Chapter 51.3

Editor: Jodi

When Uncle Fang brought back the report, Tang Zhihua’s hands trembled as he took it. Then seeing the results, he felt his heart plunge into a bottomless pit.

He stared at it, then suddenly laughed bitterly.

“Foolish! So foolish!”

Uncle Fang said immediately, “Chairman, you have to pull yourself together. The company can’t go on without you!”

Tang Zhihua’s dull eyes suddenly sparked. “Yes! The company! How is the company?”

Uncle Fang: “……”

He was really confused—why bring up the company?! Given its current state, telling the Chairman would only make him feel worse!

After him having been by his side for so long, Tang Zhihua could see his hesitation, and so felt as if a massive stone was crushing his chest, pressing down painfully.

“Speak! What’s happened?”

Uncle Fang didn’t dare to hide the truth, “After you fainted, the company… descended into chaos.”

What kind of chaos it was, even if Uncle Fang didn’t say it, Tang Zhihua could still imagine it.

He wanted to pull the company back together, however he no longer had the strength.

He closed his eyes, and after a long pause, asked hoarsely, “Has Tang Zhen woken up?”

“He has.”

“Has he seen the paternity test?”

Uncle Fang hesitated. “The doctors said he still needs rest and shouldn’t be provoked too much.”

“Then wait a little longer.”

However, Tang Zhen had his own stubbornness. Even lying in bed, his mind was filled with thoughts of his lover and son.

And not seeing his lover come to visit him, he thought the old man was blocking her from coming in, and so he secretly called his sketchy friends to pass along a message.

Those so-called “friends” lived up to their reputation, as they mocked him directly over the phone.

Because with the Tang family’s inevitable downfall, they didn’t feel any need to show Tang Zhen any respect.

And hearing the truth, Tang Zhen passed out again.

The Tang family was a tangled mess.

*

Tang Zhou had visited the hospital when Tang Zhihua was unconscious but hadn’t gone back since the old man woke up.

With the Tang Group now in turmoil, it was the perfect opportunity for him to act.

In the past, he had waited for others to hand things to him, but now, he wanted to seize them with his own ability.

Piece by piece, he quietly acquired Tang Group’s shares, reaching out privately to some of the shareholders. As the stock price plummeted, he moved quickly to buy in.

Watching the Tang Group on the verge of collapse, these shareholders, wanting to avoid risk, sold off their shares before they could hit a new low.

These older shareholders had watched Tang Zhou grow up, so after making their deal with him, they couldn’t help but sigh, “The younger generation is indeed formidable.”

While some of them felt that his methods were a bit ruthless, they still held a bit of admiration for him.

Tang Zhihua knew that many shareholders were selling off their stakes. He wanted to buy them back, however with Tang Group so weakened, he simply couldn’t manage it. He could only watch helplessly as the shares were sold.

And they were sold to Tang Zhou.

He had no choice but to call Tang Zhou.

“Ah Zhou, what are you trying to do?”

Tang Zhou was flipping through a new script by Ai Mo calmly, and so answered absentmindedly, “What do you mean, ‘what are you trying to do’?”

“Your massive buyout of the Tang Group’s shares—what are you trying to achieve?” Tang Zhihua’s voice was worn and frail.

Tang Zhou chuckled. “Grandfather, if you want the Tang Group to go bankrupt, I can sit back and watch.”

His acquisition of Tang Group was partly to expand his own market and partly to save some dignity for the old man.

At the very least, he still bore the Tang name and wouldn’t let the old man watch as the Tang Group perished or changed hands.

However if the old man had any objections to this, then he had no issue with it.

Tang Zhihua: “….”

At this point, he finally saw the truth. Even without Tang Zhen and Tang Tianyang, the Tang Group would eventually follow in Hua Yue’s footsteps.

So he gave in.

It was better for the Tang Group to continue for fifty more years than for it to collapse now.

*

It was June, and the business world in Jiang City was once again stirred up.

The Tang Group held a board meeting and selected a new chairman—Tang Zhou.

And not long after taking office, Tang Zhou started working on merging Hua Yue and the Tang Group. The merger was structured as an absorption, with Hua Yue absorbing the Tang Group into one entity, making Tang Zhou the top leader.

After the merger, Tang Zhihua could only retire at home. As for Tang Zhen, after the betrayals of both his lover and the realization that his beloved son wasn’t his own, he became a bit withdrawn.

And to make things worse, he had lost the ability to have children.

Even if he wanted to have another child, it was impossible.

The son he cherished wasn’t his own, and his real son was as distant as a stranger. During his time recovering, he really understood the saying, “You reap what you sow”.

After the merger, Tang Zhou threw himself back into his work, and under his leadership, the newly formed Hua Yue began to soar again.

At the same time, Deep Blue Tech’s long-awaited online game “Star Wars” was finally launched!

Set in a futuristic interstellar background with an expansive and breathtaking world, the game’s concept not only resonated with C Country’s gamers, but also attracted international players.

During the beta phase, the game had already won over a crowd of eager fans.

As soon as it launched, those who had missed the beta testing were itching to play, hurriedly signing up and logging in.

The vast and beautiful universe, the mysterious and colorful nebulae, and the unique planets unfolded like a grand interstellar epic before the players.

Tang Zhou, who was sitting on Fu Shen’s lap, logged into the game and was struck by its visuals.

A rush of excitement filled him, and he put down the mouse to turn and kiss Fu Shen.

“It’s amazing.”

Fu Shen responded with a deep kiss, his eyes glowing as he leaned close and said, “Baby, create a character first, and then let’s get married in the game.”

Tang Zhou was surprised. “You really added a same-sex marriage feature?”

Fu Shen kissed the top of his head.

“I remembered what you asked for.”

With a futuristic interstellar setting, anything was possible.

The success of Star Wars catapulted Deep Blue Tech into the industry spotlight.

Those who once sneered at Tang Zhou’s “narrow vision” now had to eat their words. What they had dismissed as a small university project had exploded into a phenomenon, making many green with envy.

And now owning the Hua Yue Group and being a shareholder in Deep Blue, Tang Zhou quickly became a hot topic again.

Young, with an immeasurable fortune, he was the ultimate eligible bachelor!

The Du family, an old business giant with no suitable heir, now faced a downturn and shamelessly approached Tang Zhihua, suggesting a marriage alliance.

Tang Zhihua only replied with five words: “I can’t control him.”

Then he shut the door, refusing any further meetings.

Watching Tang Zhou revive the Hua Yue Group and his young boyfriend establish Deep Blue Tech, Tang Zhihua knew he could no longer stand in their way.
