Chapter 8.1

“You can think whatever you want.” Ning Sheng said.
“I’m not thinking anything, you just don’t treat me as a friend.” The little devil king replied.
Ning Sheng was about to get a headache.
He had argued with Xu Ling many times before, but this kindergarten-style argument was a first.
“Right, I don’t.” Ning Sheng retorted, “You are the one who’s been sticking to me all this time, right?”
Xu Ling took a step back.
The two cubs stood by the sandbox in the kindergarten, arguing back and forth.
In the end, Ning Sheng wheeled himself back to the classroom.
Xu Ling was really inexplicable.
He had been sick for these past few days, but he had still been focused on his development plan.
But the little devil king really did ignore him.
As soon as Ning Sheng returned to the classroom, Li Haoyue, the little friend, looked at him eagerly and pulled out a bunch of clearly advanced math problems.
Ning Sheng: “…”
After being reborn, he wanted to enjoy life, not do homework.
Since becoming a kindergarten cub, he had argued with Xu Ling quite a bit, but Xu Ling would quickly come over and say some irrelevant things that made him forget why he was angry in the first place.
But today, Xu Ling hadn’t come to find him at all.
It felt like everything had gone back to the beginning.
Xu Ling led a group of lackeys around, causing trouble, while he sat in the obedient students’ corner, feeling bored.
“Xu Ling!” A group of people called from the doorway, “They have set up the stall, come buy some candy!”
“I’m coming.” Xu Ling replied, walking away with the group of kids, brushing past Ning Sheng.
Maybe it was because this math nerd was too annoying or because the winter was just too cold, but just after the afternoon, after Ning Sheng lay on his desk and dozed off, he had a fever again.
He was rushed to the hospital by the caregiver.
This time, he stayed in the hospital for a whole week before he gradually regained his energy.
The kindergarten was about to go on break.
With the New Year approaching, Qing’an Town was gradually filled with a festive atmosphere. The caregiver and housekeeper at home once again urged him to go to town, saying they needed to buy things for the New Year.
Memories of the town’s New Year had become blurry in Ning Sheng’s mind, so he was curious about the local New Year decorations along the way and observed them as he walked.
The supermarket shelves were stocked with all sorts of snacks.
The caregiver tried to cheer him up, picking up a bag of potato chips and asking if he wanted them.
Ning Sheng was about to shake his head when he caught sight of a kid standing by the snack aisle.
