Chapter 18.1

Editor: Jodi

After breaking seven bowls in a row, Ning Sheng’s short vacation in S City came to an early end.

And when he was returning to Qing’an Town, he insisted that he couldn’t live without Xu Ling, so he brought Xu Ling along.

Just after their plane landed, his grandmother had someone from the villa drive to pick them up.

Most of the holiday was over, with only two days left to plan freely.

“Can we still go shrimp fishing?” Ning Sheng asked Xu Ling. “I want to go.”

Xu Ling: “We can. Let’s go call Lu Peng.”

At the entrance of Lu Peng’s family’s butcher shop, Lu Peng’s mother, holding a large cleaver in one hand and pork in the other, looked down at the two elementary school students.

“For some reason a few days ago, Lu Peng started making a fuss about going to S City.” She told them. “So I enrolled him in a training class.”

Ning Sheng: “?”

Lu Peng’s mother: “I told him to start studying hard from now so that one day he can go to S City with his own ability.”

Ning Sheng: “….”

Xu Ling took him away.

“Where are we going?” He asked. “It’s not fun to go shrimp fishing without Lu Peng here.”

“I can also fish so why is it not fun?” Xu Ling asked.

Ning Sheng: “It’s more fun with more people. Can you split yourself into several people for me?”

Xu Ling: “That will be quite challenging.”

In Qing’an Town’s only Latin dance training class, a strict teacher was teaching students passionately.

And Lu Peng, struggling with coordination and tripping over his own feet, was scolded harshly.

Two heads lay on the window, watching quietly.

“Is his mother hoping he can dance his way to S City?” Ning Sheng mused.

Xu Ling: “It’s auntie herself who wants to learn, right?”

Ning Sheng: “En….”

It was still him who was good at raising little kids. At least he wasn’t making Xu Ling take Latin dance lessons.

But, did Xu Ling know how to dance? How about…..

“Let’s go.” Before he could finish his thought, Xu Ling yanked him away, “Let’s go and fish out Lu Peng.”

“Five, six, seven, eight… wrong hands!” The teacher instructed. “Do it again.”

A small stone hit Lu Peng’s butt.

Lu Peng: “?”

“Can’t you do it?” From outside the window, Ning Sheng called out, “Let me do it.”

Xu Ling removed the brick from his hand: “It’s to call him out to play, not to assassinate him.”

Ning Sheng: “Is something wrong with you? I just wanted to make some noise!”

“Sit here.” Xu Ling parked his wheelchair in the sunlight, “I’ll call him.”

Ning Sheng: “Oh.”

The sun was just right today, with a warm breeze caressing his face, so he closed his eyes comfortably.

This was his beloved Qing’an Town, he had returned here again.

It wasn’t long before he heard Lu Peng’s voice.

“Princess, wuu wuu wuu.” Lu Peng shouted, “You guys have finally come to rescue me.”

“Don’t touch me.” Ning Sheng said, “Nobody wanted to rescue you, we just want you to hurry up and catch earthworms.”

Lu Peng run off happily.

And pushing him, Xu Ling followed along.

Because the weather was nice, Ning Sheng was also willing to move around more, so while Xu Ling and Lu Peng were preparing the shrimp fishing tools, he stood up by the pond and tried to walk a distance.

Two minutes later and feeling it was enough, he turned to sit down but his wheelchair was gone.

Ning Sheng: “?”

The little devil king, holding his wheelchair was standing twenty meters away, grinning at him.

“What are you doing?” Ning Sheng asked him, “Bring it over quickly.”

“Ning Ning, come here!” Jumping up, Xu Ling waved at him, “Come over here.”

Ning Sheng: “……”

“Are you crazy?” He asked, “Give it to me now!”

But it was as if Xu Ling didn’t understand as he kept smiling at him from a distance.

So Ning Sheng had no choice but to muster the strength to walk a few more steps.

He really hated walking. Every cell in his body was resisting, his legs were weak and he felt powerless, wanting to kneel down.

“Brat, I’m going to beat you to death.” He said.

“Ning Ning, come over here then you can beat me however you want.” The little devil king continued to frolic.

His unexercised legs grew weaker, but his pride wouldn’t allow him to fall to the ground.

Really crazy, this brat was rebelling.

The ground was dirty and embarrassing; he couldn’t sit down.

“I…” He thought for a moment then said hesitatingly, “was wrong.”

Ning Sheng: “I shouldn’t have argued with you just now or called you a fool. I won’t say it again.”

It took him a great lot of effort to squeeze out this sentence.

But Xu Ling just moved back two steps, still waving at him: “Ning Ning, come here!”

Ning Sheng: “……”

What was Xu Ling up to today and what kind of game was he playing?
