Chapter 50.1
Editor: Princess
“Recently, a trend of sticking bandages on foreheads has suddenly emerged among students at the Number Nine Middle School. It started when some of the school’s top-looking students led the way, were complimented for looking good, and triggered others to follow suit…” Said the short video playing on the homeroom teacher’s phone.
The homeroom teacher’s gaze shifted from Xu Ling in the screen to Xu Ling in front of him.
“Your dormitory will have to read a self-criticism this Friday.” The homeroom teacher said quietly.
“Because of fashion?” Xu Ling asked.
The homeroom teacher: “Because of skipping class.”
Xu Ling: “Is that all? A self-criticism won’t even fill a page.”
The homeroom teacher: “That’s not my problem, figure it out yourself.”
“Can I help write Ning Ning’s self-criticism?” Xu Ling asked.
The homeroom teacher: “…”
The homeroom teacher: “No, all four of you have to go.”
“No problem.” Xu Ling walked away cheerfully.
Xu Ling brought this news back to the classroom.
“Why should I criticize myself for my youth.” Ning Sheng said coldly. “What’s wrong with skipping class? I can still get first place without attending any of these classes.”
Xu Ling: “You can, but you’d have to stab learning god Li first.”
“Shut up, I’ll write the self-criticism.” Xu Ling said.
Ning Sheng, lying on the desk, glanced at him lazily.
“Let’s go watch Lu Peng’s test.” Xu Ling pulled him up with one hand.
**
On the field, a large group of students were queuing up.
Xu Ling found three seats in the stands.
“The math nerd went to the bathroom, I’ll use my jacket to save him a seat.” Xu Ling was about to take off his school uniform.
“Use this, it’s unlucky.” Ning Sheng took out a perfect score math test paper of the math nerd from his pocket, unfolded it, and laid it flat.
“You actually carry his test papers with you?” Xu Ling asked.
“The class representative from the next class asked me to give it to him.” Ning Sheng said.
Xu Ling: “When did you get to know the class representative from the next class?”
Ning Sheng threw his backpack at Xu Ling’s head.
Xu Ling: “This melon milk is for you to drink.”
“Do you need to be hit to speak human language?” Ning Sheng took the milk.
“I’ll go buy you a pork floss bread.” Xu Ling stood up. “Watch these two seats.”
Ning Sheng waved his hand, indicating that he had heard him and for him to hurry up.
On the field, the test was about to begin, and each student who had signed up for the sports program was making a brief self-introduction.
In the stands, seats were quite tight.
“Can I sit here?” Someone pointed to the seat next to Ning Sheng.
“It’s taken.” Ning Sheng said.
After a while, someone else asked.
Ning Sheng thought for a moment, took off the gold bracelet his grandmother had given him, and placed it on the seat next to him.
The person: “…”
“My name is Lu Peng!” Lu Peng on the field began introducing himself to the teacher. “I’m from Qing’an Town, height 185cm, weight…”
Lu Peng was probably nervous, because he was wearing one white sock and one black sock. Ning Sheng was about to start recording a video to capture this embarrassing moment when he heard a strange laugh from behind.
“Qing’an Town? What kind of shabby place is that?”
Ning Sheng turned around to see an unfamiliar male student.
“It’s a small broken town far from the city, mostly rural, and it takes over two hours to drive here.” The person next to him responded. “People from small towns definitely can’t compete with our Brother Qian, don’t worry.”
“Do you know what small broken towns are famous for producing?” Ning Sheng suddenly turned and asked.
His eyes were cold and beautiful, his temperament proud. He was well-known at school but few people could talk to him, so when he suddenly spoke, the two male students behind were a bit surprised.
“They produce country bumpkins, of course.” The male student said. “They can’t even wear matching socks.”
His friend laughed along.
Qing’an Town’s specialty was little Ning Ning’s palm slap.
Ning Sheng thought to himself.
Dog Xu grew up eating this, so let me give you outsiders a taste.
He had just raised his hand when he saw Xu Ling walking over from the corner of his eye, tossing a bag of pork floss bread.
Ning Sheng: “Hmm…”
Forget it.
He shouldn’t hit people randomly, otherwise the little demon king would smack his palm, which hurt and was embarrassing.
“Excuse me, coming through.” Xu Ling shouted, pushing through the crowd and squeezing in to sit down next to Ning Sheng. “Oww…”
Getting up, he picked an oval gold bracelet from the seat and tossed the bread to Ning Sheng.
Ning Sheng: “You flattened my bracelet.”
“I’ll bend it back for you.” Xu Ling played with the gold bracelet. “What happened to you just now?”
“Wondering why you walk like a turtle.” Ning Sheng said. “So slow.”
Xu Ling: “?”
Xu Ling turned around and observed the two people behind them but didn’t notice anything unusual for now.
“I’m here!” Li Haoyue squeezed through carrying a stack of books. “This problem is amazing, and it’s limited edition.”
Ning Sheng: “…”
On the field, the starting gun fired, and Lu Peng, now wearing matching socks, sprinted out.
“Will he be okay?” Ning Sheng felt strangely nervous.
“There will be no problem.” Li Haoyue solved problems while occasionally looking up. “We Qing’an Town people all have good stamina.”
Xu Ling: “Yes, super good.”
“Are you good too? You were as weak as me when you were little.” Ning Sheng asked Li Haoyue. “You couldn’t climb trees before either.”
The math nerd, to prove himself, grabbed a piece of metal casually, bent it, and twisted it into a spiral.
Ning Sheng: “?”
Ning Sheng: “That’s my bracelet!”
Xu Ling: “I just bent it back…”
“You guys turned my gold bracelet into a gold bar.” Ning Sheng was about to be infuriated by these two.
Xu Ling: “…”
“I’ll be very rich in the future.” Xu Ling told him. “If you stay with me as I grow up, I’ll let you unlock my hundred-billion fortune, and I’ll give you lots and lots of gold bars.”
“Get lost!” Ning Sheng said. “Xu Dashan, your face is thicker than Pei Qi’s.”
