Chapter 26.2

Editor: Jodi

This was Tang Zhou’s first time entering Fu Shen’s room. The room was neat and tidy, the sheets neatly folded.

Tang Zhou was walking over to the closet when his wrist was suddenly caught by Fu Shen’s grip.

It was as if his amber eyes were reflecting deep pools, and his hand that held his wrist clearly wasn’t applying much force, but it was taut.

“Sorry.” His bangs hung low on his forehead, the commiseration mirroring that of his expression.

Tang Zhou froze, “Why are you apologizing?”

A hint of grievance appeared in Fu Shen’s eyes, “I made you unhappy.”

Tang Zhou: “….” If I’m unhappy then what are you feeling aggrieved for?

He tried to pull his wrist free, but wasn’t successful.

“It has nothing to do with you.” Tang Zhou shook his arm, signaling for him to let go.

Fu Shen let go slowly, his brows furrowing as he lowered his gaze, and although he didn’t say anything, it still made people feel that he was sad.

Tang Zhou was feeling guilty, so even though he knew he was putting on an act, he still explained, “I’m just blaming myself.”

Fu Shen didn’t understand and lifted his head only to see Tang Zhou’s somewhat evasive eyes.

“Blaming yourself for what?”

Tang Zhou no longer hid it, “I shouldn’t have convinced you to join the competition.”

It seemed like after meeting he and Lu Ye, nothing good ever happened to Fu Shen.

Fu Shen was completed surprised, “I joined willingly, and the injury was accidental. It has nothing to do with you.”

He had no idea that Tang Zhou thought this way at all.

If there was something he didn’t want to do, then no matter what others said, it wouldn’t work.

On the court, the moment he saw Tang Zhou lose his cool as he stood up, no one knew how happy he had been.

There was a struggle in Tang Zhou’s eyes, “You were unwilling in the beginning.”

It was he who had been selfish, that was why he helped Lu Ye convince Fu Shen, and maybe Fu Shen had had no choice but to agree because of his investment.

Much like how he had to agree to be his assistant.

The aloof Tang Shen remained completely oblivious to this tangled internal struggle, something he had never experienced before.

Sensing this subtle difference, Fu Shen was really surprised, then a sense of excitement and anticipation grew deep within him, as if he had spotted the entrance to a treasure trove, holding untold wealth within arm’s reach.

He looked at Tang Zhou, his eyes profound and deep, saying half-serious and half-jokingly, “It’s precisely because it’s you, that’s why I was willing.”

The ambiguous words seemed half true and half false, leaving Tang Zhou frozen. His heartbeat paused momentarily, and there was a mix of panic, fear, and bewilderment, but disgust and resistance were conspicuously absent.

With a slightly flushed face, he pretended not to understand, “Oh.”

Meeting Fu Shen’s smiling eyes, he quickly averted his gaze, “I just remembered something, you can get your clothes. I’m going back to my room.”

Running away.

A light laugh escaped Fu Shen’s lips.

Twisting an ankle for a flustered Tang Shen in return, it was a pretty good deal.

In a cheerful mood, he took his clothes to wash up. But just as he reached the bathroom door, the fleeing Tang Shen made a U-turn.

Facing his confused expression, Tang Zhou said awkwardly, “The bathroom floor can be slippery, so it’s inconvenient for you with your injured ankle. I’ll help you.”

With him lending a hand, Fu Shen indeed found it much easier.

His single arm rested on the young man’s slim shoulder, almost enveloping Tang Zhou in a hug. Tilting his head slightly, he could feel the soft strands of the young man’s hair against his cheek.

And in that tangle of hair, his delicate and exquisite jade-white ear seemed a bit redder, and whether it was from the exertion or shyness, he couldn’t tell.

Fu Shen found himself getting closer, and almost involuntarily caught a whiff of the fragrance of his shampoo, and unexpectedly, his exhale tickled Tang Zhou’s ear, causing his ear to twitch.

Fu Shen: So cute.

Tang Zhou steadied him, “Call me when you’re done washing. I’ll step out first.”

“Wait.” A warm palm closed around his wrist, the tall young man’s smile particularly handsome, “I forgot the towel. It’s in the third compartment on the left.”

Tang Zhou seemed to feel a brief warmth from Fu Shen’s touch and retracted his hand reflexively, “En.”

He quickly put on his aloof facade again, expressionless as he fetched a towel for Fu Shen. However, he paused at the door.

In the bathroom, Fu Shen was undressing with his back to him, the red jersey halfway off, revealing his strong and lean waist and beautiful back muscles.

Compared to Tang Zhou’s slender physique, Fu Shen’s body truly fit the definition of a man.

Even though he was two years younger, he didn’t look it at all.

Fu Shen tossed the jersey into the laundry bin and turned slightly. His six-pack abs were exposed without any cover, his broad chest muscles flowing smoothly, and his collarbones prominent on both sides, straight and distinctive.

Tang Zhou wanted to look away, but his gaze unconsciously lingered on them.

With a smile, Fu Shen extended his arm, “Senior, can you pass me the towel? Thank you.”

Tang Zhou handed it to him with a wooden expression then left the bathroom, still looking wooden.

He felt a bit off. He was unexpectedly captivated by another guy’s body?

Did he really like the same gender?

That didn’t make sense either.

He often swam with Lu Ye and Qiao Yuan, and Lu Ye’s body wasn’t bad, but his heart had never raced like this before.

Sitting on the sofa with his mind wandering, Tang Zhou rubbed his face, trying to chase away the image of Fu Shen from earlier.

He tried to convince himself.

According to the dream, he had been in his thirties, always busy with work and had been looking for someone he liked who liked him back, that was why he had never been in love. Even pleasuring himself was something rare.

Energy had never been released before, so getting swayed by a man was normal.

Maybe he should find some resources just to let off some steam.

Tang Zhou was a man of action, because he immediately went to the bedroom and searched online, but couldn’t find anything sensible.

He had heard Lu Ye talk about something called ‘seed seed’ before, so why wasn’t it here now?

Internet censorship was too strong.

Even while looking for resources, Tang Zhou didn’t forget to pay attention to the movement next door.

However after twenty minutes, Fu Shen still hadn’t made a sound.

Tang Zhou knew Fu Shen’s daily habits, and his showers never took more than twenty minutes.

Had he slipped in the bathroom?

Tang Zhou quickly got up from the bed, went to Fu Shen’s room, and saw that the bathroom door was still tightly closed. He couldn’t help but go closer and call, “Fu Shen.”

A muffled groan suddenly echoed.

It fell into his ear through the closed door.

Hoarse, burning, carrying the relief of shedding a heavy burden, and deep.

Tang Zhou’s mind went blank, standing stiffly outside the door.
