Chapter 43.2
Editor: Jodi
The four golden suns each carried a luxury store bag, strutting through the streets.
Ning Sheng’s phone rang.
“Grandma?” Ning Sheng asked.
“Ning Ning, baby.” His grandmother started, “I’m going on a trip to Europe, and the housekeeper’s on leave too, so if you come back to Qing’an Town soon, stay at little bell’s place, okay?”
Ning Sheng: “I’m not staying in some doghouse.”
Xu Ling: “…”
“Ning Ning.” Ning Sheng’s phone rang again, and it was a call this time. “Your dad’s got a business partner whose kid also goes to Ninth High. You two should get to know each other.”
Ning Sheng: “Oh. Tell him to come see me.”
Ning Sheng’s dad: “…”
“Ahem.” Ning Sheng’s dad cleared his throat. “Anyway, just get along with him, alright?”
“Fine.” Ning Sheng hang up.
“What’s his name?” Xu Ling asked.
Ning Sheng: “Oh… I forgot to ask.”
Xu Ling smiled in satisfaction.
Come Monday, Ning Sheng’s new “buddy” showed up.
“Hi.” Bai Ming stood in front of Ning Sheng’s desk. “I used to be your desk mate.”
“Three minutes at the same desk and you call yourself a desk mate?” Xu Ling interjected. “That’s called passing by.”
Bai Ming: “?”
“Hi.” Ning Sheng responded.
“Your dad said you get sick often. If you need help with anything, you can ask me.” Bai Ming offered. “I can even room with you.”
Xu Ling: “…”
Ning Sheng: “I don’t…”
“Here, this is for you.” Bai Ming pushed over a box of candies with French packaging. “Your dad said you used to love these as a kid.”
“I just glanced at them a few times.” Ning Sheng eyed the candies, then Bai Ming, before taking the box. “Don’t flatter yourself.”

In the dorm, the four of them were originally lying on their beds scrolling through their phones.
When Ning Sheng jumped off his bed, climbed up the ladder, and kicked Xu Ling.
Xu Ling: “???”
“What is it this time? Because I’m breathing?” Xu Ling asked.
Lu Peng and Li Haoyue didn’t dare make a sound.
“Because you’re not breathing with your feet.” Ning Sheng said angrily.
Xu Ling looked up and down, feeling like he was being punished for something he didn’t do.
“A good master only has one dog.” Ning Sheng started. “I’m not playing with Bai Ming.”
He continued, “I told him, I already have… very good friends who take great care of me.”
Ning Sheng: “Can’t you trust a sun that came out of the same garden?”
Xu Ling was completely confused, however he understood those two sentences.
Ning Sheng sat on the edge of his bed, head lowered, his cheeks slightly red. He seemed like he wanted to say more, however his pride outweighed his honesty.
“You’re not allowed to sulk.” Ning Sheng said.
Xu Ling: “I’m not…”
He hadn’t even started sulking yet.
“Reluctantly… comforting you.” Ning Sheng turned his face away from Xu Ling as he raised a hand and ruffled Xu Ling’s head twice.
Xu Ling’s pupils narrowed slightly, his sharp gaze lifting, however Ning Sheng didn’t notice.
Ning Sheng: “Ah… why are you pinching my face?”
The next day, Ning Sheng made his stance clear to his dad.
“I don’t need more friends. The new guy’s just a regular classmate.”
“Alright.” His dad said in reply, “I’m freezing your card for a while.”
“Because I didn’t make new friends?” Ning Sheng asked.
“Because you suddenly bought a private jet last week!” His dad said. “You know what you did.”
Ning Sheng: “I vaguely remember that.”
Ning Sheng’s dad: “…”
“Anyway, I’m out of money, so you’re now out of money too.” His dad said before hanging up. “Complaining to your grandma won’t help.”
“P-Pr-Princess, y-you bought a j-jet?” Lu Peng, who had been eavesdropping, was stunned.
“I bought one.” Ning Sheng responded.
He’d snatched Xu Ling away from his dad and kept him from going to S City, so he had to show Xu Ling the world somehow.
Starting with something simple—like a private jet.
“You really are humble among billionaires.” Li Haoyue said.
Xu Ling, however, seemed quite pleased. “I can take care of you.”
“I can give you 30 yuan a day for pocket money, and more in the future.” He added.
The young master was really broke now.
However Ning Sheng, used to living lavishly, wasn’t about to sit around and do nothing.
A week later, he was back to buying notebooks in the hundreds and pens in the thousands.
Xu Ling: “Your dad changed his mind?”
“I started a livestream account.” Ning Sheng replied.
Xu Ling, suspicious, asked, “Livestreaming what?”
Ning Sheng: “Studying.”
Xu Ling: “?”
Xu Ling hadn’t noticed that Ning Sheng had been livestreaming while doing homework lately.
Ning Sheng’s livestreams never showed his face, only his fair, delicate fingers holding a pen.
Xu Ling watched a replay of one of the streams, and the comments were full of—
[Ah ah ah ah, such a delicate-looking high schooler.]
[His hands are so pretty, I just want to touch them.]
[Stop writing and take a break! I’ll send you money and do the problems for you.]
His vision darkened.
Great. The new dog offline had been kicked out, but now there were so many online dogs.
