Chapter 58.2 Mo Yi Yan who was awake!

Mo Yixu tilted his head, drank half of the bottle of coffee, smacked his lips then asked, “Brother Chen, did you use to… know my big brother very well?”

Chen Jiao froze for a moment, “We only, only sort of know each other. I worked as Mo Ge’s assistant so we’ve came into contact a few times.”

“Oh.” Mo Yi Xu nodded thoughtfully.

There was another moment of silence between the two of them before Mo Yixu found the topic again, “Brother Chen, you sing so well, how come you’re working as an assistant for my second brother?”

Chen Jiao let out an ‘ah’ sound then laughed helplessly, “The entertainment industry… isn’t as simple as one might think, behind all the glitz and glamour is blood, sweat and tears. I’m already luckier than a lot of people by getting this assistant job in the first place.”

“Did you write the song ‘Galaxy’ yourself?”

“Hmm.”

“Was it written recently? It has a nice mood to it. It must have been inspired by being under the stars, right?” Mo Yixu’s fingers couldn’t help but tap rhythmically on the coffee can as he remembered the rhythm of ‘Galaxy.’

Chen Jiao paused, then replied, “It was written when I was in university. I only remember that at that time I was sitting… on the rooftop, the sky was full of stars, I was holding a guitar and there was…..” There was only one person. Only one person? Hmm, only one person.

They didn’t notice that Mo Yi Yan, who had been lying on the hospital bed, had slowly opened his eyes while they were talking. Suddenly seeing the light again, his brow furrowed as it stung his eyes, but he still tried to see the person in front of him desperately.

The sunlight cast a half-shadow on the man’s face, highlighting his soft contours, warm and jade-like temperament as well as the tear mole at the corner of his eye that would go unnoticed if one didn’t look closely….

Mo Yi Yan’s breathing suddenly turned erratic. This face, this face!

“Cough cough cough….” His chest moved up and down and he couldn’t help but cough.

Chen Jiao and Mo Yixu turned their heads nervously at the same time.

“Big brother, are you alright?”

“Cough! I’m ok…” He struggled to get up. Chen Jiao subconsciously wanted to help him but his hand stopped mid-air. As he hesitated, Mo Yixu had already helped him up.

Slightly lost, Chen Jiao wanted to retreat but a huge force suddenly clamped his arm out of thin air, holding his slender wrist firmly in place like a pair of pincers.

“Ugh.” Chen Jiao couldn’t help but let out a stifled grunt, looking at Mo Yi Yan who had grabbed his wrist in surprise.

Mo Yi Yan seemed to be using all his strength as the veins on the back of his hand bulged, his eagle-like eyes staring at the man in front of him. This was the face, this was the face! He could see it clearly and remember it. It had appeared in his dreams countless nights and he admonished himself that he had to remember it, he had to remember it, only to be left with nothing but a blank after waking up.

“You…” Mo Yi Yan spoke, his voice hoarse.

“Pre…. President Mo, I’m Chen Jiao, do you, do you want me to call the doctor?” Chen Jiao thought that there had been a change in Mo Yi Yan’s condition.

How could Mo Yi Yan let him go? He yanked him forward with great force and Chen Jiao who was originally not very strong and also panicking in his heart stumbled and almost fell on top of him.

Mo Yixu looked on in disbelief, somewhat at a loss as to what to do.

“Are you Chen Jiao?” Mo Yi Yan’s cold pool-like eyes stared at him intently, as if he could pull him into the abyss at any moment.

Chen Jiao’s wrists hurt, his thighs had just hit the edge of the bed, and he felt like he couldn’t breathe from being stared at from such a close distance.

“Ye…. Yes. President Mo, we’ve met before.” His voice trembled slightly as he said this, struggling slightly to get out of this awkward situation.

The result of Chen Jiao’s movement was that Mo Yi Yan looked as if someone wanted to steal his property as he pulled him back desperately. Mo Yixu on the side really couldn’t look on anymore. The way his big brother was acting was really too ungentlemanly. He looked like a bully trying to steal a good woman… cough… a man.

Just as he joined in the tug of war, trying to separate Mo Yi Yan and Chen Jiao, the door to the ward was pushed open.

Mother Mo returned home to rest for a few minutes but was still uneasy, so she asked someone to prepare soup in order to bring it over. As a result, as soon as she opened the door, she was confronted with this scene. Her two sons were pulling a man and fighting over him and from where she was standing, they seemed to be pulling him towards their arms. For a moment, she almost fainted as her blood pressure spiked.

“What are you doing!?”

The three of them froze at the same time and turned their heads to see a serious-faced Mother Mo and the housekeeper at the door.

Mo Yixu let go like he had been electrocuted and Chen Jiao backed away desperately. It was only Mo Yi Yan who was still holding on to Chen Jiao’s hand for dear life.

  1. I think the one who has similar appearance with Mo Yi cheng that Grandpa Abel and Grandma Anie mentioned last time is Mo Yi Yan. Didn’t he fall into coma for years? I think he died but reborned as an elf in game and his player is Chen Jiao.
