When Shen Ci and Brother Zhang arrived at the address given by Lu Xiao, Shen Ci noticed something—Lu Xiao seemed to be moving here too?

In the spacious mansion, many familiar faces of servants were busy packing things, and even the housekeeper Auntie Bai, who had taken care of Lu Xiao since he was young, had also come along.

Auntie Bai smiled when she saw Shen Ci: “Xiao Ci, go to the main hall and have some tea and rest first.”

There was still no response from the other end of the phone, but there were faint sounds of a door opening as well as footsteps, and finding it strange, Yang Ning continued to ask: “Where are you right now? It can’t be that you sneaked off to attend the party without telling me, right?”

“He’s asleep.”

The low, deep male voice that suddenly sounded startled Yang Ning so much that he jumped. He looked at his phone in surprise, the call was still connected to Shen Ci!

“Um, excuse me, who are you––” Yang Ning frowned as he asked.

But the only response was the “beep beep” sound of the call having been hung up.

Yang Ning: “???”

What the hell!

From the tone of that man just now, it didn’t seem as if Shen Ci had been kidnapped by a bad guy, so who was he?

It couldn’t be that some gold master had taken Shen Ci under his wing, right…… Scared by this thought, he called Brother Zhang hurriedly.

Brother Zhang was chatting with the director, and when he heard Yang Ning’s flustered questions, he nearly burst into wild laughter: “Xiao Yang, Xiao Yang, don’t let that brat hear what you just said, otherwise he’ll argue with you for a whole day and night.”

“That’s his little uncle! Have you forgotten?” 

Then the call was ended, leaving Yang Ning dumbfounded.

He had met Shen Ci’s little uncle at the annual meeting and birthday party before. He was the big boss of Yunxiao.

But why would Shen Ci stay at his house during filming?

And it seems it was also this guy who inexplicably blocked his and Lin Wan’s Weibo accounts?

Yang Ning held his phone, lost in thought.

Lu Xiao reached out, hung the phone Shen Ci had put next to the bathtub up, then lowered his head to look at the sleeping figure in the tub.

The foam floating on the water had thinned out, so he could even see the scene under the water vaguely. Lu Xiao’s brows furrowing tightly, then he forced himself to look away and focus on Shen Ci’s sleeping face.

His fair skin was flushed from the steam, his long lashes casting irregular shadows on his cheeks, lips glistening and parted slightly…..

“….” Lu Xiao turned his eyes away expressionlessly once again, staring at the small TV next to the bathtub, trying to distract himself.

However the noisy sound from the TV faded away gradually, leaving only the sound of his own turbulent thoughts crashing in his mind, his breathing becoming uneven.

He originally just wanted to keep an eye on Shen Ci to prevent those cats and dogs from luring him away.

But seeing Shen Ci so defenceless by his side, not even bothering to lock the bathroom door while bathing….. he began to regret this decision.

He grabbed a towel, lifted Shen Ci out of the tub gently, then wrapped him up, but despite him deliberately avoiding looking, the smooth and soft touch of his skin still distracted him.

Lu Xiao carried the sleeping Shen Ci to the bedroom, dried him off, and helped him put on the fitting pyjamas he had prepared in advance, veins bulging on his forehead as he tried to control himself.

“Huff…”

Shen Ci lay comfortably on the bed, let out a small snore, then turned over, his lips smacking together as he slept.

The hem of his clothes flipped up, revealing a large expanse of his fair waist, the slender curve rising into his pyjamas pants, concealing allure.

Lu Xiao: “…” 

If he teased him again, he would really eat him up.

Lu Xiao tucked him in immediately, smoothed out the sheets, and pressed his fingertips against his forehead to calm himself down.

Then he stood stiffly by the bed for a while, leaned in, kissed Shen Ci on the forehead gently, then his warm breath moved down along the bridge of Shen Ci’s nose slowly….

In the end, Lu Xiao restrained himself and stopped at the tip of his nose, letting out a sigh.

“Baby, goodnight.”
