Chapter 64.1

Editor: Princess

“Hey, I saw that.” The good-natured senior said. “You hid it in your sleeve.”

“You didn’t see anything.” Ning Sheng said in response.

The senior: “…”

What was with this year’s freshmen?

The senior: “Give it back to me, I haven’t found…”

The senior: “Huh?”

The senior tilted his head left to look at Ning Sheng, tilted his head right to look at Ning Sheng, looked at the photo then back at Ning Sheng.

The senior’s brain crashed on the spot and, unfortunately, randomly blurted out: “Why aren’t you wearing a little dress?”

The senior: “…”

Xu Ling broke out in a cold sweat as Ning Sheng’s hand shot up.

Xu Ling flashed in front of the senior and grabbed Ning Sheng’s wrist.

“It’s time to go home, time to go home.” Xu Ling said, steering him toward the stairwell.

The senior, still shaken, called his mother on the spot.

“I found him, he’s even prettier in person than in the photo, just a bit different.” The senior told her.

The senior’s mother: “It’s been two or three years, of course there’ll be a difference.”

The senior’s mother: “But different how?”

The senior: “Gender.”

The senior’s mother: “???”

Downstairs from the academic building.

“I’m a boy.” Ning Sheng said, beating up Xu Ling, Li Haoyue and Lu Peng. “Stop calling me Princess.”

“We never called you that in front of outsiders.” Lu Peng told him. “That senior definitely has his own issues.”

“There must be some other misunderstanding.” The maths nerd said. “Maybe he saw something your grandma posted that year?”

“Or something your mom posted.” Xu Ling added.

“Do you all have some obsession with this nickname!” Ning Sheng asked.

Ning Sheng pulled the little flower fairy photo from his sleeve and handed it to Xu Ling.

“Tear it up and throw it away.” He instructed.

“Yes, yes.” Xu Ling received it with both hands. “I have to destroy it, I have to destroy it thoroughly.”

Ning Sheng was satisfied.

The maths nerd smiled coldly, but his loading was interrupted and changed to a cold stare.

The family car was parked at the school gate, picking up all four of them to go to the small villa near the school.

This was a coming-of-age gift Ning Sheng’s grandmother had given Ning Sheng recently. On days when they didn’t stay at school, they temporarily lived here.

Lu Peng and the maths nerd lived on the first floor, Ning Sheng and Xu Ling on the second floor, with windows opening onto a small garden.

“Grandma said she fell in love with this house’s little garden and swimming pool, so…” Ning Sheng turned around to find all three had disappeared.

At the villa entrance, three townspeople stood arm-in-arm, thumbs up, posing for a successful businessmen’s photo.

Ning Sheng was mortified by their tackiness.

But the locals all seemed quite happy, so he endured three minutes without comment.

In the fourth minute, the locals moved to pose by the car.

Ning Sheng: “…”

He washed a plate of grapes and slammed it on the table.

In the yard, the three came back to their senses.

Lu Peng crashed headfirst into the glass door.

Li Haoyue: “…”

“Hey, this door is so fancy, how do you open it?” Lu Peng studied it.

The maths nerd couldn’t figure it out either.

Ning Sheng was about to go over when Xu Ling pressed a button on the side wall and the door opened.

Ning Sheng sat back down.

“Ning Ning!” Xu Ling landed heavily on the sofa, pulled Ning Sheng over with one arm, held up his phone, and took a selfie.

Ning Sheng: “…”

Xu Ling loved taking these photos. He used to use his phone as a kid, now he was using his own as an adult.

“Why are these grapes all broken?” Lu Peng asked.

Lu Peng: “Maths nerd, why are you stepping on me?”

“You washed them, right?” Xu Ling asked.

Ning Sheng: “No!”

“They were just sitting there… taking up space.” Ning Sheng said. “Mm… don’t pinch my face, I’m not your toy! Xu Dashan!”

Really, lately he was getting more and more excessive.

Before, when Xu Ling pinched him, he’d just pinch once and let go. Now he’d pin him down and not only pinch but also rub and knead vigorously, the violation obvious. Ning Sheng almost felt like a toy doll being manipulated and molested at will.

Li Haoyue: “Tsk.”

“Princess, I’m participating in the university games next weekend.” Lu Peng said. “Will you come watch?”

“I will!” Ning Sheng told him.

Any excitement he hadn’t had the chance or time to join in his past life, he absolutely had to attend now.

Lu Peng had been on the track team since high school and won several awards.

“I’ll get you front row tickets.” Lu Peng told him. “I’ll bring back a trophy or medal for you to play with.”

Ning Sheng: “Great!”

“Let’s sleep early.” Xu Ling said. “Tomorrow Princess and I have early classes.”

Xu Ling went upstairs, showered, changed into pajamas, and pushed open the bedroom door: “Ning Ning!”

The bedroom was clean and tidy, but there was no Ning Sheng.

He pushed open the next bedroom door: “Ning Ning!”

Ning Sheng: “?”

Ning Sheng, fresh from his shower, was wearing only a black long-sleeved shirt that wasn’t buttoned up. He was kneeling on the bedsheets, the shirt only covering to his lower back. He had his long legs curled up and was trying to figure out how to remove the ankle bracelet’s clasp.

What kind of craftsmanship made it so hard to remove?

Xu Ling grabbed his ankle and pressed twice on the inside of the bracelet, opening the clasp.

Ning Sheng had been tugging at it for ages, leaving a red ring around his ankle as if he’d been restrained by something and had just broken free.

“You don’t have much money, so don’t buy such expensive things anymore.” Ning Sheng told him.

The current little demon king had no family fortune or business, but that was okay. He would feed him well.

“Are you changing bedrooms?” Xu Ling asked. “Then I’ll go get my blanket.”

“You sleep next door.” Ning Sheng told him.

“Why!” Xu Ling asked.

Ning Sheng: “Because this young master wants to sleep alone.”

Xu Ling: “I can sleep on the floor.”

Ning Sheng: “…”

So clingy.

Had he spoiled Xu Ling?

Boys this age, except for those with lovers, who still hugged their good friends to sleep?

“No.” He told him. “You need to learn independence.”

“He can sleep at the doorway.” Came the maths nerd’s voice from outside.

Xu Ling turned and punched the maths nerd.

“You’re getting worked up.” The maths nerd said in response.
