Chapter 47.1

Editor: Princess

Xu Ling’s heart, which had just settled down a few seconds ago, seemed to be lightly swept by a feather again.

“In your dorm, is Xu Ling the only one sweeping?” The dorm manager confirmed again.

Lu Peng raised his hand: “I sweep too.”

The math nerd: “Me too.”

“Then why didn’t you put your names down?” The dorm manager asked.

Li Haoyue: “We workhorses don’t deserve to have our names on the list.”

Lu Peng: “That’s right!”

The dorm manager: “…”

After submitting the duty roster, the group returned to their dorm to air out the room that had been vacant for several days.

“This door opens outward.” Lu Peng said, “I always forget and keep pulling it.”

“That’s because you’re stupid.” Ning Sheng said.

In the dorm room, the boys took out their holiday assignments one by one, placed them on their desks, checked for any missing work, and helped each other.

“Hey, I’m missing an English test paper.” Lu Peng said. “Princess, let me copy yours.”

“I’ll rent it to you.” Ning Sheng, who had just finished showering, handed over his test paper. “One pig tail per minute.”

Lu Peng: “…”

He took the test paper, photographed it, quickly handed it back, and then copied from the photo.

Lu Peng said proudly: “Haven’t I gotten smarter?”

Ning Sheng: “Who’s talking? So loudly?”

Lu Peng: “…”

“The school assignments are getting fewer.” The math nerd felt like he hadn’t written enough.

“Did you guys write your holiday diary?” Li Haoyue asked.

The Ninth Middle School had an unwritten rule that diaries were required after every holiday.

And the beautiful-sounding reason was that it was to effectively supervise students’ holiday study conditions.

Xu Ling: “I wrote it before the holiday even started.”

Lu Peng: “I borrowed one from a senior student and slightly changed the dates.”

Ning Sheng: “?”

Ning Sheng gave a cold laugh.

“Assigning homework during holidays is just annoying.” Ning Sheng said. “Holidays are meant for fun, why do they need to supervise my studying?”

Ning Sheng: “Why don’t the principal and teachers write one too, so we can supervise their holiday work conditions?”

Xu Ling: “Alright, alright, we know you didn’t write it.”

Ning Sheng: “Hmph.”

Ning Sheng very slowly took out a newly bought notebook and opened it.

Li Haoyue: “Princess, the brand logo on your notebook is so big.”

Li Haoyue: “They’ll definitely check yours first.”

Ning Sheng: “…”

Good point.

He switched to a more expensive one without a luxury brand logo and started a study livestream—

[Oh, the young master is live streaming today. Is that 2,000-yuan pen for real?]

[Is the little mathematician not here?]

[Such thin wrists, such beautiful hands, let me touch them. drooling.jpg]

[What are you writing? A diary?]

[It must be a diary, but ten minutes have passed and he’s only written “Today.” Are you leaving it blank for us to imagine the young master’s daily life?]

[Tsk, he turned off the sound, how stingy.]

[He’s angry. I’m going to insult the young master with a mere 50-yuan donation.]

Ning Sheng really didn’t want to write this diary.

He decided to just accept punishment standing outside the classroom tomorrow morning.

He turned off the livestream’s audio, planning to drink some warm water before shutting down the stream and resting.

Just as he stood up, he smelled the fresh scent of tea leaves.

Xu Ling was sitting on a chair with his long legs spread out, holding a steaming cup of green tea, quietly and peacefully lost in thought.

Ning Sheng: “?” Why was he so comfortable?

“What are you doing?” He asked.

“Cooling down.” Xu Ling said.

Calming his mind, clearing away distractions, and trying not to think about unnecessary things.

“Just drinking tea isn’t enough.” Ning Sheng told him.

Xu Ling: “Do you have any other brilliant ideas?”

Ning Sheng: “Helping others is virtuous and cultivates character.”

Xu Ling: “…”

“I’m not going to help you with your homework.” Xu Ling smiled. “You’re in high school now and still forgetting to do your homework. I’m not helping you anymore.”

“Help or don’t help, I don’t care.” Ning Sheng took his cup to get water.

Xu Ling: “There’s water in the dorm!”

Ning Sheng didn’t even listen and walked straight out of the dorm.

“Hey, you made princess angry.” Lu Peng said with schadenfreude.

“I can handle it.” Xu Ling said.

Lu Peng: “Then why do you keep staring at the door?”

About five minutes later, Ning Sheng returned with his empty water cup and stopped behind Xu Ling: “I’m going to hit you now.”

Xu Ling: “Go ahead.”

Ning Sheng took out several pieces of chocolate from his school uniform pocket, all the kinds Xu Ling liked when he was little.

Ning Sheng: “I’m bombing you with sugar-coated bullets.”

“Help me write it.” Ning Sheng leaned on the table, sat on Xu Ling’s desk, and reached out to pat Xu Ling’s head. “Aren’t you good at making things up?”

Xu Ling: “No.”

Xu Ling: “Damn, don’t step on me.”

Xu Ling: “Ow.”

A few minutes later, in Ning Sheng’s still-open study livestream, Xu Ling sat down.
