Chapter 39.1

Editor: Princess

Absolutely incredible. Truly incredible.

Mu Nan sighed from the bottom of his heart.

He didn’t know whether Du Ling and Cui Zhihang’s room was like this too, but he was too busy worrying about himself to think about it. He could only sigh that feudalism kills people.

Making two men who weren’t a couple, who had once been enemies, and who were currently in conflict sleep in one bed—only the production team could come up with such an idea.

Mu Nan threw his small backpack on the floor in self-abandonment and went to visit other rooms.

“What’s your room like?” He asked Cui Zhihang.

“It’s pretty good.” Cui Zhihang stepped aside to let him see. The room had a bed at one end and a chaise lounge at the other, so they could each sleep on their own side without interfering with each other.

Cui Zhihang said, “The two girls’ room is even better. The bed must be two meters wide, and the room has everything. It’s very exquisite.”

Then after speaking, he asked, “What about yours?”

Mu Nan: Good! Bye!

However the more he didn’t let Cui Zhihang see, the more curious Cui Zhihang became. He ran to Mu Nan’s room, poked his head inside to look, then burst into earth-shattering laughter.

His laughter attracted the three girls, and a group of people stood at Mu Nan’s room door looking inside, then expressed their feelings one after another. “Wow, so gay!”

Mu Nan: …

Coincidentally, he felt the same way.

However, they obviously couldn’t switch rooms, so no matter how uncomfortable it was, he had to endure it himself.

He muttered, “This is discrimination, naked discrimination. Can’t men sleep in princess beds?”

Everyone laughed heartily, but their laughter attracted the butler.

“What are you doing?” The butler’s voice came from behind them. This voice was different from when he led them in. It was colder and more hoarse.

Everyone turned around to face the butler’s pupilless eyes. His eye sockets were gray and white, and his complexion was iron blue, clearly not that of a living person.

“Time to go to bed.” The butler said.

“Got it.” Ai Qian Qian replied.

However, the butler didn’t leave. Instead, he repeated mechanically, “Time to go to bed.” It seemed he wouldn’t give up until they returned to their rooms.

Therefore, everyone had to scatter and return to their respective rooms.

“Does anyone need to use the toilet?” The butler asked from outside the door.

Mu Nan looked puzzled. Why did they need permission even to use the bathroom? He himself didn’t need to go, then heard Cui Zhihang say he needed to.

However, just then, the sound of metal rattling came from outside the door. Mu Nan realized something was wrong. He rushed to the door to open it, only to discover that the door had been locked from the outside.

“The door is locked!” Mu Nan panicked somewhat. “What should we do? Isn’t this like catching turtles in a jar?”

“No.” Cheng Han, who hadn’t spoken for a long time, suddenly said. “We can’t get out, but they can’t get in either.”

However, Mu Nan’s expression suddenly became strange. “We’re doomed.”

“What’s wrong?”

Mu Nan lowered his head and said quietly, “I suddenly need to use the toilet.”

Cheng Han: …

Fortunately, the need to use the toilet was eventually overcome by drowsiness.

Mu Nan picked up the pillow and blanket from the bed, trying to pull off the bed sheet to spread on the floor.

“What are you doing?” Cheng Han asked.

“I’m sleeping on the floor.” Mu Nan said. “We can’t really squeeze together on this small bed.”

Cheng Han didn’t stop his actions, only asking, “Didn’t you hear what he said?”

Mu Nan paused. “What did he say?”

Cheng Han imitated the butler’s horrifying tone and repeated, “Time to go to bed.”

Mu Nan thought for a moment, then understood. “Go to bed? This is his requirement?”

Cheng Han nodded. “If I’m not mistaken, this game’s rule is to follow the rules.”

Mu Nan was enlightened by Cheng Han’s words. He recalled what the director had said when they entered: “Please follow the game rules.”

At the time, he was only focused on being scared and didn’t think much about what these game rules were. However, now he understood that every sentence the NPCs said was a rule.

“So what do we do now?” Mu Nan asked.

Cheng Han gestured toward the bed with his chin without speaking.

Mu Nan muttered as he walked over and plopped down on the bed’s edge. “Sleep then sleep! Who’s afraid of whom!”

Cheng Han chuckled lightly, the sound like a tickle in Mu Nan’s ear. He said, “It’s just sleeping, not sleeping with you. What are you afraid of?”

“Who’s afraid!” Mu Nan protested loudly. “I’m not afraid at all!”

Cheng Han deliberately didn’t expose his outward strength masking inner weakness and lay down on the bed fully clothed.
