Chapter 36.1

Editor: Jodi

Tang Zhou’s voice carried a hint of cold clarity, echoing beside the tranquil pool, resembling a type of celestial music coming from a distant sea, captivating and enthralling.

Fu Shen felt as if his chest was about to burst, and he used all his self-control in order to avoid making a reckless move.

The young man in the water was obviously not aware of the danger as he reached out to wipe away the droplet on his nose, his eyes curving in a smile, his pale skin gleaming dazzlingly under the colored lights.

Fu Shen caught his hand, brought his fingertips to his lips, and sipped the water off them gently.

There was no expression on his face, but his eyes, deep as secluded pools, seemed to swallow all light, their depth startling.

Tang Zhou’s fingertips trembled, the softness of his touch searing into his heart instantly.

The person in front of him looked so tough, unexpectedly he had such a soft side to him.

“I’m going to change.” The corners of Fu Shen’s lips rose in a light smile as he let go of his hand and turned to walk down the corridor.

When Fu Shen’s figure disappeared around the corner, Tang Zhou couldn’t help but touch his chest, the beating that came from it like a war drum, echoing for a thousand miles.

But he waited for a long time.

Tang Zhou couldn’t understand why it was taking Fu Shen so long to change, and by the time he came back to the poolside, he was nearly asleep.

The sound of footsteps startled him, and he looked up.

And saw broad shoulders and a narrow waist, tall and slender, the figure’s wheat-colored skin smooth and delicate, his muscles well-defined, lines exceptionally fluid and sharp.

Then the figure leaped up and plunged into the emerald waters, his agile form like a dragon emerging from the sea, stirring a series of tumultuous waves.

Tang Zhou leaned against the poolside, quietly admiring the view with a faint smile on his face.

Fu Shen swam back and forth then rested on the other side then Tang Zhou took the initiative to go to him, however Fu Shen started swimming again.

Why did it feel as if…. he was avoiding him?

A question mark popped up in Tang Zhou’s mind.

He had clearly been flirting with him just moments ago but now he was “discarding him like a used shoe”. Could it be that something had happened when he was changing?

With doubts in his heart, Tang Zhou naturally had to ask Fu Shen so it could clear his doubts.

He dived underwater and following Fu Shen’s swimming path, intercepted him midway with a direct approach.

“Why did it take you so long to change clothes?”

Fu Shen’s gaze was calm as he wiped the water from his face, “I was taking care of something.”

“Do I look like I’m that easy to fool?” Tang Zhou asked coldly.

Fu Shen, helpless, sighed, “Are you tired?”

“Don’t change the subject.”

“I really was taking care of something.”

Fu Shen really didn’t have the face to tell him what he had actually been doing in the washroom.

He had ended up riling himself up while trying to flirt.

And now that that fire hadn’t gone down, he was really worried that Tang Zhou would notice that something was amiss and get scared.

Tang Zhou, seeing Fu Shen’s evasive gaze and reluctance to look at him, couldn’t help but think wildly: Could it be that after Fu Shen had seen his body he had lost interest and was now regretting it?

It wasn’t unheard of.

Some people might like the same sex for their personality but just not feel any attraction to their body.

Fu Shen wasn’t this type of person right?

The more Tang Zhou thought about it, the more skewed his thoughts became, and the more he thought about it, the more suspicious he became, and in the end he glared at Fu Shen who was feeling helpless and left the pool in a sullen mood.

Fu Shen: “….”

He wanted to follow, but looking down, it really wasn’t a good idea.

Tang Zhou, after showering, lay on his bed and looked at his arms and legs. Although his muscles weren’t as pronounced as Fu Shen’s, they weren’t unattractive, right?

He pulled out his phone, intending to discuss with Ai Mo.

[Tang Zhou]: Excuse me for asking, but how many boyfriends have you had?

[Ai Mo]: It took a lot of hard work to finally find one, but he turned out to be a scumbag!

[Tang Zhou]: …. Are they hard to find?

[Ai Mo]: You don’t know?! In our circle, it’s like a sea of 0s and hardly any 1s to rely on! Finding one is already quite an achievement!

[Tang Zhou]: ?

He really didn’t understand this jargon.

[Ai Mo]: Tang Shen, it’s normal for you not to understand since you haven’t been exposed to it. Do you know what 1s and 0s mean?

[Tang Zhou]: Arabic numerals? Code?

[Ai Mo]: ….

[Ai Mo]: Then do you know what Gong and Shou mean?

[Tang Zhou]: ?

[Ai Mo]: Didn’t you watch the movie! The one who tops is called Gong, which is 1, and the one who bottoms is called Shou, which is 0. There are more 0s than 1s in our circle.

[Tang Zhou]: ….

[Ai Mo]: How come Tang Shen is suddenly interested in my love life? Could it be that you’re planning to set me up with a boyfriend?!

[Tang Zhou]: How do you distinguish between 1 and 0?

[Ai Mo]: It depends on whether you want to be on top or bottom.

[Tang Zhou]: …..

He had never really thought about this before.

He did have feelings for Fu Shen, but the idea of crushing Fu Shen under him hadn’t crossed his mind. He just felt comfortable being with him.

But what about Fu Shen? Beyond holding his hand, he hadn’t shown any clear intentions.

They had flirted a little, but there was no physical advance.

It couldn’t be that they were the same type right?!

[Ai Mo]: Tang Shen, you’re not in some situation, right? Is it with Fu Xiao Ge? Heh heh heh.

[Tang Zhou]: Thanks for the clarification. Goodbye.

Daytime thoughts lead to nighttime dreams, because that night, Tang Zhou had a dream.

He dreamt that he was swimming in an endless sea and that nearby, a giant ship approached slowly. He swam towards it quickly, and seeing a person standing on the deck, used all his strength to leap out of the water, trying to catch the person’s attention, to save himself from the vast ocean.

The person, hearing the noise, turned around amidst Tang Zhou’s anticipation.

It was Fu Shen!

Tang Zhou jumped up out of the water repeatedly, trying to speak but unable to say anything.

Fu Shen approached the railing with a raised eyebrow, smiling gently, “You this little fish, you’re really cute.”

He reached his hand out, and through some unknown magic, Tang Zhou left the sea and landed in his palm.

From then on he was kept in a fish tank where he was fed every day.

However he couldn’t remain a fish forever. He had to become human!

And perhaps because of his strong desire, one day, as Fu Shen was feeding him, he transformed into a human in front of Fu Shen and then pounced on him.

But then he heard Fu Shen say in a pampering voice: “No, you’re a fish, we can’t do this. Let’s keep it platonic.”

Tang Zhou woke up in shock, the last sentence still echoing in his mind.

[Let’s keep it platonic.]

And because of this sentence, he didn’t really sleep well for the rest of the night.
