Chapter 33.1
Editor: Jodi
Tang Zhou, clutching his groggy head, sat up, and a snow-white stuffed animal rolled off him.
He picked it up and all of last night’s scenes came back to him then the next second, he buried his face in the pillow.
He had no image left to speak of in front of Fu Shen.
All those talks about whether the stuffed animal was male or female, finding it a mate, and it having a baby……
He refused to admit that he said all these things!
After despising himself for a long while, he finally pulled his face out of the pillow, grabbed the little kitty’s feet and pulled it in front of him.
But it really looked good.
He wondered where Fu Shen bought it from. If there was a chance he would ask him.
He looked at it from left to right, unable to let go and in the end, couldn’t resist lifting the kitty’s little paw stealthily, put it near his lips and kissed it.
Satisfied, he got out of bed.
Because he got up late, Fu Shen was already gone, but breakfast had been left in the kitchen.
After Tang Zhou freshened up, he began eating then turned on his phone.
He had a new email.
He clicked on it and couldn’t even bother to finish his breakfast.
[New campus heartthrob and beautiful Senior sister seen together late at night, suspected secret rendezvous.]
Tang Zhou: ….
Fu Shen had become the new campus heartthrob? Wasn’t this beautiful Senior sister the one from Fan City who participated in that competition last time? Had Fu Shen really been returning late because he was in a relationship?
Tang Zhou pursed his lips and checked the sender.
It was from an unknown account.
He wasn’t foolish. It was clear to anyone with eyes that this account that had sent him this dubious stuff was obviously trying to sow discord.
After all, Fu Shen was his “lover”.
The Tang family heir had given up his inheritance for love, only to be cheated on tragically by his lover — what a human tragedy.
If Tang Zhou and Fu Shen were really in a romantic relationship, then this email would indeed have an effect, because regardless of whether Tang Zhou believed it or not, a seed of doubt would inevitably be planted in his heart.
The sender seemed to know Tang Zhou well.
How could a person who hated infidelity from a young age tolerate a partner suspected of cheating?
Once the most important trust between lovers was gone, what awaited Tang Zhou would be loss.
Having already lost familial love, if he lost romantic love too, then he might never recover.
All of the above, were the mental journeys Tang Zhou conjured up in his mind, akin to dog blood drama plots.
Unfortunately, he and Fu Shen weren’t lovers.
Tang Zhou, the look in his eyes sinking, entered the school forum to look for that post, only to find that it had vanished.
It had probably been deleted.
He put his phone down to eat his breakfast, but suddenly it tasted bland and uninteresting.
He had to host a meeting at Hua Yue today, so he didn’t dwell on it further and drove to Hua Yue.
With Tang Zhou’s substantial financial support, Hua Yue’s near-collapse state had been reversed, rejuvenating the entire group with new vitality.
A friend had warned Zhang Si Lin, mentioning that with Tang Zhou, whose surname was Tang, wouldn’t Hua Yue eventually change its name to Tang too?
Zhang Si Lin had just smiled and remained silent.
No one could understand the despair of near bankruptct, so even if Tang Zhou’s surname was Tang, as long as he could lead the group on a new path, Zhang Si Lin wouldn’t have any objections!
Moreover the company’s stock rights had been changed and registered, so although Hua Yue was still called Hua Yue, it was essentially under Tang Zhou’s absolute control.
Thinking back on his recent interactions with Tang Zhou, Zhang Si Lin couldn’t help but admire Tang Zhou’s boldness and foresight regarding the future market.
He waited at the exclusive elevator entrance and immediately greeted Tang Zhou as soon as the elevator doors opened.
“President Tang, the meeting room is this way, please follow me.”
This was Tang Zhou’s first appearance at Hua Yue, and to avoid any mistakes, Zhang Si Lin personally led the team to welcome him.
Dressed in a deep blue suit, Tang Zhou looked tall and distinguished, his face flawless from every angle, leaving a deep impression on everyone as soon as he stepped out of the elevator.
Seeing pictures was one thing, but seeing the person in real life was another.
Pictures could be edited, but real life couldn’t.
Especially now when the real person was even more handsome than in the pictures. Almost all the ladies present screamed inside, and even the men couldn’t help but sneak a peek.
Tang Zhou gave a slight nod, “Meeting is in ten minutes.”
After he entered his office, the secretaries couldn’t contain their excitement.
“The new boss is so handsome!”
“And he’s also very young. Supposedly, he just graduated from University.”
“But he seems a bit aloof, like an ice-cold CEO.”
“I hope he’s not too difficult to get along with. The meeting is about to start, let’s get ready.”
The first meeting after Hua Yue’s stock rights change was a battle for Tang Zhou to establish his authority, for Zhang Si Lin, it was a gamble to judge whether his choice was correct and for others, it was a test to see whether their new boss was up to the task.
Tang Zhou sat in the main seat, younger than most present, but had a calm and steady demeanor nobody dared underestimate.
The others exchanged glances, realizing the legend about this “Tang Shen” wasn’t unfounded.
“Ladies and gentlemen, the decline of Hua Yue has proven that the old path is unworkable, so today’s meeting is about how Hua Yue can improve and change its development model.” Tang Zhou began.
He turned to Zhang Si Lin, “Manager Zhang, please explain to everyone.”
Zhang Si Lin nodded and stood up.
“The traditional corporate development model can’t keep up with the times. Everyone should look at the document in front of you, especially the data on page three that shows you how traditional businesses’ growth space is gradually being encroached by online products…”
He spoke as if he had rehearsed countless times, fluently and without any hesitation, concluding: “Therefore, Hua Yue will choose a new direction – the O2O model.”
This model was uncommon then, but in a few years, many declining traditional enterprises would follow suit, yet none would match those who had been the first to try.
Tang Zhou had planned to transform the Tang Group into this new model, but the old man didn’t give him the chance.
Now, with Hua Yue on the brink of collapse before him, he wouldn’t miss this opportunity.
The people in the meeting, obviously unfamiliar with this model, asked a lot of questions.
Tang Zhou answered each one, leaving them speechless.
By the end, the proposal was nearly approved unanimously, except for a few stubborn individuals.
Tang Zhou didn’t care in the slightest and delegated all tasks, displaying the decisiveness typical of a new leader taking charge.
