Chapter 56.1

Editor: Princess

He couldn’t even think about going any further.

Fu Shen hadn’t planned to go this far, but the moment he kissed Tang Zhou, his rationality collapsed completely.

And with Tang Zhou being so obedient and cooperative, he just followed his instincts and brought him to the bed.

Now, with this bucket of cold water dumped over his head, he sobered up, staring down at Tang Zhou whose eyes were tinged red, his lips like a blooming rose.

His hand was still resting on Tang Zhou’s smooth, porcelain-like skin, and Tang Zhou’s shirt was unbuttoned, revealing a stretch of pale, glowing skin.

Fu Shen struggled to move away. Even though he was unbearably aroused, he didn’t dare to touch Tang Zhou again, not even daring a glance.

Tang Zhou was also a little frustrated by the sudden stop, but there was no helping it. There was nothing prepared at home, and if they rushed into it, especially with this being Fu Shen’s first time, something could easily go wrong.

He slowly buttoned up his pajamas, pulled the blanket over himself, and said in a hoarse voice, “Let’s sleep.”

Fu Shen lay there stiffly, torn between blaming himself for losing control and replaying everything that had just happened in his head, like his mind was being split in two, each half pulling in a different direction.

Hearing Tang Zhou’s voice, he instinctively turned to look, only to suddenly realize that Tang Zhou was lying on his bed…

Of course, he wouldn’t kick Tang Zhou out. If anyone was leaving, it would be him.

He got up, stepping off the bed, however before he could take a step, Tang Zhou’s voice floated over from behind him. “Where are you going?”

Swallowing, he responded, “To the study.”

“It’s so late. What are you going to the study for?”

“I still have some work to do.”

Tang Zhou suddenly said, “My lips hurt a little, could it be that you bit them?”

Fu Shen immediately turned around and bent down to check.

However before he could react, Tang Zhou reached out and hooked his arms around his neck, his eyes glistening, voice husky as he murmured, “Stay and sleep with me.”

Fu Shen froze in place, not saying a word.

Pouting, Tang Zhou whined, “Please?”

In the end, Fu Shen couldn’t resist. He climbed back into the bed obediently, sticking to the very edge, keeping as much distance as possible.

“Turn off the light.”

He reached out and switched off the light.

“I’m a little cold.”

He fumbled around for the remote, planning to turn on the heater.

However before he could, a cool, smooth hand reached out from under the blanket and took hold of his.

He froze on the spot.

A slightly cool body pressed up against him, soft hair brushing against his shoulder, a faint fragrance drifting into his nose.

His chest instantly felt like it had been set on fire.

Then, he heard Tang Zhou’s voice whispering by his ear, “So… are we dating now? Are we a couple?”

Fu Shen thought to himself: Whatever you say.

However his lips stayed tightly shut.

In the darkness, a hand touched his cheek gently, and before he could react, the man who had completely stolen his heart was already leaning over him, letting out a soft chuckle, like an irresistible little demon.

He asked in a low voice, “Weren’t we supposed to sleep?”

If one listened closely, one would be able to hear the slight tremor in his voice.

Lowering his head, his nose brushing against Fu Shen’s, Tang Zhou whispered, “A goodnight kiss before we sleep.”

Then he leaned in and kissed Fu Shen, soft and gentle, without the slightest bit of aggression. It was more like comfort, more like lingering affection.

Fu Shen had just gotten a taste and was already hooked, so how could he possibly resist Tang Zhou’s teasing? He responded subconsciously, wrapping his arms around Tang Zhou’s back, flipping them over, and pressing him down instead.

However compared to the reckless intensity from earlier, this kiss was longer, warmer, and more tender.

It felt like, in this moment, their hearts had really been drawn closer.

When the kiss ended, Tang Zhou chuckled. “Boyfriend, let’s sleep.”

Fu Shen didn’t argue. He sighed softly in the darkness, then pulled Tang Zhou into his arms on his own accord.

No matter what Tang Zhou was thinking, no matter what would change in the morning, he just wanted to hold onto this happiness that had fallen into his lap tonight.

Tang Zhou slept soundly in Fu Shen’s arms, but Fu Shen lay awake for a long time before finally drifting off.

The next morning, Tang Zhou woke up in a warm embrace. And opening his eyes, he was greeted by a handsome sleeping face. Feeling happy, he didn’t rush to get up. Instead, he just lay there, watching Fu Shen sleep quietly.

A sudden ringtone shattered the peaceful and beautiful moment.

Fu Shen’s eyes snapped open, and he reached for his phone, only to freeze the moment he saw Tang Zhou.

His stalled brain finally rebooted, and the memories of last night came rushing back. If not for the persistent ringing in his ear, he might have thought it was all just a dream.

Seeing his dumbfounded expression, Tang Zhou chuckled. “Not answering it?”

Fu Shen quickly withdrew the arm that was holding Tang Zhou, his heart racing as he pressed the answer button.

“Shen Ge, are you still having the morning meeting?” Pi Xiu’s tired voice came through.

Fu Shen: “…What time is it?”

“Nine-thirty.”

“….”

He actually slept in this late?!

A soft laugh reached his ears. Fu Shen turned his head and saw Tang Zhou’s slightly curved eyes. Before he even realized it, he blurted out, “Move it to the afternoon.”

It was also because his driver had taken the day off, otherwise, he would have gotten a call much earlier.

Putting his phone down, he tried to act calm as he looked at Tang Zhou, “I’m going to wash up.”

“Okay.”

After they finished washing up, Fu Shen went to make breakfast. Tang Zhou followed him into the kitchen and said casually, “Can I put all my clothes in your closet?”

Fu Shen’s hand paused mid-action. His brain went through a fierce internal struggle before he finally said, “…Okay.”

No matter what Tang Zhou wanted to do, he would go along with it.

Taking advantage of the time while Fu Shen was cooking, Tang Zhou moved all his clothes into the master bedroom happily.

While sorting his clothes, he suddenly noticed a box hidden deep in the wardrobe.

It looked familiar.

He reached out, took it, and opened it—inside was a tie. The design was nice, but the craftsmanship was a bit rough.

It was the birthday gift he had given Fu Shen before.

Fu Shen had carefully stashed it away in the deepest corner.

His lips curving slightly, he placed it back where he found it.
