Chapter 50.1

Editor: Jodi

On the afternoon of the first day of the Lunar New Year, Tang Zhou and Fu Shen arrived at Jiang City Airport.

And Lu Ye and Qiao Yuan went to pick them up themselves.

“You mentioned over the phone that you wanted to come back and watch a movie, so I booked a whole screening for you and Fu Shen. Want to go?”

The film’s premiere had been well received, and Lu Ye’s heart was brimming with pride, and so his voice was full of joy.

“Alright, thanks.”

Tang Zhou accepted his gesture of goodwill.

“We’re like family.” Lu Ye said as he drove, beaming with satisfaction.

Tang Zhou watched his and Qiao Yuan’s expressions and mannerisms carefully, then understood what was going on quickly.

With both love and success in his grasp, it was no wonder he looked so smug.

Tang Zhou gave a small laugh, “Congratulations.”

Lu Ye thought he was talking about the movie, and so replied cheerfully, “You invested too, so congrats to you too.”

Tang Zhou glanced at Fu Shen who was sitting beside him with a smile in his eyes, and Fu Shen looked back at him, squeezing his hand with a tender gaze.

Lu Ye, whose eyes inadvertently flicked to the rearview mirror: “…..”

Forget it, he’d become used to this after eating dog food so many times.

The moment they got back to their place, Tang Zhou and Fu Shen unpacked, had dinner, then headed out to catch the movie.

Night had fallen, and the car’s headlights illuminated the road ahead. Tang Zhou saw a few small specks floating through the air vaguely.

Then after focusing, he couldn’t help but laugh, “It’s actually snowing.”

The tiny snowflakes danced in the air—and while they weren’t as big and as fluffy as the ones in the North, they were still enough to be a delight.

Fu Shen, however, was calm. “En.”

He was used to seeing snow since childhood, so he didn’t share Tang Zhou’s excitement.

“Fu Shen.”

“Mm?”

Tang Zhou stared at his profile as he drove with concentration. “I think I’m falling more and more in love with you.”

Fu Shen’s grip on the wheel tightened. “Baby, I’m driving.”

If it wasn’t for the fact that he was forcing himself to stay calm, he might’ve swerved right off the road.

Chuckling, Tang Zhou stopped teasing him.

In his dream, he and Fu Shen had watched this very same movie, and after they left the cinema, a light snowfall like this one had fallen.

The temperature had dropped, and he’d sneezed several times in a row from the cold.

Fu Shen had just glanced at him, said nothing, and then bought a hot drink and handed it to him.

And when his palm had touched the cup’s warmth, Tang Zhou had felt a heat that ran through his veins, warming him to his very core.

And now, here they were, watching the same movie, with a similar snow falling outside.

The only difference was that Fu Shen didn’t have to rely on just a cup of hot drink to keep him warm.

The car was parked in the underground lot, and as soon as Tang Zhou stepped out, the cold hit him, causing him to shiver.

Without a word, Fu Shen extended his hand, his broad palm wrapping around his tightly, keeping all the chill out.

“Let’s get a hot drink in a bit.” Tang Zhou said, tilting his head to lean against Fu Shen’s shoulder, his smile dazzling.

And seeing that there was no one else around in the parking lot, the passion that Fu Shen had tried hard to restrain while driving flared up again.

He stopped in his tracks, pulled the hood of Tang Zhou’s down jacket over his head, pinched the edges, then leaned down for a kiss.

Tang Zhou slipped his hands inside Fu Shen’s coat to warm them, then focused solely on the kiss.

It wasn’t known how long they’d been kissing, but when they finally heard a car engine in the distance, Fu Shen let go reluctantly, gave Tang Zhou a few more pecks, then led him into the cinema.

Because they had booked the place, the screening room was empty.

The moment they sat down, Fu Shen wasn’t able to focus on the movie, as he held one of Tang Zhou’s hands gently, playing with it in his palm.

Tang Zhou’s fingers were long and slender, his skin soft and fair, the veins on the back of his hand clearly visible, like a masterpiece carved by the finest sculptor.

When the movie started, Tang Zhou pulled his hand back, giving him a small glare. “Watch properly.”

The last time in his dream, they’d both sat with cold expressions, and Tang Zhou had felt a little regretful. He wanted to make up for it now.

Watching his cold jade escape his grasp, Fu Shen could only lift his gaze to the screen.

He had to admit, the movie was really well done, full of laughs and a subtle, dry humor that occasionally made one think.

However his thoughts weren’t really on the movie. His gaze just kept drifting back to Tang Zhou’s face.

When Tang Zhou laughed, he found himself laughing too.

When Tang Zhou didn’t smile, he didn’t either.

By the end of the movie, Tang Zhou looked satisfied, and so did he.

“What’d you think of the movie?”

Tang Zhou asked him on their way back.

“It was really good.” Fu Shen felt that any movie that could make Tang Zhou laugh like that was a good one.

“Mm, I heard that its box office and popularity are both pretty high.” As the film’s biggest investor, Tang Zhou had made a fortune this time.

Who wouldn’t be happy making money?

Fu Shen was just as happy for him and felt an even stronger drive.

His lover was so accomplished that he felt that he too, needed to achieve something soon.
