Fu Shen: ?

Tang Zhou said seriously, “You all sit for long periods without exercise, it’s not sustainable. Swimming can help exercise the body.”

Fu Shen looked at his evasive eyes, laughter spilling from his throat.

Even him lying was cute.

“To a swimming pool?”

Tang Zhou pursed his lips, “I have a house in the north district, it has a swimming pool.”

“When?”

“You decide.”

“Then tomorrow, it’s the weekend.”

Tang Zhou didn’t care either way, “Okay.”

Propping his hands on the desk, Fu Shen leaned forward closer to him, his eyes deep and dark, “President Tang came here just to say this?”

Wasn’t a phone call more convenient than a personal visit?

Tang Zhou, feeling his ears burn under his gaze, suddenly stood up, “You be busy, I’ll leave first.”

Putting his hand on his shoulder, Fu Shen pushed him back into the chair, his other hand holding the chair’s back, caging him.

Tang Zhou was so shocked that he forgot to move.

“I haven’t replied to your message yet.” Fu Shen let go of his shoulder and picked up the phone.

Typing one character, he looked at Tang Zhou, typed another character, then looked at Tang Zhou again.

Like a wolf afraid its prey might escape, watching the trapped lamb closely.

Tang Zhou only felt like he was in a confined space, unable to move or speak, his heart racing to his throat, about to suffocate the next second.

Suddenly a message notification rang out, shattering the thick air, giving Tang Zhou a chance to breathe.

Under Fu Shen’s gaze, he slowly pulled out his phone.

[Fu Shen]: What you like, I like too.

Blood rushing to his head, Tang Zhou’s face quickly turned red like an unripe cherry waiting to be picked by someone who cared.

Fu Shen leaned close to his ear, “What do you want to eat tonight?”

Tang Zhou’s voice was as soft as a mosquito’s, “Don’t you know what I like?”

“I want to hear you say it.” His warm breath brushed past the sensitive spot behind Tang Zhou’s ear.

Tang Zhou suddenly lifted his head, looking straight into Fu Shen’s eyes, “I didn’t used to like sweets.”

Fu Shen’s eyes flickered, “And now?”

Tang Zhou, with clear eyes, said softly, “Fu Shen, since I was a child, I’ve always hoped it would be just my father, mother, and me at home. I don’t like the idea of a fourth or fifth person. Do you understand what I mean?”

Fu Shen straightened up, his gaze more serious than ever.

“I understand.”

“Fu Shen.” Tang Zhou’s eyes misted with a layer of water.

“Do you like me?”

Fu Shen’s chest exploded with emotion and he had to use all his strength to restrain himself from acting rashly.

His eyes were red, his voice hoarse.

“I like you.”

He had liked him for a long time.

How could he not?

Unable to control his surging emotions, a foolish smile appeared on his handsome face as he stared at Tang Zhou unblinkingly, like a clueless, silly dog.

Tang Zhou felt a sweet sensation continuously welling up in his heart and standing up impulsively, he wrapped his arms around Fu Shen’s back, his hair brushing close to Fu Shen’s neck, the tickling sensation instantly spreading through Fu Shen’s blood and marrow.

Fu Shen stood there dazedly, just looking down at the young man.

The young man’s eyes curved, meeting his gaze as he said softly, “Now, I want to eat sweets with you.”

Fu Shen’s heart was already overly sweet, even before eating any dessert.

“Then tonight, I’ll make sweet and sour pork ribs, sweet and sour pork loin, sweet and sour shrimp, sweet and sour lotus root, sweet…”

“Too greasy.”

Fu Shen chuckled softly.

“En, I’ll listen to you.”
