Chapter 63.2

Editor: Princess

“Spend your money on yourself.” Ning Sheng told him. “This young master doesn’t lack for anything.”

Ning Sheng: “Ah… lighter, lighter, it hurts.”

Xu Ling lifted the hem of Ning Sheng’s shirt. Despite living under the blazing sun of Qing’an Town, Ning Sheng’s skin remained pampered and white, clearly different from the wheat-colored townspeople.

Xu Ling’s thumb pressed against that clean stretch of lower back, forcefully circling and kneading, pressing out patches of red flush like snow reflecting rosy clouds. His fingertips gradually pressed downward, stopping at the edge of the white casual pants, near the slightly raised, shallow curve of his bottom.

Xu Ling’s hand paused at the narrow fabric edge, rubbing back and forth. The fabric didn’t completely hug the narrow waist, and because Ning Sheng was lying face-down, the waistband was slightly loose in back, revealing an extremely narrow gap. With just a light hook of his fingertip, Xu Ling could slip into the space between clothing and skin.

“Dog Xu, the maths nerd is asking if we want to go to the first dining hall.” Ning Sheng told him. “He says we can eat hotpot.”

“Great!” Xu Ling withdrew his hand and cheerfully helped Ning Sheng straighten his shirt. “Let’s go eat hotpot.”

The three of them met up at the first dining hall entrance.

Ning Sheng: “Where’s the maths nerd?”

“The maths nerd went to save seats.” Lu Peng answered.

“Princess, what’s wrong?” Lu Peng asked Ning Sheng. “You’re walking so slowly.”

When leaving, Ning Sheng had forgotten to remove the gold bracelet Xu Ling had fastened around his ankle, and Xu Ling hadn’t reminded him either.

The bracelet was somewhat heavy with a strong presence, and with every step, it swayed slightly, constantly reminding him of Xu Ling’s powerful presence.

His white casual pants were long enough to cover his ankle, so no one knew he had a several-ten-thousand-yuan trinket fastened around his ankle, but he still felt uncomfortable.

“Will it affect my growth?” Ning Sheng pulled Xu Ling over and asked in his ear, super quietly.

“It won’t.” Xu Ling consoled him. “You’re about as tall as you’re going to get.”

Ning Sheng: “???”

Ning Sheng: “Xu Dashan!”

At the dining table, the maths nerd pulled out a wet wipe to clean Ning Sheng’s hands.

“Xu Dashan has incredibly thick skin.” Ning Sheng’s palm was red.

Xu Ling bore an extremely faint handprint on his face, grinning fearlessly.

“You’ll still grow taller, we can still grow a bit more. We’re only 18.” Li Haoyue told him. “Go running with Lu Peng.”

“Right, Princess.” Lu Peng added. “Both Dog Xu and I are almost six feet tall.”

Ning Sheng: “Are you showing off?”

Xu Ling grabbed a milk-flavored bun and stuffed it in Lu Peng’s mouth.

The hotpot arrived, but it was super spicy.

“Sorry, I thought I ordered non-spicy.” The maths nerd went to ask.

“Student, the seafood pot is supposed to be spicy. It removes the fishy smell.” The busy auntie told him.

Ning Sheng couldn’t handle spicy food well.

He was a native of S City, and so preferred sweet cuisine. Usually when Lu Peng mixed pig ears for him, he used very little chili.

“Let me make you a new one.” The auntie apologized repeatedly, embarrassed. “We didn’t label it clearly.”

“There’s no need.” Ning Sheng said in response. “I want to eat spicy today.”

“Don’t pat my head.” Ning Sheng glared at Xu Ling.

Xu Ling used chopsticks to extract shellfish meat and held it out to him.

“Try this.” Xu Ling told him.

Ning Sheng bit into it, the spice making his mouth bright red and tears nearly flow down: “Wu… it’s not spicy.”

Xu Ling: “…”

“I’ll buy you a mung bean slush.” He stood up.

Xu Ling left for a few dozen seconds to swipe his card and buy the slush. When he turned back, there was a male student beside Ning Sheng.

Xu Ling: “?”

“I don’t like boys.” Ning Sheng rejected him coldly and efficiently.

Xu Ling was overjoyed, humming as he sat down, but halfway through his joy, he suddenly remembered something and banged his head on the table.

“What are you doing!” Ning Sheng was startled.

Li Haoyue smiled coldly.

All the way until evening, at the International Business 02 class meeting, Xu Ling seemed like he’d lost his soul.

“What’s wrong with you?” Ning Sheng waved his hand in front of Xu Ling’s eyes. “Who made you unhappy? I… I’ll allow you to go beat them up yourself.”

Xu Ling caught his wildly waving wrist and pressed it back onto the desk.

“Everyone, let’s do self-introductions.” The advisor started. “Starting from the back row, yes, I’m talking about you two holding hands.”

Ning Sheng: “…”

Ning Sheng’s face turned red.

News traveled fast in university. Within a day, everyone knew there was a former child star little master in the class.

Everyone perked up their ears, wanting to hear something impressive in the little master’s self-introduction, like horseback riding, golf, or eight languages.

“I’m Ning Sheng, from Qing’an Town. My specialties are… washing cars, catching pigs, and climbing trees.” Ning Sheng said.

The advisor: “?”

The whole class: “???”

Xu Ling came back to his senses, smiling slightly.

Student Ning had copied his high school self-introduction.

He actually… still remembered.

“What I hate most is self-introductions.” Ning Sheng told them.

The advisor: “…”

The whole class applauded.

“What I like most is… raising dogs. I quite like my dog.” Ning Sheng added.

Although this “like” wasn’t that “like”, Xu Ling’s slight smile turned into a bright, cheerful grin.

“This is Xu Ling.” Ning Sheng was used to introducing Xu Ling along with himself.

Xu Ling waited for that line “This is my dog.”

He was ready to stand up and bow.

“He’s the big brother who grew up with me, a very important person.” Ning Sheng introduced. “He’s half a year older than me, and we have a very good relationship.”

Xu Ling: “…”

That worked too. Big Brother Xu sounded pretty nice.

But “big brother” didn’t seem quite right either. It wasn’t what he wanted.

Xu Ling grinned foolishly, then looked dejected, then grinned foolishly again.

Xu Ling began rubbing his face.

Ning Sheng: “?”

“Are you unhappy?” Ning Sheng asked as they left the classroom.

“…I won’t hit you this whole week.” Ning Sheng told him. “I’ll only reward you.”

Xu Ling: “?”

Xu Ling: “Well, not really…”

“Hello, do you know this little flower fairy?” The searching senior jumped out, holding up a photo.

Ning Sheng stared at the photo.

One second, two seconds, three seconds.

“I don’t know him.” Ning Sheng told him.

Ning Sheng: “Oh my, the photo disappeared from my hands.”
