Chapter 41.1

“Didn’t you say you were all packed up?” Ning Sheng asked Xu Ling in a lowered voice.
Xu Ling: “…”
“You said it was almost done.” Ning Sheng added, “Otherwise, I would have definitely gone to take a look in the piano room.”
“You all heard that.” Ning Sheng added, “right?”
Lu Peng: “Yeah.”
Xu Ling: “My bad. I should’ve just moved the whole house here, like a hardworking snail.”
Ning Sheng: “I hate snails. Are you doing this on purpose to irritate me?”
Xu Ling: “…From now until next week, I’ll just take the blame for everything.”
“Wow, classmate.” A fellow student approached, “I love music. Can I see your violin?”
“You’ll have to wait a few days.” Ning Sheng said, “my violin is currently invisible.”
Fellow student: “?”
“Little Young Master Ning, do you want me to go back and get it?” Ning Sheng’s family driver asked.
“There’s no need.” Ning Sheng said, “I’ll be going back this weekend anyway.”
“I’ve gotten so used to seeing you all running around Qing’an Town that sending you to the city for school feels a little bittersweet.” Xu Ling’s stepfather said sincerely.
Under the dappled light and shadows, Xu Ling turned back, his brows furrowing slightly, as if a little moved.
Xu Ling: “From what I just observed, there isn’t a single car wash within 2 kilometers of the school.”
Xu Ling: “If you opened a branch here, you could offer parents a 10% discount and wash cars to your heart’s content five days a week.”
Xu Ling’s stepfather floored the gas pedal, driving out of the school district without a hint of reluctance.
Ning Sheng’s car also left, and the few of them wandered around the new school with their luggage.
“Grandma said she’s still picking houses near the school.” Ning Sheng told them, “so we’ll be living in the school for a while.”
“Princess, it’s better to be closer.” Lu Peng said in response, “you can sleep in longer in the morning.”
Li Haoyue: “Indeed.”
“From now on.” Ning Sheng announced, “don’t call me Princess anymore! We’re in high school now, don’t go overboard!”
Xu Ling: “Okay, okay.”

The dormitory area was on the west side of the teaching building, and because Ning Sheng’s grandmother had provided the school with a bunch of medical records from Ning Sheng’s childhood as well as a building in advance, the four of them were arranged to stay together.
In the small room of about ten square meters, four desks and two bunk beds were crammed in.
Ning Sheng turned to leave.
Xu Ling: “Where are you going?”
Ning Sheng: “I’m dropping out.”
Xu Ling: “…”
He yanked him back.
“The dormitory is quite interesting.” Xu Ling told him.
Ning Sheng: “I miss Peiqi.”
Xu Ling: “…”
What he missed Peiqi? How many times did he even feed Peiqi in a day?
“You brought me here to go to school, and now you don’t want to go. Do you think that’s appropriate?” Xu Ling asked him.
Ning Sheng: “It’s appropriate, only dogs need to be trained.”
Xu Ling took a deep breath.
“Can you two talk about something high school students should talk about?” Li Haoyue asked while moving books onto the table.
“Prince… Ning Sheng.” Lu Peng called, “where should I put your little cactus?”
Ning Sheng pointed to the bed next to Xu Ling’s name.
Xu Ling: “Hiss…”
“Put it on the desk.” Xu Ling said, “make sure to clean the pot.”
Lu Peng went to clean the pot.
“Prince… Ning Sheng.” Li Haoyue asked, “do you want to…”
Ning Sheng sat on the chair, glancing back coldly: “Is my name that hard to say?”
“What do you want?” He continued.
Li Haoyue: “Change beds. Have you ever slept on the top bunk?”
Ning Sheng had never slept on the top bunk.
“Switch with Dog Xu.” Li Haoyue told him, “let him sleep on top.”
Ning Sheng turned his head: “Dog Xu.”
Xu Ling: “Beg me.”
“Fine.” Ning Sheng nodded, “A broom or a slap, which one do you think is more sincere to use when begging?”
Xu Ling: “….”
“What? You said you want both?” Ning Sheng’s finger rested against his ear.
Xu Ling: “Do you think I dare to speak?”
