The next day, Xu Ling’s stepdad was washing a car with a high-pressure water gun when a big truck pulled up in front of their house.
He stepped back, stunned with both the water gun and himself, “I’m not washing a truck this big!”
Then the truck’s cargo opened slowly to reveal a tightly wrapped new bed.

The hornet buzzed endlessly, buzzing throughout the entire exercise break time.

In the student cafeteria, Xu Ling opened a bottle of milk and handed it to Ning Sheng.

“Sour rice with slop water.” Ning Sheng told him.
Xu Ling who had just finished drinking it: “……”
“You’ve tried it before?” Xu Ling asked him.
Ning Sheng: “No, I deliberately said it to disgust you.”
Li Haoyue came over carrying a stack of books just as Xu Ling had pinned Ning Sheng’s hand to the chair.
“Use more strength.” Xu Ling grinned, “Hit me, scratch me.”
“You sound like that pervert.” Li Haoyue sat down at the empty seat by the table.
“I’m just playing with him.” Xu Ling explained.
Li Haoyue: “That sounds even more perverted.”
“Who…. wants to play with you?!” Ning Sheng struggled hard, managed to slap Xu Ling’s head twice, then was grabbed by Xu Ling’s hands and pressed back.
“Princess, bite his hand.” Lu Peng suggested.
“Don’t lump me….. together with you barbarians….” Ning Sheng’s voice came from under the table.
Then a few seconds later.
Xu Ling: “Ah, ahhh ouch.”
Li Haoyue: “Tsk.”
“Why did you bring these to the cafeteria?” Ning Sheng wiped his mouth with a napkin, tidied up his messy clothes neatly, then turned to Li Haoyue, “You’ve finally discovered that your spiritual food can be mixed with rice?”
“These are for you guys.” Li Haoyue said, “The new Dream Lover questions version, that when you answer, feels like you’re falling in love.”
Ning Sheng: “A headache?”
Lu Peng: “Stuck in the throat?”
Xu Ling: “Do we have to talk about love?”
Li Haoyue: “As long as you guys can finish this book, your math grades will definitely skyrocket….. Come back! Where are you guys running to! Cowards!”
“I actually got called a coward by the math nerd?” Lu Peng asked incredulously as they left the cafeteria.
Ning Sheng: “Then go back and do the math problems.”
“I’m the biggest coward in the world.” Lu Peng said, “I’m going to buy a bottle of water and go back to class. See you after school, Princess.”
