Chapter 53.1

Editor: Princess

Ning Sheng’s grandmother, who was traveling around the world on a cruise ship, received a message from Xu Ling’s mother—a photograph.

Overjoyed, she shared the photo in the family group chat.

Ning Sheng’s mother was equally delighted and shared the photo on her personal homepage.

Then, Ning Sheng’s mother’s business partner commented—

“Is this your child? So delicate and beautiful.” Her partner said. “My son is about the same age, and we’re perfectly matched in social status. How about in the future…”

“No, no, no, our child is a boy.” Ning Sheng’s mother typed.

However before she could reply, the airplane was about to take off, and passengers were reminded to turn on flight mode.

Ning Sheng’s mother exited her homepage, turned off her phone, and threw the matter to the back of her mind.

In Qing’an Town, the Harvest Festival market was dispersing, and the lights along the river flowed like a vast galaxy toward hundreds and thousands of homes.

“Haven’t you taken enough photos?” Ning Sheng half-opened his eyes, looking utterly lifeless.

These three troublemakers were endless, dragging him around for various poses.

“Can you lie down in the pomegranate pile?” Lu Peng asked.

Li Haoyue said, “Bite a pomegranate flower, open your mouth slightly, and give us a pure desire-style smile.”

Xu Ling retorted, “Can your thoughts be a little purer? How did such a simple place like Qing’an Town produce something like you?”

Li Haoyue replied, “Just tell me if you want to see it or not.”

“Enough!” Ning Sheng grabbed a tree branch and gave each of them a beating. “I see through all of you now.”

Xu Ling protested, “I didn’t say anything!”

“Ning Ning!” Someone called out.

Ning Sheng responded, “Hmm?”

A senior classmate whom they had previously fought with but also rescued came over, carrying a large bamboo basket on his back.

“I’m giving you a basket of newly harvested tomatoes.” The senior said. “Thank you for teaching me how to sell vegetables.”

Ning Sheng exclaimed, “Wow, so many.”

“Can I take a photo with you?” The senior asked shyly, pulling out his phone.

“You’re too late, he’s off duty.” Xu Ling responded, then scooped Ning Sheng up and run away.

Lu Peng grabbed the tomatoes and the little lamb, following closely behind.

Only Li Haoyue remained on the spot.

He picked up the senior’s phone, opened selfie mode, snapped a group photo with a click, patted the senior’s shoulder, then walked away.

Xu Ling’s stepfather’s car drove all the way back to the car wash.

“Dog Xu, help me change clothes.” Ning Sheng grabbed Xu Ling. “The headpiece is so heavy, my head feels so heavy.”

He lowered his head slightly, revealing a section of snow-white, slender neck through the fiery red collar opening. “My neck hurts a bit. Is it broken?”

Xu Ling, who had just removed the red pomegranate flower headpiece for him looked down when he heard this.

The Little Flower God’s costume had a stiff gauze collar to maintain its shape, which had rubbed a small area on the back of Ning Sheng’s neck red. The faint red mark was shaped like blooming pomegranate petals.

“It’s a bit red.” Xu Ling steadied himself.

“Then let’s take off the clothes first.” Xu Ling said. “Come to my room.”

Xu Ling’s room was on the second floor, requiring them to climb a flight of stairs.

The Pomegranate Flower God’s dress could only remain still, not move. Hence Ning Sheng pressed down on the hem as he went upstairs, which caused the golden chains to jingle all the way, the skirt hem fluttering, revealing glimpses of the fair skin on his legs beneath the dress.

Ning Sheng stood at the top of the stairs, turned around and glared at Xu Ling. “Hurry up! What are you standing there for?”

Xu Ling took a deep breath, then followed him up.

Ning Sheng was particular about cleanliness and would never sit on the bed without changing clothes.

Hence when Xu Ling reached the second floor, he saw the Little Flower God standing obediently in the room, waiting for his help.

“Aunt Xu said the inner lining zipper should be pulled slowly, or it might get stuck.” Ning Sheng told him.

Xu Ling replied, “It shouldn’t be that bad.”

Then he yanked hard and jammed the zipper.

Ning Sheng: “???”

Ning Sheng: “Are you in a hurry to undress me?”

Xu Ling: “You’re the one who’s in a hurry.”

Ning Sheng: “Even if I’m in a hurry, I didn’t tell you to yank the zipper like that!”

Ning Sheng: “Stop talking nonsense and fix it quickly!”

Xu Ling looked down and fiddled with the zipper. “Should I go ask my mom?”

“Are you crazy!” Ning Sheng said. “I’m half undressed!”

The inner lining zipper was stuck halfway, exposing a large area of bare, delicate back. The young man’s skin was clean and fair like silk with an excellent texture, and the slender outline of his spine was faintly visible.

Xu Ling suppressed his chaotic thoughts, hooked a chair over with his foot, sat down, then pressed Ning Sheng down over his lap.

Ning Sheng: “Mmm…”

His stomach hit Xu Ling’s leg, and he instinctively tried to struggle up, however his lower back was pressed down and held in place.

Xu Ling: “Don’t rush, let me fix this. It’s easier to work this way.”

The slender waist was pressed into a smooth curve. Ning Sheng struggled quite a bit, making Xu Ling’s heart tremble, so he loosened his grip slightly. “It’ll be done soon.”

“Can I just cut it directly?” He asked.

“Aunt Xu will be angry.” Ning Sheng said in response.

“This Little Flower God costume was made specifically according to your measurements.” Xu Ling told him. “Your grandmother provided your physical examination data.”

“You’re all just bullying me.” Ning Sheng said. “You’re all bullying me.”

“We’re not.” Xu Ling said. “You really are very suitable for it.”

Ning Sheng: “Don’t cut it. Aunt Xu said this is her masterpiece.”

Then he laid down quietly and stopped urging.

“Almost done, I’m about to get it out.” Xu Ling picked apart the red gauze, fixed the jammed zipper, pulled it all the way down in one go, then untied the silk ribbon that bound the outer skirt. He peeled away the red gauze, and the elaborate red dress fell to the floor.

The young man still lay obediently across his lap, his lower back slightly arched from his touch.

“Is it done?” Ning Sheng asked.

Xu Ling: “Mm.”

“This young master is about to be killed by you.” Ning Sheng said, supporting himself on Xu Ling’s leg to stand up. “My waist is about to break.”

Xu Ling: “…”

“Let me help you remove the hair extensions too.” He rummaged through boxes and drawers to find scissors.

The soft black hair wound around Xu Ling’s fingers, and he was reluctant to remove it.

The scissors picked apart the connection points, and strands of hair fell into Xu Ling’s palm.

“I’m free!” Ning Sheng, completely out of the Flower God costume, felt completely relaxed. “I’m going to take a shower.”

“Go ahead, go ahead.” Xu Ling said.

“Then find me some pajamas.” Ning Sheng said, pushing the door open and running out.

In the room, Xu Ling covered his eyes and took another deep breath.

The warm, soft sensation still lingered on his fingertips, and his nose seemed to still catch the clean, light floral and fruity fragrance from Ning Sheng’s body wash.

That slender figure under the thin gauze still appeared vaguely before his eyes.

His Little Flower God was truly beautiful.
